Commander Moving has been an outstanding power partner for us in the service industry. Their team is knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and consistently reliable--qualities that make a huge difference when customers are already dealing with the stress of a move or restoration project. We've had the opportunity to work alongside them for mutual customers, and they always represent themselves professionally while providing excellent service. Karel and his team are great to work with--easy to communicate with, solution-oriented, and genuinely committed to taking care of their customers. Their communication is excellent, they move quickly when needed, and they consistently follow through on what they promise. It's rare to find a company that combines efficiency with such a positive customer experience. I never hesitate to recommend Commander Moving and am grateful to have Karel and his team as trusted partners and a valuable resource for our clients. read more

As a local Realtor, I see first hand how stressful moving can be. When it came time to my own move, I knew just who to use! Karel and his team are unmatched. Upon arrival, we quickly discovered we had more things to move than expected and the team adapted flawlessly to increasing the time needed to complete the project. Not only were they working nonstop for us, they took great care in all of our items. They wrapped our furniture and delicate pieces, and even dismantled our bed frame to get it through the door. When arriving at our next place, they unwrapped all the furniture that was wrapped and placed it in our desired place. The team went above and beyond in caring for our items, completed everything in a timely manner, were very thoughtful, and extremely hard working. It's safe to say our move was stress-free. I cannot recommend Commander Moving enough! I will continue to recommend them to my family, friends, and clients. read more

Professional, friendly and hard-working crew. We have a pretty big house with 17 years of stuff. We did a combination of them packing and us packing. Needed two big trucks and it took all day, but they did a great, great job. These guys had the experience as painless as possible. read more

My girlfriends and I recently moved from Emeryville back to San Francisco. While looking for moving companies to help facilitate our move, I came Across Commander Moving and saw they had great reviews. The booking process was very easy - you request a quote online with your estimated move size as well as your start/ end destination. I was reached out to within 24 hours to get more details regarding my move and get a proper estimate. The pricing was comparable to other companies and was very fair. During the course of packing, I learned that my building did not allow for moves on the date I originally booked. The commander team (notably Karel who handles booking) was very gracious and flexible and found us a slot to have our items moved the day after our originally scheduled date. Today, the day of the move, the moving team showed up 30 minutes earlier than anticipated and went straight to work. These guys work fast - they cleared up our apartment effortlessly and even took care of things we were thinking of taking care of ourselves. At our new apartment, the team handled all our items carefully (bringing items up stairs, parking on a hill - you name it) All in all , I was thoroughly impressed by the Commander Moving team as a whole. I'd recommend them to anyone moving and I will look to them first for my next move. read more

Commander Moving - Only a portion of our stuff the commander team moved - Movers Near Me - Danville, California

Commander came recommended by a couple of different folks at our condo complex in Oakland (sad to leave!). We used them to move our big furniture from there back to our home base in South Palo Alto. They were really professional on the quote, and the day of the move they were on-time, professional, and fast! The crew of three had our big pieces wrapped safely in blankets, and moved out in about a tenth the time it would have taken us! And on the other end they were efficient and quick in unloading and placing those pieces where we wanted them. They even came in under their estimated time, which is always a bonus. We are very satisfied with their service, I'd definitely recommend them. read more

This was, hands down, the best moving experience I have ever had, no exaggeration. The positive experience started right away, from the intro call with Jerry, who kindly and thoroughly explained what to expect, all the way through working with Efrain Papa and Efrain Jr. on the day of the move. It was truly an incredible experience. All of my items were handled with care, and Efrain Papa and Efrain Jr were professional, hardworking, and incredibly kind, a rare combo. In an industry where movers sometimes get a bad rap for being difficult or opportunistic, the Commander team completely shattered those stereotypes and delivered service built on trust and respect. I absolutely loved working with Commander and plan to use them for all of my upcoming moves. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free and compassionate moving crew! read more

This was one of the BEST moving experiences we have ever had. We needed to move quickly and the team gave us an estimate and date in record time. The team was professional, helpful, thorough. They did a spectacular job. We recommend them wholeheartedly!! read more

Really well done service. Scheduling was straightforward, everyone showed up on time, and I very much appreciated everyone's positive attitude when some of the pieces were tough to negotiate around corners or stairs. Take care of these guys and they will take care of you.... read more

We were so impressed with the service and value that we received. The communication, expertise, and work efficiency were outstanding throughout the day-long moving process. We highly recommend Commander Moving! read more

We moved from the East Bay to Daly City and decided to go with Commander Moving because of their great communication and fair pricing. It was a long day, but actually much shorter than I was expecting! The crew was prompt and packaged my furniture well, nothing broke or was damaged. I was impressed that they were prepared to help set up/assemble furniture in our new location! With all that said, we have another small move, and reached out to Commander Moving again. They were such a huge help the first time, I didn't think twice about contacting them again! read more

10/10 service. We used a different company two years for a similar move, and it cost twice as much and took twice as long. The crew was incredibly efficient (Adam, Alex and I feel so bad I can't recall the last gentleman's name but I think it started with an M). They were friendly and professional. I'll recommend them to anyone! (As I probably won't ever move again ). Thank you all for making this move a breeze!! read more

Wow, I am so impressed with Commander Moving! I had to do a very last minute move, and had several coworkers recommend Commander. I called them on Thursday to schedule a Saturday move, and Robert made it super easy and worked with me to find a good time. He was also really responsive to quick questions. When the day came to move, Adam, Manny and Efrain were super efficient and careful with our belongings. We did almost all the packing ourselves, but for those items that were a bit precarious, the team did an excellent job packing up. They were really thoughtful about the move, asking questions when things were unclear, while still moving at speed of light. Cannot recommend them enough! read more

Commander Moving was an excellent choice. It started with Robert who organized the move who was very helpful. The move itself was led by Adam and his crew of Manny and Alfredo. They were prompt, courteous, responsive, and very efficient. Throughout the move they triple checked that everything I wanted was moved to the right spot. Any little thing I asked they were supportive of. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they took measures to ensure doors, rails, and carpet were protected. These guys are true friendly professionals. I've had bad experiences with movers before, but not here. Adam and crew will take away any stress you have with moving! Highly recommend! read more

Commander Moving rocks! Hire them. I spoke with Mike first, and he was professional, organized and great with communication. They provided super seamless, amazing service. Moving sucks, it's hard, but with these guys we were able to get it all done. I recommend our team specifically, headed up by Adam. He and his guys were unfailingly friendly and helpful and I'm so appreciative of their hard work. They carried heavy things up many stairs, in the heat, and still were nice to us :) In terms of price, I didn't really shop around, but I thought it was good value. We had 6 guys and 2 trucks. The bigger crew just made everything go way faster, so it's worth considering that when you are comparing quotes with other companies. We finished much more quickly than the quote had initially estimated. In part this was because we were able to move some items ourselves ahead of time, but also the bigger crew means they can just get it out and in much faster. I'd hire them again! read more

Second time moving with Commander. First time about ten years ago moved in same complex to upper floor 2 bedroom apartment. Commander finished job in a couple hours. Second move with Commander was yesterday from East Bay to SF. Took the Commander crew of three 1.25 hours to move a two bedroom apartment down to the truck and a total 3.5 hours to drive to SF and unload truck up to a second floor flat. That is a two bedroom apartment moved in 3.5 hours folks. The three movers were nothing but courteous and professional. The three man crew worked tirelessly until the job was completed. This moving company and their crews are the real deal. read more

This was our third move with Commander Moving and I continue to be impressed. First started with Karel when booking and he made it such a breeze then had the pleasure of working with Adam, Albert, and Manny on moving day. This crew of three were phenomenal. Communication before and during was constant and they were incredibly efficient with their time. Can't believe how much they can move at once! I know we will move again and Commander will be our go to once again when the time comes. read more

Excellent service through out the process of the move. It started with onsite visit to get me a detailed quote. For comparison, other movers did a video quote or over the phone quote without even seeing the actual house! This made us decide on Commander for our move! From the time we accepted their quote to the day of the move, they kept communicating with us by phone and email. The day of the move Karel, the owner of Commander Movers visited our home. He was very friendly and took extra effort to reassure us and gave his contact number for any move day help! We didn't have to take him up on his offer, but highly appreciate this thoughtful gesture that reassured us greatly! The moving crew led by Adam was very organized and professional. They handled all the furniture carefully and took great care in moving the fragile items! Testament to their care, not even a single glass item broke in the entire move! They did an excellent job of dismantling and reassembling all the furniture! They followed our requests on furniture placement and minor placement adjustments cheerfully after a long day of move! Kudos to the entire moving crew. We found them to provide great service and value! Highly recommend them for any moving project! read more

Commander was perfect: fast and friendly when I was in a pinch; responded immediately. Made sure everything I cared about was wrapped/covered to my satisfaction before and after. Great drivers and just all around people, will talk to you like a reason person, ask you questions, make small talk. First choice now "moving" forward! read more

Had a great experience with Commander Moving. Booking was easy. Moving crew was on time. The crew of three carefully wrapped nearly every item. They then made it to our end destination even before I did and were ready to unload as soon as I got there. The move was finished sooner than I expected and the price was fair. This was my third move with Commander Moving and I would, without a doubt, use them again. read more

This was the easiest, smoothest, least-stressful move I've ever had thanks to everyone at Commander Moving. The company was recommended to me by friends who also had a perfect experience. Gerry was so organized, helpful, and responsive, and he even got me in the schedule within a week or two. He was a joy to work with. Alfredo and Efraín were absolutely incredible during my long-distance move, and were organized, friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. They are also the gift that keeps on giving; even though I didn't tell them where to put anything in the new apartment, they somehow put all of my boxes in the perfect place so that I can easily access everything. I'm so unbelievably grateful to Commander Moving and have already recommended them to family and friends. read more

Commander Moving - Movers Near Me - Danville, California

Commander Moving is THE moving company to book with. I received two additional quotes though Commander Moving was the only company to come out and actually view the items we had to move and provide an almost spot-on quote for what they figured the cost to move would be. Not only that, we were moving from a four bedroom, 2.5 bath with lots of kid toys, up a drive way and had a hot tub to move, and they handled with extreme care. EVERY SINGLE mover was top notch, respectful, and pleasant to be around; the owner even came and made sure the move started off great. I would highly recommend this company. Not a single thing broke either. Great company! read more

I am so glad to have contacted Commander Moving, This is a local Bay Area company with local area movers. They have a physical office/storage location and showed up in a giant 'Commander Moving' branded truck. These are not 3rd party movers that show up in a rented UHaul. (Those of you who have had this experience, you know what I mean.) Moving is always stressful, but I had to move an office in a short amount of time. The Commander himself, Karel, walked the office within an hour of the appointment. He took a few notes, said 'We got this,' and proceeded to fit us in on a busy Saturday. Saturday came and of course, it had to storm. (high winds, pouring rain, tornado warning! WTF Bay Area!) Efrain Sr, Efrain Jr, Alex and Albert introduced themselves and were all smiles and good spirits even in the pouring rain. They walked the office with me one time and proceeded to box, wrap and move a large amount of files and electronics quickly, efficiently, and in my opinion, record fast time. The entire process from office to storage was a bit over 3 hours. Absolutely amazing! Amazing work! I highly recommend Commander Moving to anyone in the Bay Area that needs moving and storage needs. They made a stressful situation so much better and are local and reliable service. Many Thanks! read more

Man I love these folks. They've now moved us all around SF and East Bay 5 or 6 times over the last 15 years, plus storage for a couple containers of stuff for the past few months, and they're never anything but a pleasure to work with from the first phone call with Ruth to site visits from Karel to the final box delivered by any one of the many crews we've worked with. Super friendly, flexible, responsible, professional, just whatever you need from the smallest to the largest is never a problem. And always on or under budget, in both time and money. Moving is generally something to grit your teeth and get through, except for the working-with-Commander part - that part I actually, legitimately, look forward to. Can't wait to do it again. :) read more

The team that came to move was on time, very fast (everything moved before 4pm same day), and very easy to work with. They were friendly and professional and got the job done at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Commander Moving read more

We hired Commander Moving to move us out of our current home so it can be staged and sold, while we spend a couple of months in an AirBnB, and all of our stuff is stored at the Commander Moving warehouse. Once our house sells and we find a new place, we'll have Commander Moving bring all of our furniture, art, clothes, etc. from their warehouse to our new home. The folks at Commander Moving were pleasant and professional on the phone, as was the estimator who came to our house weeks beforehand. On moving day, they sent two trucks, a van, extra packing materials, a supervisor, and 7 guys to move us. The company owner stopped by to check on his guys and to check-in on our satisfaction mid-move. They were prompt (8:00am) and quick: they had our multi-level 3-story home of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, LR, DR, office, washer/dryer, heavy wine fridge, standup freezer, sofas, chairs, storage areas, and LOTS of fragile art packed and on the truck by 2:00pm -- well ahead of schedule. They then left for the warehouse where they loaded our things into protective containers. All of the guys were hard workers, strong, careful, friendly, courteous, and professional. We are very happy with our experience so far and feel confident our belongings are in good care at their warehouse while we search for our next home. This is a super-stressful time; the folks at Commander Moving made moving day (relatively) stress-free. read more

I have moved several times with Commander Moving and they're the best in the business. The estimation process is quick and easy. The crew shows up on time and works so quickly and efficiently that you won't even have time to pick up the pizza you ordered for them. They moved our whole two bedroom house in a morning and even helped with some junk removal at the end of the move. I don't plan to move again very soon, but when I do, I'll be contacting Commander Moving again! read more

I've used Commander Moving twice now, most recently to move back to the East Bay from Sonoma County. Both times they have been fast, efficient, professional and fun through the entire process. Booking with Jerry and Karel was seamless and easy, the company's communication is always fast and clear. The moving crew of Adam, Alfredo, and Manny did a great job, including having to do two stops to pick up my stuff, moving a grand piano, and disassembling other furniture to get it out the door, and then reassembling things on the other end. All done with skill, care, and great attitudes. Highly recommended. read more

Commander moving company moved me today. 4 bedroom house. They sent 6 men and two trucks. The he men were the extremely polite, wrapped and moved our furniture like it was their own. We have very heavy furniture and the guys had to move the heavier pieces upstairs. Jayson was a pleasure as well as the rest of the men. A high quality job. I will be a repeat customer and will highly recommend commander moving. The price was well worth the great experience. Someone found my wife's wallet and they promptly brought it to our attention. At $125 per hour (plus $65 fuel surcharge) for two movers and a 24' truck, the pricing rate for this moving service is about what I expected. The movers were hard-working and did a good job. I docked a star because the employees charged for 5 hours despite working 4 hours, since they arrived at our storage unit at 8am without notifying us ahead of time that they were on the way, and needed to wait for me to arrive to provide them with access to the unit. We were told by Ruth (the very nice person who answers at the phone number) that we would receive a call 20-30 minutes ahead of the start time to avoid this exact scenario. The employees also claimed a need to be paid for the time spent driving to the loading location and from the unloading location (from/to the Commander Moving truck depot), which I don't understand. The move began at 8:30am and ended at 12:30pm, but they charged for 8am to 1pm. This experience reflects a preventable communication problem that cost us an extra $125. Putting this problem aside, I was satisfied with the moving service provided and would recommend them if the loading location is somewhere you'll be able to meet the movers as soon as they say they've arrived. read more

Excellent customer service all the way around from the 1st phone call to inquire about fees, protocol and services. Representative was easy to understand, direct, and precise with details on time range and flexibility of the moving men. We received a call in the morning of the move to confirm our truck rental time so the moving men could arrive shortly after. There was no sitting around! Adam & Manny quickly went into action never stopping for a break. They were kind considerate, polite helpful and always insuring the careful handling of all our items. They packed the 20 ft moving truck so diligently and meticulously-not even the 800 mile drive on the treacherous pot hole ridden Hwy 850 or 5 fwy was a match to the safety of the pack. Everything arrived in one piece with nothing broken .... Not even the 3 huge aloe Vera plants. I highly recommend. read more
