Ordered 2 pizzas and the 72hr wings for dinner $70 with tip for a 6pm pickup time. Picked it up just before 6 and the boxes werent even warm, wonder how long they were sitting there. Ordered the GWB and Everything but the Kitchen Sink XL pizzas, and the $9 order for 5 bone-in wings all well done or extra crispy. 1 of the wings was still red in the middle, and the pizzas were no means "well-done". The kitchen sink pizza was missing spinach, and for some reason errant fries ended up with our wings...so there must have just been a pile of extraneous fried food and they scooped our 5 wings into a container. This was the first time ordering their food, and will very likely be the last. We think their pizza is great. Normally get the Pigs Fly. They do not skimp on toppings. Very good crust. Wings are also really good. The only minus is the ranch seems ever so slightly off sometimes. But overall, great. A solid choice for a pie. read more

Pros: 1. Food ordered tasted fine. 2. Didn't wait too long (3-5 minutes) after estimated time of pick up. Cons: 1. Didn't want to build a pizza because it cost $2 for each topping. Add it up and it cost more than the already built pizzas listed. 2. I didn't get everything I requested on the cheesesteak, it was missing lettuce and tomatoes. 3. When Rai's first came on the radar with their Facebook fame, their large Philly cheesesteak would be a challenge for me and my wife to finish together. The roll was soft and flavorful and the meat and toppings could barely be contained. Tonight when we ordered a large, it was on a roll barely 9 inches long, and looked like a regular sub roll I could buy at Giant. The meat looked like the equivalent of 2 ice cream scoops. After we finished we had to find something else to eat because we were still hungry, even after finishing the fries that came with it. Lots of toppings from plant based proteins and beef pepperoni options. You can create your own pie or choose one of their combinations. Yum yum yum! If you're in the mood to eat right there, you can sit at small seating area or go next door to the pour house and watch TV on one of their many televisions and chat with the awesome wait staff. I drove 40 minutes to try this place, and I wish I didn't, because I became obsessed with this place. I've been to philly and tried their sandwiches, and this place is by far better than the cheesesteaks at philly! I hate to admit how frequently I now drive 40 minutes (each way) to grab these cheesesteaks. I always had a great experience and it's always been worth the drive. Only tip I would add is order online if you have the chance, when we ordered in person for the first time it took forever to get our order. I saw a few Facebook reviews that some people had the same experience with long wait times. Great crust, crispy, foldable "NYers know that's a must", good chew to it, the sauce is delicious great tomato flavor, and the cheese is good, not oily! Honestly, I was a little hesitant in trying out Rai's Pizza, but so glad that I did! The hubs found this place to offer NY-style pizza, as well as being known for their cheesesteaks. We decided to check them out on a weekend for an early lunch. We ordered: +a slice of the O.G. - cheese pizza with red sauce and mozzarella cheese +a Cheesesteak - with shaved ribeye, onions, and opted for both the Whiz and the provolone with mayo The cheese slice had a nice thin crust, and it was super cheesy! The cheesesteak was juicy and generously filled with tender shaved ribeye; loved that they didn't skimp out on the Whiz! The bread could have been better, but I think that's more of a preference. We were also fortunate to arrive when they were just getting a new cheese pie out of the oven - yay! I'd love to try out different toppings and possibly their daily specials, like the chicken parm sub. Staff were friendly and welcoming! I ordered online through the Rais app, a pizza, pasta, and a chicken cheesesteak, adding mayo and peppers. On their app it does not state that the chicken Philly (and you can only order the small option for some reason) comes with lettuce and tomatoes. There's also no way to select or deselect Lettuce and tomatoes. When I got my food, it was with lettuce and tomatoes, which is not part of the item description, nor on the receipt that I have that shows I only ordered mayo and peppers. I sent a complaint through their app and received a call back from, I guess someone named Basil, who Agreed to refund the cost of my chicken cheesesteak, but in the same conversation, blame me as a customer for selecting lettuce and tomatoes. I sent him a screenshot of what I, as a customer, sees and lettuce and tomatoes are not listed. He sent me what he sees as the owner or an employee which automatically has lettuce and tomatoes listed. He did not understand me explaining to him that there's an issue with the system or his app. I, myself am a restaurant manager. Instead of just refunding and apologizing, he refunded, but did not apologize and also blamed me for entering and lettuce tomatoes on my sandwich which I did not do. I already informed him during my conversation that I really didn't want the refund and that I was just cool with not patronizing his store anymore based upon the conversation I had with him. I will not go to any of the locations. They have expanded and they have Downgraded in quality as much as they expanded their business. They should've stopped at the one location and the pour house but they expanded and the quality has deteriorated. Rai's pizza Ashburn needs a new makeover in customer service and food service. I've gone here plenty of times when they opened and it has gone downhill. I hope management sees this so they can act. They have two workers managing orders and it's a terrible system. The cook who made our food looked like a kid and did not even know how to add cheese whiz to my cheesesteak. Rai's is okay. Not bad, not great, just okay. I always do takeout and the pizza is always soggy by the time I get home -- which isn't that far. I never have that problem with the other pizza places I get takeout from. Maybe it would be better if I ate in, but the decor/ambiance isn't anything to write home about, so there's nothing I want to stay for. The pizza tastes okay, but soggy crust is a big turnoff for me. The service is spotty at best. You often have to wait way too long to place a takeout order, even when the place is relatively empty. I also think it's a bit pricey for what's in the box. There are other places near my home I'd rather spend my money. read more

He's been here before and was referred by another coworker to this place then he introduced it to me. I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. They even had my favorite drink here. (Dr.Brown CREAM SODA) yum yum yum! Made my day to have great food and fantastic soda pop. What a great place to eat at. When we came they had some construction going on. I think they were remodeling and expanding the restaurant. I think since the food is fantastic the place is getting bigger due to how many people love it. After having seen mostly good reviews of Rai's Pizza for pizza and subs we drove 30+ minutes tonight to get 2 steak and cheese subs (one for my husband and one for my son) and I ordered their white pizza . My husband, I believe will be posting about his sub also. All I can say is that I was sorely disappointed with the pizza. The crust wasn't bad but the pizza had no flavor and barely any cheese. I didn't see any evidence or taste any garlic or oregano. And there was barely any cheese on the pizza. See menu for the pizza description, then a slice of the pizza, (this was typical of every slice-- the cheese that was on the pizza was a minimum of 3 inches inside of the crust. This was from a large. ) We spent 65$ plus tip on our carry out order. Definitely NOT worth the drive or money; the frozen white pizza from the grocery store has more flavor. Everything was ready so I didn't have to wait around for it. We tried the cheesesteak, pizza egg rolls, and xangos. The cheesesteak was HUGE. We split 1 and it was very meaty. I know the lettuce looks unappealing but that's on me, I added the optional lettuce! The cheese whiz is definitely the way to go. The pizza egg rolls were really good, it comes with 2 large egg rolls along with marinara sauce. The xangos was okay, it tasted like just straight up cream cheese in an egg roll. I wish there was caramel or something along with it. The menu says it comes with chocolate chips but we didn't have any in ours. Came in around 4 pm during a weekday ordered two cheesesteaks and a 14 inch pizza. Wait time was only about 20 minutes, pretty average. The front staff was very kind and pleasant despite being busy. We decided to get two different kinds of cheesesteaks for a real taste test. cheesesteak 1 - we went for a more "philly" style no toppings besides cheese wiz, onions, and mushrooms. To my surprise the actual meat was seasoned and flavorful. The wiz was wowwwww amazing. The sub is pretty huge so the price didn't bother me much. It can definitely feed two people. The bread held up pretty well but I still needed a fork at the end because there is so much meat WHICH is not a bad thing. cheesesteak 2 - for this one we went all in. Onion, mushrooms, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and provolone cheese. Verdict? The same, AMAZING! Meat seasoned but not overpowered by the toppings. They did not skimp on the toppings it was the perfect amount for the size of the sub. This one I def needed a fork and yet the bread still did well lol. I do wish the tomatoes were stuffed in the sand which in stead of just on top so they wouldn't slip out when you bite. Pizza - we just wanted to try the pizza so we didn't get anything fancy. I don't know why I just discovered this place, since I'm not too far from here. But kudos to an amazing nurse Becca who trained a new nurse (me) many moons ago at the hospital and helped me discover some of the great culinary gems of NOVA. She gave it a two thumbs up so I knew I had to give this a go, since she hasn't steered me wrong. Oh my gosh the cheesteak with whiz, was a nice surprise since its not common here. The cheesesteaks are huge so unless you're really hungry or a growing teenager I'd recommending sharing. So tasty and they piled on the meat! A bit pricer than your average place but this place isn't average and their portions aren't average either. We also ordered a pizza which was excellent!! The waits can be a bit long especially during the weekend which is when we've been here but so worth it!! We've been back a few times it was that good!! Tried a 14" pizza with red sauce and sausage. Ordered on the phone and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. The crust was perfect. Well-done, the way they do it in Brooklyn. It had its own flavor, which a good crust should have. The tomato sauce was tasty. Not too acidic or sweet. The sausage was also extremely tasty and not dried out. I could tell the mozzarella cheese was quality because it was not oily after cooking. It didn't have much flavor, though. I like the cheese to have its own distinguishable taste.
