Coffee on top, kulfi on bottom - forgot to take pics until we've had a few spoonfuls

BLUF: staff are super nice, ice cream flavors are great, and seating area was clean. Details: Staff were very nice about offering up samples and I tried the kulfi after hearing a description of it (it was delicious - highly recommend). I got a single scoop of the kulfi and husband got a scoop of kulfi and a scoop of coffee. The store is in a little shopping area with plenty of parking and is brightly lit. They're a little far from where we live but we decided to give them a try when we were in the area after having first tried their ice cream at a farmer's market.

The passionfruit ice cream here is superb! I also really enjoyed the guava sorbet. I would recommend the combination if you are in the mood for something sweet and tart. The ice cream is made in-house and you can watch them make it. There is plenty of seating and the area is very clean. I will definitely plan to be back soon as it was the best passionfruit/guave ice cream that I've ever had!

The first thing that caught my eye when I first walked in is how vibrant and bright the ice cream shop was. It felt very welcoming and inviting staff was very nice and explained their special flavors very well. I got the exotic sorbet which has a slight flavor of pineapple as well as mango, which was very refreshing..

Author's Ice Creams & Coffee 44933 George Washington Blvd Suite 150, Ashburn, VA 20147 Very clean and well managed ice cream and coffee shop in Ashburn, VA. This shop full of diverse employees and patrons is a great place to go get a cold sweet treat with the fam. They have a freezer filled with pints of their ice creams and sorbets. Different flavors what seems like every day or at least every time we make our way there. If you're looking for something different than your typical chains make sure to drop by and you might even be able to see them making some ice cream through the glass at the back of the dining room. The inside is open and light which makes it feel very inviting as well as having a couple of spots to eat outside IG & TikTok: @bmh_reviewer

We had some really delicious ice cream from Authors Ice Cream and Coffee! Tucked away in the back of a shopping center, Authors sits eagerly awaiting ice cream fans of all ages. They have pints, homemade cones, milkshakes, specialty coffee beverages, and various toppings for your ice cream. I opted for a double scoop of chocolate and cookies and cream. The hubs got a cookies and cream milkshakes. They were great, but were they great enough to spend $16 for both, me thinks not! The shop is cute, they have ample seating for customers and the customer service was awesome. I just think they're too darn expensive. Oh well, I guess you pay for quality and the ice cream is really great quality.

This is a good little ice cream spot. I personally thought the ice cream was really good. My girlfriend liked her mango and cookies and cream mix. The real star of the show in my opinion was the donut sandwich. It's a house made donut that's warmed up and then a scoop of ice cream is put in between. Mine also had chocolate syrup and chocolate chips on it. Absolutely loved it. Would definitely order it again. The service was quick and friendly. And the ambiance was very pastel and modern inside.

We were looking for a good Hot Fudge sundae. This place had 4.5 stars. We tried a couple samples and they were very good. We then ordered two hot fudge sundaes and a coffee. They don't have hot fudge, just chocolate syrup. He gave us a few drops of two tiny scoops of ice cream with ice crystals. They put them in regular cups and put a plastic cup on top. We had to turn them over to avoid them dripping all over our hands. I ordered nuts, and paid for them, but did not get any because they were out of them. This was our first, AND LAST visit. What a terrible experience!!!

This has been on our list of places to check out that's new and glad we did! We have been wanting to try new places. It's so cute and clean inside! I tried the mocha almond and cardamom, rose, pistachio both were unique and delicious if I was able to get both I would have!! Looking forward to going back and grabbing a coffee as well, the selection looked so good!

Author's Ice Cream has opened up their brick and mortar location in Ashburn! I got invited to Author's grand opening, and I wanted to try their small batch ice cream, donut paninis, and coffee. Food/Drinks: I tried a variety of menu items: *Sea salt caramel [waffle cone] *Strawberry [waffle cone] *The Original [donut panini] *Caramel latte The small batch ice cream was delicious and there were a variety of dairy and non dairy flavors. Many options are made without an egg base (although there are at least a couple that have add-ins, which do contain egg.) The ice cream was sweet and creamy. The donut panini consisted of cookies and cream ice cream, fruity pebbles, and chocolate drizzle stuffed between a donut. The donut wasn't overly sweet, so you won't get overwhelmed with sugar. But eat it before it melts! The Vibe: The interior is brightly lit and filled with lots of colors. There are plenty of places to sit inside to enjoy your ice cream. Parking/Location: This location is tucked away in an office plaza right off George Washington Blvd in Ashburn. There's plenty of parking. This is a wonderful new addition to Ashburn. It'll be perfect for enjoying a scoop of ice cream whenever, but especially on a hot summer day!

Tried Authors at the mosaic fall fest this weekend and I absolutely loved it! We got cookies and cream in a cone and their donut panini with cookies and cream, chocolate sauce and coco pebbles. Cookies and cream was delicious! The ice cream itself had that Oreo creme flavor and the pieces mixed in made it even better. The donut panini was really good too and I loved the added crunch the coco pebbles added. Hopefully we can make a trip to their storefront in Ashburn to try even move flavors soon!

There were balloons and lots of families enjoying the great green area out front and lots of amazing cupcakes (and cookies and ice cream) to try inside. YUM! We chose the mocha chocolate oreo, the toasted s'mores, the caramel brownie cheesecake and the pumpkin pie-ception. Each one was very tasty and had a great texture. Our favorite, surprisingly for chocoholics - was the pumpkin pie one. It had so much flavor and was not at all too sweet. Most of the cupcakes had clever mini dessert decorations on top whether it be a tiny slice of pie, brownie or marshmallow which added to the fun. They also have special decorations for the holidays. The space itself is very bright and cheery and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. There are tables outside on the mini green and plenty of nearby parking. It's not easy to find. Their address is on Southbank Street, but it can be easy to miss it as it is behind Robek's. We were here on a Sunday around 5 p.m. The first thing I noticed was that they didn't have very many items left. The young man who was behind the counter was friendly and patient. I decided to order two lemon cupcakes and two birthday cupcakes. There were only two birthday cupcakes left, so I guess I timed it right. Four cupcakes ended up costing $18, which seems to be on the expensive side. As for the cupcakes, the lemon ones were for my husband. He thought the lemon flavoring could have been more prominent. We also noticed that the cupcakes were on the oily side. On the plus side, the cake part was very light in texture. This place is basically a take out set up, as it is small. We're not sure if we would return. If we did return, it would be for a meal in the area.

If a place consistently delivers tasty food, solid execution, and keeps you wanting to come back, that earns a top rating from me. Ted's Bulletin absolutely does that. We have been to the One Loudoun location several times for breakfast, and it is consistently a great experience. That kind of consistency matters, especially for breakfast service where some places can be hit or miss. One of our favorites has been the huevos rancheros. They serve it on tostadas, which gives the dish a great crispy base and a really satisfying texture. It is flavorful, hearty, and always hits the spot. We have also had their homemade tater tots, and they are excellent. Nicely fried, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and clearly done with care rather than feeling like an afterthought side dish. Their French toast is another strong option and always enjoyable. If you are in the mood for something sweeter, it is a very solid choice. We have also tried the breakfast cinnamon roll. It is definitely generous in size. It is decent and worth trying, but it can be a lot, which is probably why we only order it occasionally. For the kids, the hot chocolate is always a favorite and something they genuinely look forward to each visit. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy.
