I tried this place after seeing it yesterday either on Yelp or Facebook. I had to drive about 35 minutes to get there, which isn't bad but is further than I would normally go for lunch. I have to say I was not disappointed. I got the Super Smokey, which has Roast Beef, smoked turkey, ham and cheese. It only comes in one size (most are either 8" or 12") and it was HUGE. I thought the ratio of meat to bread and just enough veggies was very good. It also had just enough mayo. If I could change one thing, I'd add more hot peppers but still a great sub. It also comes with two pickle spears. The lady who took my order was also very nice. I'd definitely go back again to try one of their other subs. Definitely worth it. read more

Our little hidden sandwich shop gem is consistently delicious. The price point $9.99-15.99 always delivers a generous sandwich. Since the late 70's this tiny sandwich shop with a couple of dine-in tables has a true following. My small 8" Mad Italian makes a couple of meals for me. There's just the right amount of lettuce and a boatload of freshly sliced meat. The meat carrier ie "sub" is always fresh and soft and also carries all that meat without drenching the meat carrier(bread). Check them out because it's quite impressive. Yes, the many chain sub shops saturate this sound of the county. BUT, the small business deli shops surpass the chains in both quality and service. The Mad Italian was my St. Paddy's treat for the day. Customized to my specifications, the sandwich took me on a food coma. The meat portion was double that of any chain place. Love coming to this Deli location specifically. I'm not a sandwich person but the person who runs this shop has a gift for making sandwiches. I usually grab a budster and switch it with fresh mozzarella and add oregano (sooo good). They are always friendly and their shop is clean all the time. The rolls are really good and to me that's half the battle in finding a good hoagie anywhere south of Phila. The shop itself is pretty basic and has minimal seating but the quality of the food and the service is really what makes this place special. They have a good list of different sandwich's with Italian meats like capicola or more regular sandwiches like just Turkey, ham, etc. I usually go for the Italian stallion. Best subs around. This is a legit Italian deli. I grew up going to the one in Herndon when it was run by the original Italian owners and only accepted cash. This location is following the same formula that has kept that Herndon location around for 30+ years (minus the Redskins memorabilia). You can't got wrong with the signature Deli sub. My only gripe about this location is that sometimes it is randomly closed. I think they were closed for a week for a staff vacation which I get because they only have two people working there (all I've ever seen there). I don't mind that, but I've gone up there 15-20 minutes before their posted closing time, and it's been closed. Otherwise, 5/5 for subs. read more

We ordered a few hoagies for pick up for my birthday celebration and everyone agreed - they are the best sandwiches they've had in the region!
