Apparently it's popular, so you either need to go early or luck out. The cream puffs and cookies are great, but I finally got a kouign amann. It's a lovely pastry. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

Mangoes were OK not very sweet and Vanilla ice cream was good but you can't go wrong with that if it's store-bought. Overall would give this a 5/10 maybe 4.5/10. You order on the kiosk or at the counter. We ended up waiting like 15 minutes for our cookies since they baked them, but they got our order wrong and got us the right one for free. The cookies, in general, were both burnt but also underbaked. Also, we didn't get them in the moltn brand cardboard boxes, but in styrofoam boxes instead. The peanut butter cookie had a good flavor, but the red velvet and s'mores were average. I probably would only try this once if you're craving a big cookie with a unique flavor if it's the only place open in the area.

They walked us through how to properly whisk our own matcha and let us practice the technique ourselves. On top of that, we got to sample a variety of their teas throughout the class. The owner clearly knows their craft. Their in-store matcha has actually won awards, and you can taste the quality difference. Our host, Cody, was incredible and super knowledgeable about all things tea. He guided us through everything from the origins of matcha to how to make it ourselves at home. It was especially helpful to watch him make the drinks and see the proper technique for whisking matcha and what temperature water we should be using when making our own, etc. For the tasting itself, he made us 4 different matcha drinks - all of which were soo good!! It changed my perception on what good matcha drinks can taste like and I think has increased my standards (for better or for worse lol). If you love matcha, interested in learning more about it and want to try some different matcha drinks not offered anywhere else, I highly highly recommend the Matcha Lab.

But not what I wanted at the moment, so pass. But there were plenty of small dishes so went with the pork buns. Those things were small but packed with flavor. The bartender suggested a fork and knife were appropriate since it was so delicate and he was right. But the cocktails!!! Dessert goodness in a glass. I went for the mustachio which was packed with chocolate goodness. Darn that was amazing. Extra props for the great service and suggestions. The lady next to me suggested I try their cocktail class sometime.
