I had an issue with a gift card I received for the holidays... long story short I called customer service and they advised me to come into my nearest Zara store and they would help me further. I explained my situation to the cashier and her and her manager were more than understanding and helpful. I got my issue resolved and i was in and out in 5 minutes. The manager that helped, Josh I believe I heard his name was, knew right away what to do and how to solve this issue. To me, that is quality customer service. He is the reason for this 5 star review today! read more

From LA and been to Zara many times, but this location csc really need to check themselves! After changed and this girl told me next time bring the hanger out, when there is no hanger tho. Attitude!!!! You want me to do your job ? Why the fuck are you hired for ! Don't ruin other people day just because you hate your job. read more

Unlike the Old Orchard location, this new Zara store has fantastic staff. I was on the hunt for summer dresses. I found a fantastic store associate and showed him a dress that I liked. He then went around the whole store and brought me several other dresses that I might like. I finally found one that was a winner. Everyone was super friendly, including the cashier. I will be back. One last thing: their clothes run big. read more

Zara is an establishment that does not stand by their product. I bought a pair of dress shoes and brought them home to try on and within 15 steps, the right shoe completely wrinkled. Not crease, Wrinkle! I brought them back for an exchange thinking it was defect in the shoe but was denied by their manager b/c they were 'worn'. Duh, they're worn, how else would it wrinkle? I take full blame for buying a cheaply made shoe but com'on stand by your product and at least exchange the defect. read more

Looks like the battle between Mich. Ave. vs. State Street shopping continues, if previous reviews are any indication. I prefer this location of Zara to the one on Michigan Avenue, as the layout is a bit more manageable and the first-floor space is better organized. Since fewer tourists venture to Block 37, it seems like this store usually stays cleaner, and the sales and accessories selections do not get picked over so quickly. I have heard good things about Zara's denim; sadly, the pair of distressed skinny jeans that I tried on did not live up to the hype. From the pictures on Zara's web site, I was led to believe that they would stand in for a pricier version at J. Crew that I was eyeing--this was not the case. Tops are a bit better quality, and the prices are usually right, so my degree of buyer's remorse if they don't work out after a season isn't as high. I have tried on several pairs of shoes from here, but so far have held off on buying anything after being bitten by Ann Taylor and BR (*cardboard*). Last season I spotted a pair of repetto-inspired ballets that might have worked, but at the time I was looking for something closer to the performance end of the spectrum (versus purely decorative). read more

While I agree that Zara does carry some great trendy pieces, I don't really understand why the items are priced so high. I feel like I could go to H&M and buy the same thing for half the cost...and they're the same quality. I was in there for a good 15 or 20 minutes yesterday, and while I did see a few sales associates around, no one ever came up to see if my friend and I needed help. They just seemed to be walking around. Needless to say, I left empty-handed...again. read more

Zara at St State possesses a great selection, a little bit crowded during discount seasons. Customer service is good and professional in a not so over-the-top manner considering the chain uses European "cult" instead of the States' highly interactive customer service. Overall good experience, after all the top priority is to shop instead of to talk with the clerks. read more

DON'T SHOP @Zara. Customer service is horrible and they are racist! I ordered a $39 blouse in March that was delivered to the store. Because of the pandemic and the store being closed until July, I didn't pick up my item until July 30th. When I picked up my blouse it was too small so I asked to return it. I was told I was past the return policy deadline and they wouldn't be able to accept the return, so I went home and called their customer service line and explained the issue. They sent me an email with a Case ID # to show the clerk so that I wouldn't have a problem with the return. When I got to the store, I watched a caucasian lady return an item after she was told she was past the return policy deadline, BUT they would make an exception. When I showed the clerk my email with the ID# she said she would need to get a manager. Yolanda, the caucasian manager asked me about the email and said "Zara would never send an email. They would just give you the number over the phone". She refused to accept my return! I am now at home seething, because it is Sunday afternoon and I have to wait until tomorrow to call Zara to start this process over again . . . will NEVER shop there again. #ZARAFAIL read more

This Zara has a small women section.. not a lot to offer. I like the one on Michigan Ave better.

My partner and friends went into Zara, and like others have expressed. Not very helpful. Ask for help and they pointed me in one direction or to someone else. Very disappointing since they have nice clothes read more

Location has a security guard that has verbally and physically sexual harassed me. When I reported it they claimed to handle the issue. I started going back and the same person was there. I reported it again and instead of fixing it they told me I knew the creep! To make matters worse I started ordering from online and didn't receive my order. Marlon from corporate told me he couldn't research the sexual harassment and shipping issues anymore because I knew the security guard who sexually harassed me. Which I don't know the person that sexually harassed me.I've never heard of such disgusting behavior read more

Came here a few weeks ago to exchange pair of jeans I bought online for a smaller size. Coincidentally, their "exchange system wasn't working properly," so the cashier suggested we do an "internet return" which would refund me within a few days for the original pair of jeans that I wanted to exchange, and that I would have to insert my card and pay in order to purchase the exchange pair. To no surprise at all, however, I was never refunded. I waited 2 weeks, then called customer service a week ago and asked what happened to my refund. I was informed it would be posted to my account within 4 days. Well, I waited 4 days and guess what, no refund!!! So I called customer service AGAIN about the refund, and this time I was told that the refund was already issued, and they didn't see that I paid for the exchanged pair of jeans, so they didn't see any need to refund me. They asked me to provide pictures of my entire bank statement to show I didn't get the refund. Such a joke!! I called my bank and had them open an investigation with Zara and within 24 hours I got an email from Zara saying I would be receiving a refund. Glad my bank knows how to do their job. Zara's "customer service" was absolutely appalling and without a doubt the worst I've ever experienced. This company should be ashamed of the way it treats its customers, and I'm honestly surprised they're still in business after all of the horrible reviews/comments I've seen. I used to shop at Zara often, but now I will never be shopping at Zara again. read more

This store is super big and a bit impersonal, but what can you expect for Zara? They had a great selection of new stuff. It was a mid-season sale when I was there, and there wasn't a big sale selection. It's in a hidden mall/restaurant place, so might be easy to miss. In the heart of Downtown Chicago. The upstairs fitting rooms were closed. So I found that a bit annoying. And typical Zara, the cashiers were in a world of their own chatting among themselves. The fitting room girls were very helpful, though. I had a long day at the museum and just popped in on my way home. But in my next visit to Chicago will give this Zara a special trip. read more

Katie, the manager of the store was fabulous. The clothes all looked so great and so visually appealing. I can tell by the employees that she's a great leader. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and it's so refreshing as a consumer to shop in a place with no tension (like you feel at a store like Macy's). Katie was so friendly, personable and helpful and I'll definitely be returning to Zara at Block 37. read more

I just left Zara. I was disturbed by the employees' nasty attitudes, so I hopped on Yelp to see if others had had similar experiences. Sure enough - lots of negative comments. I want to remind those young girls that they are not better than others. I want to remind them that they are indeed working retail for a mass produced product line. This does not qualify any of them for being "holier than thou". The manager who asked me how I'd washed the item I was returning needed a makeup application lesson. I never saw one employee smile while I was there, though I did see several look down their noses at me. read more

Fashion forward clothing at affordable prices. Quality is horrible on most items. Service and overall Zara policies are atrocious. Employees have a chip on their shoulder; zara does not believe in customer service and their policies are made to screw the customer. The customer pretty much gets stuck with a defected item. They don't even accept exchanges for a different item even with a receipt. Absolutely horrible! Find somewhere else to shop. read more

I really enjoyed my shopping trip at the store today! I received great customer service! Andreus really made my day at the store! Keep it up team Zara! read more

I gave it four stars mainly because the styles are unique. The buyers did a pretty good job selecting garments that flatters most shapes. The store has a Boutique feel with a just above tH&M price point. Never had a problem with the staff. I'm a friendly person so people tend to act in kind, or it could be I'm very forgiving. I really encourage shopping in the stores as opposed to online, as sizes are sometime hit and miss. Overall, I love Zara! read more

I came here during a clearance sale just a few weeks ago and boy did I hit the jackpot! Sweater, Dress, Scarf wrap for about $40 total - woo hoo! The store was a bit disheveled due to the sale but it was clean and the fitting rooms were big enough. I will be back here for sales, but their regular prices are just a bit too high for me compared to the quality to come here on the regular, so 3 stars! read more

Their is priced compared to the quality. Sometimes the staff are a little offstandish, but I don't really want to be bothered when I am looking for clothing anyways. read more

I have been unable to reach a regional manager to issue a complaint about an employee that works here name Jasmine. She was obviously not in the mood to do her job and when I asked for a dressing room, I later overheard her say to another coworker "I should slap her a**". I was stunned that she said it so casually and once I left the dressing room, i immediately asked for a manager. They said one wasn't on duty and so I asked for the regional manager's information. They didn't have that either. I plan to exhaust every option until I can reach someone to issue a complaint against Jasmine for her gross unprofessionalism. read more

I love Zara, but this location has some serious customer service issues. The one on N. Michigan Ave has better options and service.

The ladies that work here are wonderful! They really know their customer service and it was an easy exchange process. Great job Mimi!

I expected the selection to be a little bigger but overall had some good stuff to check out and was very organized.

Buy the clothes online and SKIP the store. Every Zara is the same. 6 ppl behind the register....one person on a register!!! Why can't y'all figure out staffing??? read more

I purchased a pair of pants on the 24th of January and noticed a few discrepancies within the pants and went to take them back. They claimed I wore them and that they couldn't take them back. I tried them on and the pleats within the pants popped, I told them this and it's still considered "worn". I am a manager of a retail shop as well and I know that returning clientele is important, the manager was extremely rude about the situation and walked away, so therefore I will be ordering online from now on. I know there I will receive the customer service I deserve. read more

Wow! I love Zara's clothes. However, the customer service here is HORRIBLE. You can tell the workers pretty much don't want to be there for whatever reason. I witnessed what I believe to be a manager literally yell at one of the workers on the sales floor. Maybe this has to do with the sadness of the place. I will no longer be shopping at this specific Zara. I hope this store fixes its problemS. read more

I bought an item online for in store pick up at block 37. Two weeks later I went to go pick up my item. Retrieved it and tried it on fairly quickly, noticed there was a huge rip in the shirt, and got in line to return. There was two people in line, me and the person being helped, and after 20 minutes of chumming it up with the customer, the woman at the register yelled to me to go to the kids section to get my return done, since she said there was no line at the mens or kids section. I immediately walk with my box and wrapping and item all the way to the kids section, to see three people in line. I go back to the womens, thinking it wouldn't take THAT long to help that ONE person with a gift card before me, but it somehow took 30 minutes with a manager having to help her with the gift card. She kept telling me to leave the line (rudely), but not because she was closing the register, but because she genuinely didnt want to (or couldnt) help me return my item. I will find out her name, who literally cannot make a single transaction since there is no reason I should have to spend more than an hour at zara on a not busy week night. Also, they have a bunch of workers running around, but no cash registers open. Is that some fricked up business model? Not working for me and many others in this review section. Zero stars. Zero stars. Zero stars. read more

I finally was able to make my way to Zara. I had heard good things about the store only to be a little let down. The staff was friendly. However, I was a bit unimpressed with Zara's selection. There was a cute piece or pair of shoes here or there. There was nothing I hadn't seen before like at H&M. Trust me as you can tell I'm an avid fashionista. I'll check back to see their future collections. There is a glimmer of hope. read more

I've read some of the other reviews and there is definitely a common theme... Rude, poor customer service, and a disconnect with customers; I concur. I recently ordered online, tried to cancel a few hours later, was told it was too late but I could return items at no cost, returned them after which I learned there is a 30 day window between items being sent and returned (compared to 90 days with all other major retailers), and after many exchanged messages with customer service was unable to even receive store credit. I'm now eating over $800 for nothing. This place does not care about you. AVOID!! read more

This store is an embarrassment to the brand. I only came to return an item thankfully as 90% is unorganized clearance racks. The lines were insanely long with most staff just standing around and one person working at each counter. Management needs to be overhauled, and for their sake soon. read more

Great company and clothes but this location lacks people and leadership skills. Arrogant managers and associates. Why the company have these people on their payroll baffles me. Will never shop or recommend this location. read more

first let me just say i LOVE zara's clothes... most of my entire work wardrobe comes from zara, either from their online site or one of their stores in chicago. However, their customer service in their stores is the WORST! i can't believe that in both chicago stores i've been to, both michigan avenue and this one, i've had awful customer service. they're all standing around gossiping not caring to help. and when you ask for help they basically get annoyed, ESP. at this location off randolph. at the mich ave location i had a heavy shelf fall on my head and one of the sales associates was right there and walked away from the incident pretending it didn't happen. other customers in the store were apalled and complained to management but not much was done about it in the store. then at this location i had the worst return experience. i had a return from a store credit, so i found something for equal value but it was 12 cents off... 12 cents! they made me buy something additionally in order for me to get my exchange because it had to be equal or of greater value. anyway, they were not nice about it and just stressed how it was store policy but expressed it with an attitude... i was made to buy something for $7 that i didn't even want just to get this stupid scarf i was trying to buy of basically equal value of this shirt i was returning. i am in this store all the time shopping every other week and online, so there was nothing else i even wanted to get from this store, i feel like i already have everything in there at the moment i like, so i was forced to buy this stupid perfume that didn't even smell all that great just to get out of the store. anyway, bad customer service... they should really work on the attitudes at their stores in CHI. from here on out, i'll just be purchasing zara items online... read more

The clothes are amazing but the thing that pisses me off are the long lines for billing.

I will never go back into this location. I was the only one in the store this morning with many workers that had no interest in helping me. When I asked one of the employees if she worked there since she did not have a tag she rolled her eyes. Than in the dressing room needed a different size and the same gal would not even give me the time of day while she was in the dressing room. So had to go out barefoot and no one wanted to help. Cashier people one man standing in front and 2 Woman bpvery u friendly. Left buying something which was against what I wanted to do with their rudeness and the guy at the door did not even say goodbye, should take lessons from ur other stores and be courteous to people paying your bills, never will shop at that at location again. read more

Sales associates are extremely rude. I was sold a damaged item and when I tried to return it, the woman behind the counter accused me of wearing it and refused to take it back because "they don't put items like that on the rack." Well, somebody DID put it on the rack and now I'm screwed out of $50. I will never be shopping here again. Zara at Block 37 clearly does not care about their customers. read more

Amazing. We only went to the kids' department and the clothes are adorable, well-priced, and well-made. They are stylish (read, not obnoxious primary colors) but age appropriate (not Baby Phat for kids...). Our salesman was not pushy, very nice, and knowledgeable. And we were rocking the double-stroller, on a Saturday afternoon... not anyone's favorite type of customer. We have had such a difficult time finding a nice kids' clothes shop downtown and could not be happier. We will be back soon! read more

they had a huge sale and the sexiest trousers were on sale for around 15 bucks and was treated so nice by the sales people. I just have to go back because they had this awesome navy blue clutch that would go perfectly with my zara navy blue trousers. I hope its still there!!! read more

Regarding the service... The only reason I'm giving this Zara a generous 3 stars is because of the sales associates on the men's floor. When you ask someone on the women's floors you feel like you're interrupting something. My sister was even glared at for handing her an item that she no longer wanted but didn't want to stick on some random rack after she forgot where she got it from. However when we went up to the men's we were actually GREETED with a smile and I said loudly, "WOW it's so much FRIENDLIER up here." They actually came to US and asked if any of us needed questions answered. So cheers to them! read more

I purchased an item from their website but unfortunately the size was to small. I noticed their wasn't an option for exchange on the packing slip so I called in to see if I could exchange it at the store. I was transferred to the men's department to find out it if was in stock but the guy could not seem to remember the digits I repeated to him about 5 times. Finally he said he was able to go to their "big system" to look it up and was sorry to inform me that none of the stores in my area had the size I was looking for. I specifically asked him if I could send it back via UPS and get an exchange that way, he replied that it would be no problem to do it this way. I sent it back the same day I got it and included a note on the receipt to call or email me with any questions. The next day I called their customer service to double check (I called the day before @ 7 but they were closed somehow even though the number said they were open until 7:30) and sure enough the young lady on the phone said I can only exchange IN STORE. Not only this but I wouldn't be able to get the jacket at the discounted black Friday price I paid. So it went from $209.99 back up to $299.99. Needless to say I was P O'd! Who doesn't take exchanges via mail? Why was it so difficult to find out this info from the packing materials? How are these wackjobs still in business. Who knows, maybe I just had a bad experience. Even when I got the jacket, it looked pretty cheap and not worth more than $100. They've got quite the racket going on for sure! read more
