I called them to schedule a move: unloading a 16' PODS container from Oakland and moving to Berkeley. I told them that the container was full. On the day of the move, they sent a small truck which could not fit everything. The two guys the sent were very slow (took 2 hours to load the truck), and weren't careful with boxes labeled "fragile". They told me that my options were: (1) make two trips, (2) only do 1 trip and leave the rest of the stuff in the POD, or (3) they could unload everything into the POD and walk away. Why would they send a truck that couldn't fit everything when I told them the exact volume of my stuff is beyond me. read more

Incredible experience every step of the way!! I was so impressed and relieved that even from the start, the logistics team was able to clearly let me know what to expect and how the move would operate. This was my first time hiring movers, and I had a multi step move including a stop at a storage unit as well as a studio apartment that both needed to be moved to a new building. The movers led by Walter on moving day showed up on time, were so incredibly professional and kind, I felt extremely comfortable and relieved that all my items would be moved with care and expertise. Nothing was damaged or broken during the move, and I packed very haphazardly, like a 5 year old, so that is saying something!! These guys were able to move my large king bed, big sectional couch, 70 inch flat screen tv, along with all my other random items and boxes up and down second story apartments with no elevator, and up multiple very steep sets of stairs in a hilly neighborhood. They handled the move with grace and a positive attitude, despite such hard and steep conditions. 4 really nice guys showed up on time and moved the furniture of our home very safely. Most of our boxes we had moved prior, on our own. It took double the amount of time I expected for 4 men (6h), and it cost a fortune, but there was no damage to anything except a lampshade they didn't wrap. I must say they OVER wrapped many other things, which I feel added quite a bit of time. Blankets and tape is sufficient, but they put loads of stretch wrap on TOP of all that, for a 12 mile move. The man Michael who takes care of the phones and communication is super friendly and communicative, easy to work with, good businessman. It's why I chose them. read more

8/17/2025 I literally just had the movers of a lifetime!!! I had 3 movers come to my home in Richmond bright and early and they were in such good spirits for it to be so early. Which I loved. I had an extremely heavy bed and they moved it with grace and confidence. The move was from Richmond to Oakland and they were able to knock it out in such fast timing! I love when I have movers that are in good spirts and crack a few jokes and thats what the yak and yeti team had - they were even able to make my husband smile a few times and he is not a morning person lol. I replied to their email survey asking how I felt about their service and let them know I was unhappy with being charged twice the estimate I was given, among other things. It's been over a month and they have not responded. I had some other issues I wanted to discuss, but since they never got back to me, I'll mention them here. When the movers came, they had me sign three signature pads. I asked a couple of times what I was signing and with the exception of being told that one of the signatures was to allow them to do the move, I have no idea what the other signatures were for. I asked twice but couldn't quite understand the response. My bad for signing when I wasn't sure what I was signing but I was under a time crunch for the move to happen so didn't have much of a choice. To ask someone to sign something without having a written explanation of what is being signed seems at best unprofessional and at worst, unethical. When I originally scheduled the move, I was told I could pay by Zelle, cash, check or credit card but if I paid by credit card, there would be an extra charge. When the move was over, I tried to pay by Zelle and when he didn't want Zelle, I told him I could pay by check. He said he wanted me to pay by credit card - the only form of payment that was going to cost me more. That felt sketchy. And finally, there are double doors leading to my apartment. One of the doors wasn't opening so they used force to push it open and now the two doors are no longer flush with each other. I think what adds another layer of frustration to all of this is that the company knows I was not happy with their services and have done nothing to contact me about it. Hopefully I won't be moving anytime in the near future but if I do, I won't be using this company. read more
