Beware of this company. My bed wasn't assembled properly in my new place & collapsed in the middle of the night. I didn't have lamps setup at this point so I was injured, laying on the floor with a flashlight in my mouth trying to figure out what was going on. Because my bed frame wasn't assembled correctly, screws and components were now beyond usable and bent. This isn't even the worst part. The worst part is that when I reached out to Steve, the owner of this company, he responded asking me for details, the date of my move, etc. After I gave him all of my information, he ghosted me. I've sent multiple emails to him, his staff. I've evn called the phone number from the website, gotten a hold of a staff member who then told me Steve is unreliable and to send an email to X email instead. Still zero response. I moved 6 months ago... shame on this company! IMO great customer service is crucial for success of any company. This company is absolutely SHAMEFUL with their customer service and ghosting. This 7 mile move costed me more than my cross-country, New York to California move. Do yourself a favor and use any other moving company. read more

Seeing some of these negative reviews makes me very grateful that our experience was extremely positive. About a month ago my mother in law needed help moving and my wife found this place on Yelp. They were quick with responding and setting up an appointment time that worked for us. Their quotes are for a minimum of three hours, with a varying amount of movers, depending on the job. Luckily for both parties, it was an easy job with only a few large furniture items since we were downsizing her place. Lennox(?) sorry if I spelled his name wrong... was very professional and friendly throughout the entire process. There were two other movers working with that day and they were both very kind. The team finished the job sooner than the allotted time and they helped set up everything in her new place as well. I was on a tight schedule to remodel my apartment to install new vinyl flooring. I reached out to Eagle Movers on Yelp to help. Matt, from Eagle communicated the price which was standard moving price per hour and the minimum hours. The movers were prompt and very thorough. Just encountered 2 of the most rude and unprofessional movers I've ever come across! While I was not using the service myself, a new tenant was moving into the apartment complex I live in. These movers completely blocked the back entrance to my building with their truck, obscuring my parking space and imparing my normal entrance to the building. When I told him this, his response was to threaten me repeating "What are you gonna do, huh?!" As just someone who lives in the building, this was bad enough, I can't imagine having to actual work with these people as a customer! Beware! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The day before my move from San Francisco to San Diego they called me to inform me that due to a "system error" on their end that the rate they quoted me was wrong by almost 2000 dollars. Paperwork had already been signed for the original price they quoted me but they informed me that paperwork was not "binding". They also informed I would now be required to agree to the new price or be without a moving company the day before my move. They did nothing to make up for the fact that this error was completely their fault. This entire process felt like I was being scammed and extorted for more money. read more

The morning after the move, I became aware of two areas of damage. Unfortunately, I did not think to do a walk through at the old house since focus was on getting all the furniture into the new house after a second round trip. Very noticeable damage to window ledge and doors that won't be cheap to fix. 100% certain neither was there before the move, had done a walk through before the day. The impact of both seems unlikely that it happened without the crew member noticing, it couldn't have been silent. Reached out immediately, owner apologized and said he'd look into it and follow up. It's been almost a week and haven't heard back yet. I'll update my review if and when a resolution is communicated. I hope to because I want to like this company. read more

Overall - 2 stars. I do not write reviews normally, but this was insanity. Booking experience - 1 star. On March 18 I booked my move, and provided the company with information that would be required to complete the move. I was told that I would be called to process my deposit, and provided an email address as to where to send the move requirements. After a follow up email I still had not heard back, called the company on Friday, March 28 and apparently my move could not be located by the representative. I was told I would get a call back on Friday. No call was received. On Saturday, March 29, I called and again - the person I spoke with initially could not help. Jennifer ultimately ended up being friendly and helpful and confirmed that she would follow up with me Monday morning to confirm that the moving requirements would be met. No call back from Jennifer. I finally was able to speak with Joe who quickly addressed the concerns. My move time was not correct on the reservation, and I had to request multiple times for this to be updated. One of the MOST important requirements was that I needed the move to start as close to 8 AM as possible because the move out of my old home needed to be completed between 8 AM and 12 PM -- see customer service section below. Customer service - 1 star. On the morning of my move (after confirming the start time to be 8-9 less than 24 hours earlier, I had not received any updates. At 8:45 AM I called and spoke with Joe who indicated that he would request dispatch reach out to me immediately. At 9 AM (after no call from dispatch) I called and spoke with Joy. Joy indicated that there was essentially nothing that she could do and kept reiterating that she "respected" me. I found this condescending. I left that conversation with a feeling of immense disrespect and even more frustrated. She told me to call back again in 15 minutes -- I expressed my frustration that it should not be my responsibility to "follow up". At 9:15 AM I called AGAIN, and spoke with Joe. This call was (finally) interrupted by the move team who indicated that they were told to be at the warehouse by 8, and had issues with truck size that they had not planned on requiring them to go to U-Haul to rent a truck(I guess no thorough review of the building requirements). I expressed my great concern about the fact that my move needed to be completed by 12 PM (which was why I went with Eagle Moving and Storage -- because they confirmed that they could, without a question, arrive at 8, and be completed with the move out of the first building by 12 PM). The movers arrived at approximately 10:10-10:15 AM, which is in excess of 2 hours of the requested arrival time, and over an hour outside of the promised arrival widow between 8-9 AM. The move out of the building was NOT completed by 12, the service elevator was then "shut down" from 12-1, and then we had to finish in the second move period (which I could have been charged for). Actual movers - 4 stars. They moved quickly in light of the above. Based on what I saw, the above was NOT the movers faults, and instead was miscommunication by management/their bosses. There was some small damage, which I think is normal, but perhaps preventable had they not been working so quickly to try to be done by noon. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and STRESSFUL situation for me. The movers were very kind and apologetic, but the actual system of booking and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Needless to say, I will not be recommending or considering this company at any point in the future. I lost several hours on Saturday (approx. 4) that could have been used to unpack, clean, etc. had the move begun at 8 AM. Those are 4 hours that I cannot get back all due to lack of planning and coordination. read more

What lifesavers! My wife and I, after having dinner and few margaritas, bought a rather heavy set of teak table and chairs at a store in Santa Cruz that does not normally sell furniture and so how no delivery service. Shortly after the purchase I realized my plans for moving it myself with our Honda Fit was more than I could or should try to do. So after requesting a move quote on Yelp, Eagle Movers replied to us swiftly and called us, asking all of the right question, being detailed and offered us a good rate. They scheduled the pick up the next day, provided text message updates so we knew what was happening, and delivered our new table and chairs very well wrapped and unwrapped. The delivery team was friendly and efficient. They even notice some minor damage to the feet of one of the stools on pickup and which allowed us to negotiate a discount on the items we had already purchased. Such nice attention to detail. I used their service for moving in October 5, 2024. It was a move in the same complex. They are supposed to come at 2pm but came at 4:45 pm. For 1 bed room apartment they took 5 hours to load and 5 hours to unload. Finally they finished moving at 2:45 am next day. I am thankful that they finished moving finally. Oh boy, what a nightmare dealing with this company! I think it went under new ownership a few years ago and all business etiquette and ethics seem to have gone down the drain. We used Eagle moving (old ownership) to move us several years ago and it was super smooth, timely & efficient. Not surprisingly we contacted them again (new ownership) for a move in 2023. Our move window was between 2-6pm which already very wide but the sales agent Tess promised us (verbally) that the movers will be no later than 3pm just so she could close the sale. Well the movers arrived at 7.30pm! I had to call several times while no one at the office would answer just to get an update. We just waited around until 5pm before one of the movers built up the courtesy to call with an update that it will be several more hours. Once they movers arrived they were horribly unprepared. No packing material, boxes etc even after we told them that we want our kitchen professionally packed. They dumped food, electronics and shoes all in one box (see photos). We reached our new location at 1am and the movers were so obnoxiously loud that it woke up our neighbors. Given the commotion they were creating at that hour, we had to have them dump everything and let them go right away, which ended up being a ton more work for us. Eagle Moving! If Satan himself were moving from the 6th level of hell to the 7th, I would suggest he not use Eagle, lest his trident arrive bent and non-functional. TLDR: DO NOT USE EAGLE MOVING. RUN, RUN FAST, RUN FAR. I don't write reviews very often, so an experience has to be either a) exceptional or b) so utterly sub standard, you can only hope you were having a fever dream. I will also preface this with the fact that I have indeed used Eagle once before, with luke-warm results. The move itself was fine, but then again, it wasn't a big ask - a move of less than 1 mile. With that said, working with Eagle the second time around was an absolute nightmare. Having put too much faith in my past experience, I limited my shopping around, and called John on July 1st to secure my move (July 30th). The complexity of this move was nothing out of the ordinary, or at least you'd think it wouldn't be for a company whose entire business is moving. It consisted of picking up items from my apartment, going to my partner's apartment, then heading to our final drop off point. San Francisco to Oakland, so pretty local. John explained that for that day (July 30th), he could offer me a 12-5 arrival window. I should have known that being given a 5 hour pickup window was already a red flag, but he assured me that it would be on the earlier side of things, as the crew only had a studio bedroom move before my scheduled window opening (allegedly from 8:00am to noon). It's the day of the move -- Noon rolls around, no big deal, just normal moving anxiety. 1:00...2:00...3:00... I'm thinking, "Come on already. Three hours and not so much as a phone call for a status update?" I finally called the company (and happened to speak with Matt (who, by the way, if you're reading this, I've been trying to reach you for the last 3 days but to no avail. I was hesitant to write this review until after our conversation but seeing as you won't even return my call, I'm forced to resort to this)) who told me that the one truck that happened to not have a GPS locator was the one that was assigned to me -- worse yet, they could not get in touch with the foreman either! They essentially told me to hurry up and wait. Not yet 5:00, I acquiesced. 4:00...4:30...still no communication. Finally, at 5:01, I get a call from the foreman who says, and I quote, "we'll be there in 17 minutes if you still want us to come." Excuse me? Is this real life? I explain of course I do...45 minutes later, a truck finally arrives. No apology, or even an ounce of sympathy. I'd like to take a moment to also explain that our move was to a controlled access building, including loading dock and freight elevator access. The only downside of this (and it's hard to call this a downside frankly) was that we could only select a 2 hour window for the elevator and dock to be blocked off. I explained this to Eagle multiple times in an effort to make THEIR job of hauling items up 3 floors a little bit easier. Our wonderful apartment complex was accommodating and allowed us to use the freight elevator, but no luck with a loading dock since it was after hours at this point. But that's fine, let's 'move' on. While I'd hoped the worst was over, I'd soon learn to put even less faith in "budget" movers. They loaded up my apartment, much of which I'd already consolidated considering I'd been waiting for 5+ hours, and I think "This isn't too bad." The crew isn't the most motivated, and they don't seem to move too quickly but that's understandable when the job is charged by the hour. ($169/hour by the way; normally $179/hour but I got $10/hour off for being a 'loyal customer.') We finally leave the first place, and as I'm following them to the next pickup point, they call me and tell me they're stopping to get a drink. Sure, it's only ~10 minutes, but I'm still paying for this (remember, we started at ~5:45). We head to my partner's house, taking the most inefficient route, backtracking in some cases, adding an additional 15 minutes, at least; time is money and they don't seem to respect either of mine. Finally, we're there. They begin loading up the remaining items, somewhat carelessly, as they chip paint and ding corners like their salaries depend on it. I'm so over it at this point and just want the move to be over and to never see this crew or work with this company again. We finish, and I follow them in my car as we cross through SF, over the Bay Bridge, to our destination. As mentioned earlier, we wrangled our apartment complex and were able to provide a freight elevator, and even after telling the driver the cross streets and parking directions, he drives away and calls me with angry intent: "you told me xx street." I explain he drove right by the instructed stopping point. Again, I was driving directly behind him and upon arrival, I flashed my lights and tried to get his attention -- he continued to drive. Don't do it!! These 2 guys were extremely lazy. My regular handyman was busy. And he moved my things in 45 min a one man job. These two movers took 11/2 for some bins about 8 10 bags of clothes a tv and dressed. Then they did not pack everything up. Just lazy they left a bin then they left my stackables.
