The peach iced tea is a real treat with free refills. The baked potatoes are ginormous. I'm a carrot cake snob so I had to try it. It has raisins so not a fan. But the slice is pretty big. Guess I'll continue baking my own. Service is always stellar. They bring food to you and clear tables for you. But without the pretentiousness of a full service place. Very relaxed atmosphere. This was my first time here, and I ordered the Pick for Two for togo choosing half salad and half sandwich. Everything was packaged neatly, and the portion size was very generous--great value for the price. The iced tea was incredibly smooth and refreshing, really delicious. I was hesitant to lunch at this deli because I had such a bad experience at the Fairfax location. Fast forward to a group luncheon with my volunteer group. One of women who selected this location said they weee great. The dining area is bright with wide windows surrounding the room. It was clean and welcoming. Ordering is via counter. The staff was helpful and customized my sandwich to my liking. They offer a choose 2 and my choices were a pastrami sandwich and a "spud". The food was so delicious. The spud was a gigantic potatoe. This potatoe was a bigger than what most sit down restaurants serve. My pastrami on a baguette was so tasty: meat was hot and lean. I loved the portion. The highlight and reason for the 5 star was the staff. Food is delivered to your table via numbering system. The gentleman who attended to our table was so hospitable. I needed lemon, he brought lemon. I needed butter, he brought butter. To go containers were given as requested. Other staff members also came to check on our table. If you're looking for simply lunch in the Ashbrook area I would highly recommend this place. You can get a soups, salads, baked potato's, and more all for a decent price and it's all pretty darn good. This is not my first time at McAlister's Deli in Ashbrook. The workers are nice and the manager is very friendly & knowledgeable we've never had a bad experience at this location and the food never disappoints today we got a Spud max + the spicy turkey melt + veggie soup and a Caesar salad. The food is always good here. But, I went in today and heard the manager yelling at an employee. Both were sitting at a table near the front where you order food. I don't know what the female employee did or did didn't do -but screaming at your staff in front of customers is ridiculous. His tone and words were humiliating this employee. Rude, mean, and condescending is all that I can say... If you don't have an office in the back of this restaurant then you should be talking to your employees before the doors open!! read more

Feeling soup? Easy. Want to feel like you're gaming the system by having both? They don't even judge you -- they applaud you. I half expect confetti to fall from the ceiling every time I order. The sweet tea here should have its own fan club. Seriously, I'm one glass away from writing it a love letter. And the jalapeños? We pleasantly surprised to come across a McAllister in NoVa! Had no idea they have a few locations around here. We had to stop by and decided to get a late lunch. Inside was clean and lots of tables and booths. Fast casual style deli, you order your food at the counter and they give you a number and deliver your food to your table. We ordered 2 Choose 2s. 1/2 McAlister Club Wrap, 1/2 Kickin Crab Chowder & 1/2 French dip, 1/2 Savannah Chopped Salad. Portions were great and pricing is reasonable. Everything was delicious. Definitely an upgrade from Panera and will have to checkout where the other locations are if we are ever in those areas too! read more

We ordered for the very first time through Uber Eats and what an AMAZING SURPRISE!! My friend and I each ordered the Reuben sandwich which were absolutely PACKED to the gills with DELICIOUS tender pastrami!!!!! Not overpowering with the sauerkraut or sauce either which was a plus!! The cheese was melted perfectly!! It was the absolute PERFECT combination!!!! We both also got an order of their potato salad which was also amazing!! My friend ordered an additional side of their elbow mac & cheese and it was perfectly done!! Super cheesy and delicious!! He also ordered the Brookie Bar and scarfed it all down!! Tried the pick 2 option and got their Chipotle Chicken & Bacon spud and French Dip sandwich. The spud was very good, moist and and rich. Recommend, if you like spuds. The french dip was meh. It does come with a liquid dipping soup which was also just alright. The sandwich itself doesn't have much taste so you kind of have to dip to get more flavor. Huge fan of McAlister's! I used to travel to the Fairfax location before this Ashburn spot opened up. You can't beat the Choose 2 option. If you like potatoes, get a potato as part of the choose 2 deal. Yes it says it's "half" of a potato, but trust me, it's not half of anything. It's ginormous. Plus you pair it with half a sandwich. Exactly what Ashburn needed !! We really didn't have a "true" deli so I was excited to hear about this one opening. Ordered lunch for 3 today for pickup. Online ordering is fantastic and easy. Was all ready on time as promised. Had the McAlister Club which was absolutely perfect! First time here - while the food was delicious - I do wish the cashier had asked me if I was a reward member - she never did so in order to receive my free tea, I had to inform her. Hub's brownie was not delivered with lunch so we had to ask for that again. I went up a 2nd time to get their carrot cake and again no one asked me if I was a member so this transaction was not awarded to my account. I also was not given receipts. I'm a stickler for receipts as I've been burned several times being charged higher than quoted(although not by McAlister's). My sandwich also was missing the sauerkraut that was described as being part of the sandwich. I was expecting so much more, based on the reviews. The potato soup was so bland, that I could only manage a few spoonfuls. I also ordered a Ruben. This was a sub par Ruben, that needed more sauerkraut and thousand island sauce.... In other words this was a very bland Ruben. On the plate was also a slightly shriveled pickle, it did taste fine thought so it was the highlight of my lunch. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant, hence the two stars. read more

We've driven by here a few times and always assumed it was a sit-down restaurant with servers. We were at Lidl across the street and decided to give it a try and I am so glad we stopped in! It is a casual eatery with menu boards displayed above the cash registers and lots of choices: sandwiches, salads, loaded potatoes, soups, and a great variety of sides. Our party ordered four sandwiches: French dip, New Yorker, roast beef, and a veggie. Our sides were macaroni and cheese (2), potato salad, and a garden salad. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were generous, especially the sides. I really appreciated that when we ordered water, they put it in a large cup with a lid. Other places cheap out and give teeny-weeny kids sized cups without lids. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area - great selection, great food, and a great price. read more

I can't believe it took us so long to try this place. It is very close to my son's school but for some reason I kept forgetting about it. I have a long drive from Lovettsville to Ashburn to get him back and forth so I decided to check out their online ordering. Talk about easy! Once we tried it we were hooked. We now pick up at least once a week. I order online and then send my son in to pick it up, back on route 7 and away we go. The sandwiches are good, but the salads are amazing. Sometimes a pickle or dressing is missing but nothing that really makes a difference. So glad I get a night off of cooking during the week. read more

I got the King Club for the 2nd time and couldn't be happier. My 2nd experience is the same as my first. The club sandwich is packed with meat. Very flavorful with the sauce they had on the club.
