Do NOT! ~REPEAT~ ABSOLUTELY DO NOT do business with this company! Fabio sent movers that don't speak or understand any English. Called and spoke with several representatives (including the owner Fabio) who all were not taking responsibility for this failure. Advised that canceling the service would require a charge for $800 of gas between San Fran to LA. Why? No gas would be used if service were to be canceled! In addition, charge for 3 hours for the movers. To do what? arrive on scene and leave? You are out of your mind!!!! Imagine as a customer the sort of situation you are in when you are ready to have your belongings moved. Mind you, this was scheduled 2 months in advance. As a customer, you are completely exposed and vulnerable. With little options to correct this with a narrow window of time. This is the nightmare that you don't want to happen. Not to mention the GAS LIGHTING tactics that were performed by Fabio and his team. Repeatedly saying things like "Calm down", "Oh my god", "Jesus". Or saying that they would call back and never call back. Or transferring only for the line to "conveniently" drop. Communication is essential in doing good business. This is common sense. Fabio, be better! You know you messed up. This is not your first offense. If you are going to send movers that don't speak or understand English, then you need to give your customer's a proper heads up before making arrangements and taking their money. You stole that! Hired Zapt for my move and the experience was very poor - stay away. 1. Ripped my mattress (and tried to deny it) 2. Broke a bookshelf, didn't tell us, and disposed of it in the unloading. We found the broken pieces later. 3. Took 2x longer than estimated, and that's with my partner and I helping to pack for hours. It would be one thing if I thought the extra time resulted in extra care, but it didn't (cf 1 and 2 above.) It just felt likefee optimization. There are better moving companies. Amazing, quick, efficient, wonderful! About a month prior to our move, I searched around for a bunch of moving companies, by price and review. I started to call around the top cheapest companies, and found it to be frustrating. A lot of companies were either unresponsive, or just rude. Then I was called Zapt, and was thrilled with the customer service provided by Carlolina. She was incredibly thorough with everything, and made sure to ask good questions that I didn't even think of. It was a very easy quick decision to go with Zapt. A few days before our move I got an email to ensure that we had the details and specifics down, and then 2 days before I got a call to really ensure the details, which i very much appreciated. The day of, the gentlemen were perfectly on time, and INCREDIBLY efficient! They were great! While we didn't have a huge amount of stuff they finished in just over 2 hours. 06/07 - Move In Day Review: Distance - Berkeley to San Diego Like the weeks leading up to move-in, customer service has been superb. I could call the Customer Service line and am met with assistance automatically. Alessandra helped with a charge on my account, and Camila facilitated getting GPS Tracking to me on day of. Received a call from the owner a few hours to arrival stating that all the info needed for move-in would get to me as soon as my guys were on the road. My guys this time around were just as amazing as my move-out day -- both quick and efficient! Again, English was limited but they def understood me & my instructions clearly. They got all my stuff into my home in exactly 1hr. My items were handled with immense care & they were adamant in ensuring things were placed near their final destination in my home. Again, I stress the importance of tipping your crew. They traveled for hours the night prior for the job today & have even more jobs to do afterwards. The convenience of having them do all the hard work is worth it. All in all, I'll def be recommending Zapt to my friends and family in the Bay Area and SoCal as they were so easy to work with. read more

My wife and I used Zapt Movers to move our 1 bedroom unit furniture and boxes out. After scheduling and talking it through with the representative we thought the move would take less than 6 hours with 2 guys. I had prepacked most things before the move and did not take any appliances. Easy day. My wife was there to meet the guys first they arrived within the window. I didn't arrive until 11 am. I intended to arrive later to paint for the new tenants before the already scheduled cleaning crew arrived. I had to come to the property earlier because she called, to say "It took 40 mins for three movers to dismount the TV". So I left home and arrived there earlier. When I arrived I couldn't believe the scene. When I arrived, I saw the guys had parked their truck just beyond a speed bump where they made rolling furniture and boxes onto a ramp an issue. Also, the way the ramp was angled was going to make it harder on them. I could have told them but when I walked I was appalled at how casual the atmosphere was. One guy was on their phone (on time I paid for?), another was confused by the chair he was wrapping, and the other was trying to still take off the TV mount. After ZAPT moving team had been there for 2 1/2 hours. The TV upstairs was still mounted on the wall. They were still over 85% of the work still needed to be done. How is that possible???? So I called their customer service line. I let them know that the guys they sent were not working, and are going to mess up my timeline to paint inside. I informed them that they were not even sweating, and barely any of the material I wanted to move was in the truck. I informed that these guys don't know what they are doing! I was highly frustrated that I paid for movers but got amateurs. They worked very inefficiently and didn't even try to do work with pride. I watched these struggle with a simple task that looked unsafe for them to be doing anything like this. Everything they carried required two of them and to make matters worse, neither of them had an idea of what they were doing. The customer support representative listened and heard my complaint and called their manager. After the call, the guys started to move faster but this was after I arrived and my wife left the area. They were not going to work hard for her, that was clear. And these guys had no intentions of doing good work that day. It took 5 hours to pack our one-bedroom unit with these "movers". That's not right. The manager I spoke to, Fabio, said that it took the guys a long time because of the stairs............ But these guys are movers? How do you think that stuff got up there? That was the first time they were ever a problem... With movers. When they arrived at our new home it took 2 hours to unload and assemble the bed but did the bare minimum of work. Not only did I end up paying extra money because of the extra time it took for that team to move our stuff the lack of experience of the moving crew I received. They needed guidance and supervision. Why did I pay to babysit professionals to do a job? I would not recommend this company to anyone if that is the caliber of movers they are going to provide. When it was time for our move, they were speedy but careful. I was able to track the movers location with a provided link which expired so I had to contact the company to check their expected time. Overall satisfied with Zapt movers. Their customer service team is very responsive. We moved a one bed apt from Norcal to Socal. Move took the span of two days. Movers were on time loading day. On the day of unloading, there was a slight delay but communication was good. Majority of our furniture was fine after the move but we did incur some damage to our bookshelf and bed frame. The Zapt team did do right by adjusting the costs to a mutual agreement. My biggest worry was the transport of my 55" OLED tv and thank goodness, the TV made it safely. We had a pretty terrible experience with Zapt movers. We hired them for moving out from a 2-bed apartment. First the good : 1. The customer service and sales people were prompt and helpful to talk to. The bad : 1. The moving crew was scheduled to arrive between 1-2 pm, but arrived at 2:40 pm instead. Though that doesn't really make much difference given the rest. It was difficult to communicate with the crew as only one of them understood English partially. 2. They brought no tools. We had taken the full packing and moving service quoted at 1.5k for estimated 7 hr move. How are they supposed to disassemble and assemble heavy furniture without that ? I gave them my tools, but the crew looked very unprepared and unmotivated. 3. They parked their truck in the farthest parking spot from the apartment entrance. We told them to move it closer or right upfront to be efficient, but they said it doesn't make much difference. Every time they went to put some stuff in truck, they were gone for at least 15-20 mins easy. It took them 9 hrs for the move, and they didn't even move everything. 4. They came in a very small truck. I paid them more than 2k for a 9 hr 15 mins move, and they didn't move my 75" TV a couple of tables and some other stuff (all of which I had told them earlier about) because their truck was full. Now I am on my last lease date for my rental apartment and am on my own to move these big things myself. During my initial call I had told them about each and every furniture, lamp and other heavy items. 5. They damaged our double bed and the newly remodeled home we moved into. We had moved 3 years back from a 2-bed with these same 2 double beds, dining table and other furniture. The moving service we used that time had a super professional crew who had got the job done in 4 hrs. I would not recommend them for a move. They were unprofessional and unprepared. Update : Zapt told us they cannot help us finish the move the next day as they had no availability. We had to vacate the rental the same day and had made the mistake of relying on them for the move. We were unable to find other movers for the same day move, as the end of the month is the most busy time for movers. We ended up renting UHaul and finishing the move ourselves. read more
