Garlic Knots
Devon M.

TLDR: Really a 3.5 for me with pizza that reminds me of a Costco slice, solid buffalo wings, and average garlic knots. But apparently the lunch combo is just cheese pizza despite the ad not specifying that. Felt pretty lied to and disappointed. My wife and I had been seeing the lunch deal advertised here for a while. We finally decided to go the other day. We found out upon ordering that the lunch combo of 2 slices and a drink only includes cheese pizza despite the ads never mentioning that. We ended just getting 2 slices of flavors we actually wanted to try. We also ordered buffalo wings and garlic knots. The pizza was comparable to that of the pizza you'd get from Costco. It was very cheese forward and didn't have any sauce taste. Not that that's bad, but it's not enough to make me come back consistently. The wings were good and the spicy buffalo had a good kick to it. The garlic knots were average to me. Nothing to write home about. The service was fairly quick considering we ordered wings that had to be made fresh. Was only about 10 mins when we walked in. The restaurant has the pizzas available for slices on the display racks as you walk in. There's a little bit of seating inside if you want to eat there.

Not the best not the worst. Just one of those spots I wouldn't go out of my way to go to, but the food didn't suck. We ordered: The garlic knots 6/10 Pepperoni & sausage 6/10 Garlic, cheese, and Vegetable 6/10 Buffalo wings 6/10 Casual spot with minimal seating. It's more of a carryout spot. The service was only alright.

Ordered pickup from this place on a Friday afternoon. It was very quiet and there was plenty of seating. The food was great. The bread on the turkey provolone sub was soft, the turkey was slightly smoky and tasted very good, honestly every single ingredient felt very fresh and perfectly proportioned - just the right amount of mayo, lettuce, etc. The fries were very crispy as well. I wish the prices were a bit lower, but I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

I ordered a hand tossed cheese pizza and half pepperoni. The crust was paper thin and overcooked. It seemed like the dough was previously frozen. I won't be back.

Philly cheesesteak

Not sure how they can even justify calling the a philly cheesesteak...we ordered the large and there wasn't even enough meat or cheese to fill a small sub...more lettuce than anything...not sure I've ever seen lettuce on a philly cheesesteak...$15 for nothing. Meatball sub was ok.

Onion Rings

Deli Italiano has some of the friendliest service with fast turnaround times. The store is spanking clean inside with lots to choose from. There are plenty of free parking outside. Their pizzas aren't our favorite but their onion rings are amazing. I don't know what they put in their batter mix but it's incredible. We actually order their sides more often than their mains. The garlic cheesy bread is also awesome. Drooling just thinking about it again! Can't wait for my next meal a la beagle style.

Garlic Knots

Came here with the kids and and my picky daughter scarfed down the pizza. I had baked ziti and it was a good size and tasty. We ordered the garlic knots and they were fluffy and had a nice garlic sauce over it. Not too overpowering and was served with a side of marinara sauce. It was good choice for a quick dinner.

I can't speak to the ambience or restaurant service because I ordered takeout, but I can speak to the pizza and the Greek salad. Starting with the Greek salad - it was EXCELLENT. Literally my ideal/perfect Greek salad. It had tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta (the four essential Greek salad ingredients), but I loved the addition of the lettuce and banana peppers for a little more texture and flavor. I would go there for the salad again lol. I raved about it A LOT. The dressing was nice as well. Now, as for the pizza... I got the hand tossed supreme Italiano, which was OK. The crust wasn't flavorful (needs more salt at least) and the texture wasn't right. There was too much cheese and toppings, so the pizza didn't crisp up in the middle. If you're doing a thicker hand-tossed crust, you should really cook down the toppings to reduce the moisture levels. The cheese wasn't good either. The mozzarella tasted like a cheese stick (and frankly had a similar chewy texture). I see a lot of good reviews for the pizza here, so I'm willing to try again. I will probably go for the thin crust next time though. I hate to be so critical of the pizza, but that is the point of a review, and I think my reasons are valid lol

I'm a big sandwich fan and generally make them at home because most shops don't add enough meet or toppings. I think I found my new sandwich shop. Checked out the menu and had to decide between the roast pork and broccolini or panko breaded fried chicken sandwich. Both sounded good, but after I found out the roast pork shoulder is made in house, the decision became really easy. My friends ordered the fried chicken with double chicken ($4.00 upgrade). The staff were very friendly and efficient. It was close to closing but everyone was super nice. They called us to pick up our orders and I was somewhat surprised by the feel of my sandwich. It has some heft to it. I sat down, opened it, and you can see what I had in the photo. Good bread can make or break a sandwich. My sandwich roll was slightly toasted with a good crunch and the inner part was nice and chewy. The sandwich had the perfect ratio of pork and broccolini and was covered in melted cheese and had a mayo/mustardy sauce. There was also just a touch of what tasted like crushed red pepper which just set the sandwich off. I was thinking Reading Terminal Market level of good. My buddies chicken sandwich was ridiculous. Two fried chicken breasts with all the toppings on a nice roll. It was tasty. This place is a real deal sandwich shop. The have the standard sodas and also have Dr. Brown's, Perrier water, San Pellegrino, draft beer, and other beers and seltzer drinks in cans. The chips are the Dirty and Route 11 chips. It's like they selected the best things to go with their sandwiches. Location is a little tricky to find and parking is tight, but it's totally worth the trip. I will definitely be back, but probably get everything to go. If you want a really good sandwich that is stuffed with filling for a fair price, you need to come here and try it out. You won't be disappointed!

Was visiting former neighbors who now live out in Reston and they recommended this shop which has been open since May 2025 to long lines and enthusiastic crowds. This is the second location of De Clieu coffee, with the first being in Old Towne Fairfax https://www.yelp.com/biz/de-clieu-fairfax-fairfax?osq=De+Clieu+-+Fairfax. The first thing visitors to the Reston outpost will notice is the extremely small parking lot...and not only that, the parking spots are very narrow. I heeded my friends' advice and parked on the street to avoid dings to my door panel. I agree with their assessment that this place is "quaint and cozy." There is an outdoor patio with a few tables/chairs for al fresco dining. I really like the interior design aesthetic. The color palette leans towards darker browns with shades of blonde hardwood which contrasts with all of the natural lighting from the ample windows. I didn't order anything fancy since when I try a new coffeeshop, I want to taste their "regular" house drip coffee. I like that there is an option for the "light" or "dark" roast, and I definitely needed a hit of the strong stuff to wake up. And you know what? The dark roast packed a deep, rich, strong yet flavorful punch without being overly bitter. I added a few splashes of 1/2+1/2 from the well-stocked condiment bar and my morning cup of java was perfect. My friends ordered lattes (both espresso and Matcha Green tea), while their kids enjoyed steaming hot cups of hot chocolate. We had a lovely time catching up on life as their kids entertained themselves playing Roblox on their iPads. I will say that due to the high ceilings, this place can get LOUD. The roughly 90 minutes that I was there, the place was completely packed with customers with take-out orders as well as staying in to enjoy beverages and food. I didn't order any food, but the sandwiches and pastries in the display case did appear fresh and were quite popular. Having not been to their Fairfax location, I'm more inclined to do so as I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at De Clieu- Reston.

We chose to do the pistachella and the bounty.  They both featured Nutella and if that wasn't enough, one added crushed pistachios and the other coconut flakes.  They were very tasty but very rich and between the two of us, we had to admit defeat before finishing them both.  Happily, there are to go boxes to bring home any remainders.  The space is very clean and there are tables and lots of napkins (which you will need because these treats are both awesome and very messy).  The staff was very friendly and the parking is easy in the lot out front.  We will have to come back again to try some of the savory options to definitely be followed up by another dessert one. MMMMMM

Grant Street, it turns out, is disjointed. In other words, it's not like it's just a straight shot from one end to the other. We stopped in here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place closes at 6 p.m., and are closed on Sunday. At that time of day, they weren't at all busy. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.

We got them with oil and vinegar and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. The second time we ordered 2 subs using Doordash. These subs came with the default toppings which are mayonnaise, onions and hot peppers. We both agreed that we prefer them with just the oil and vinegar plus salt and pepper. These subs are the best we've had. The bread is soft and fresh plus the family who owns the place knows how to assemble a sub so that everything is packed in well, thus making it easier to eat. All the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The family who runs it is very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised when we went there recently, since we were in the area, and decided to buy 2 subs to go, that the lady who waited on us when we first went there, remembered us! The one drawback---They are located in an office park. Thus their business hours correspond to regular work hours. On Thursday and Friday, they do stay open until 6 p.m. They are closed on the weekends. So...basically, it's a hidden gem. If you like subs, it's worth a visit or an order on Doordash.
