I stopped in Romano's deli pizzeria for a quick lunch. I grew up in New York City So I know what NYC pizza is supposed to taste like. So many pizza places say they have NYC pizza but they don't. This was the first pizza I've had that checks all the boxes for me. The service is amazing and the staff is awesome. I will definitely be making this my new pizza stop. The food was delicious. We got a Hawaiian pizza and onion rings to share. The onion rings were fresh, crispy... yum! The Hawaiian pizza was hot, well stocked and just a bit crispy... how we liked it! The customer service was okay. We had to go to the counter to get a menu, then to order, we got our canned sodas, we cleaned up our dishes, we got our to-go box. Waitress was friendly when she brought our pizza and onion rings but appeared we did everything else. But we didn't have to cook it, so that's a win in my book! read more

was starving on my way to an appointment and this local shop happened to be nearby. i ordered a Corned Beef & Swiss Sub. the sub was fantastic! so delicious and it had the perfect amount of fillings. i spent $13 on the 10" sub and a bottle of water from the fridge. there is also a meal combo with a fountain drink and fries, but i wasn't looking to eat that much. i 100% am going to be eating here again next time Im in the Sterling area! i'll have to try another sub next time. read more

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I just enjoyed the best Chicken Parmigiana I ever had.... Including the Chicken Parm I had during my time in NYC, Hoboken, San Diego. and San Francisco. Crispy breaded with juicy chicken and a delicious tomato based sauce that left quite the impression. I found out about Romano's when I was searching for a place with pizza and wings nearby. (We live in Sterling) A month ago I took three of my grandsons for dinner. Everyone working there were so nice. We had cheese pizza, wings and a kids cheeseburger with fries. Delicious! My grandson devoured his cheeseburger and fries and I haven't had pizza this good in a long time. I can't believe I didn't know of this place before. It's a little tucked away (off Davis Drive in Sterling behind the car wash and Sunoco) a few tables to eat at; I'm sure they do mostly take out and delivery. It was perfect for us. Today I ordered pizza and a corned beef pastrami sub for my mom (She loved it; she is 95 years young) The fact that they have fresh ingredients makes me happy. My wife and I both had the steak and cheese subs with fries. First, let me say I wish everyone could do fries as this place does - very crisp outside, well cooked potato inside and totally non-greasy - perfect fries! Our favorite take-out for over a decade! Best burger in Sterling. Pizza has a great crust, with just the right chew. The lasagna is a family fav too. We've eaten most of the menu and have yet to be dissatisfied. In fact the only time I've had a slip up was a few years ago. They forgot to make one of the cheesesteaks on our order and on the way out I mentioned that the fries in the bag were probably steamed soft by the time I got home. Do not let the exterior facade fool you, yes it's in a business park but it's well worth the stop to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Stopped in today as I was waiting on my car stereo installation and sat down to have the Gyro platter. Granted the interior has one wall that's used for storage but again do not let that sway your decision to eat here. The platter was on point with one of THE BEST Gyro sandwiches I've had in a Logan time. The lightly battered fries were super crisp and hot with just the right bite and fluffy potato interior. The Gyro was wrapped and presented in foil and loaded with goodness from fresh sliced tomatoes, Gyro meat, onion, greens and tzatziki sauce all wrapped up in a nice toasted warm Grecian flatbread. To finish it off the side Greek salad was just the right size, dressed accordingly and accompanied by an ample about of dressing. Highly recommended and will stop by again if in the area. read more

Extremely disappointing experience, considering they seem relatively new enough to be passing around flyers to local businesses and yet can't be bothered to stock good ingredients. Diverse menu; one can only hope that they will make their sales off the sub sandwiches and appetizers that we did not try. Antipasta salad was incredibly boring. A large was a gigantic portion, which I appreciate for the price, but it was all iceberg lettuce with a few strands of red cabbage and carrot-- appearance much like a generic storebought salad. Five olives and a bit of tomato, some banana peppers, and attractively presented cuts of deli meat... without the advertised mozzarella. I like provolone, but if your menu description says something you better live up to it. Wing flavoring options were pretty limited; coworker had extra hot, and I sampled the spicy honey barbeque and jamaican jerk. The least of our worries, but nothing mindblowing. Close to my house so I stop in often and they also deliver. Everything is fresh! Best salads, best steak and cheese, and absolutely the best spaghetti with meat sauce. I just moved down the road, and found this hidden restaurant close to my gym. Excellent quality ingredients in my opinion. The turkey for the sub is fresh, tastes like it's supposed to. Veggies are good, crisp, and fresh. The Sub buns are a little much, but that's fine. The chicken souvlaki sandwich is also delicious. I get a side of the cucumber sauce with it. Again, chicken is flavorful, seasoned well, and tastes fresh. (Like not frozen meat that's been sitting out) Always quick, but I usually order in the evening. It was near my hotel and people seemed to like it so I thought I'd give it a try! The pizza was great, the salad was fresh and delicious and in addition to that the customer service was outstanding. I was the typical out of towner, lost and needing guidance as to where to find the local shopping plaza and the girl behind the counter (wish I had gotten her name), jumped right in and helped me determine where to go! She also (when packing my to-go order), must have decided that she was going to make my night, because she included 2 cookies in my order which were an unexpected, but welcome surprise! Thanks to Yelp I found this place when I was in the area, because I wouldn't have ever known you had to take two back streets from the main drag to get there. When I just started hearing a general description of the place, I thought it'd more of a typical greasy spoon joint. Don't get me wrong, it is, but there ain't nothin' wrong with a little grease from time to time! Romano's does pizzas, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, and can fry up just about anything you may need in your life. My first try was a cheese steak and some fried zucchini. Everything came out fresh to order and tasted fine. I even took half of my sandwich with me for a snack later on, and the bread still held up to the goop that was loaded in it and still had a nice, crusty bite to it. Others around had similar selections, though a group of guys were chowing down on some sort of chicken salad, so I'll have to try that at some point. This place is definitely kept together by word-of-mouth advertising and the fact that it's located next to several small businesses and warehouses. It's about as nondescript as you can get from the front, and the only way to find out what food selections you have available is by grabbing one of the to-go menus. There are definitely some things lacking here, but when you're just looking for a place for a quick bite, look no further. read more
