Huge NEGATIVE from today's visit: I placed an order over the phone, but didn't know about the lunch special that goes until 4 PM. No one mentioned it either. When I arrived I asked if I could do the lunch special but they said no because I had already ordered and the order had gone through to the back. I hadn't even paid yet but they refused to let me do the special. All I needed was to add one extra roll to my order so I could pay $19.99 instead of close to $40. Very disappointing. Their food is delicious and has not disappointed. Wish they looked out for their customers.

This place, oh man. I'm not a fan of restaurants relying on technology for everything...I actually enjoy having a handheld menu. This place doesn't have one. There's one tablet per table, and that's how you order. The waitress is basically only there for drinks. We had to figure out how to order everything through the tablet, which I honestly found pretty frustrating. And unfortunately, the service wasn't much better. I constantly had to flag the waitress down for drink refills and help with the tablet. If the tablet is doing more than half the job, the least you can do is make sure our drinks are full. We ordered a drink, then went to order the sushi as well. Turns out we couldn't even order food for another 10 minutes because the tablet doesn't allow you to order again. So we got to sit there drinking juice and my wine for 10 minutes before I could even order our food. ‍ If you're going to make customers order everything themselves, at least make sure the system actually allows them to order everything when they're ready. I also asked what brand of Cabernet they served, and the response was simply, "red." I had to ask her to go look at the bottle and let me know the brand. They also forgot one of our plates. When I brought it to their attention, they told me they had made it. I had to explain that I was still missing it. She went to the kitchen, came back, and said, "We'll make another one." Again...just frustrating. And they really need to clean those plastic stands on the tables. When I went to pick one up to read it, it was filthy and sticky. Gross! On top of that, it was HOT inside. I'm not sure if the AC was broken, but it definitely made sitting and eating uncomfortable. They did give me a good-sized glass of wine, which I appreciated. BUT...the food was AMAZING! That is easily the biggest plus here. I would absolutely order the food again, but I personally wouldn't dine in. If I'm going to do most of the ordering myself and still have to constantly flag someone down, wait to order, chase down missing food, and deal with all the technology stuff, I'd rather just get the food to go. Oh, the mussels here though are absolutely disgusting!!! If I had a better service experience, I would probably be willing to look past all of the technology stuff because the food really is that good. But unfortunately, the service was just extremely frustrating. Amazing food, disappointing service, uncomfortable dining experience.

All around a great sushi spot in Upland! Friendly service and the sushi is fresh. Lunch is $28.99 for AYCE which I think is a pretty good deal. You order on a tablet but they have servers walking around in case you need anything else.

Aghhhh so the food looks amazing Butttttttttttt pleaseeeee don't put the vegan vegetable rolls with the fish rolls I'm vegan and I couldn't eat the rolls because they were placed next to my boyfriends fish rolls in two containers I'm so saddddd The restaurant looks amazing The food looks amazing Please in the future when someone orders vegetable rolls don't mix them with two fish rolls It makes no sense when there's to veggie rolls why you'd pair them in a container with fish We will have to come in person and express this when we order I will re review with 5 stars then It looks so good toooo

Came by for a friends birthday on a Saturday in the late afternoon and there wasn't a wait at all. We told them we were celebrating her birthday and they brought out a cute little bear sushi "cake." Service was attentive as always with the help of the tablet to call if you need anything especially with water refills on the super hot day we came in on. (They have nice air conditioning which helps as well). We got our favorite orders of seared salmon and the one time carpaccios as always. Love it here and will definitely be back!

This is our second time at Z Sushi! I love that this place serves 4 pieces per sushi roll when you do the all you can eat option. Most places do 8 pieces per roll which is way too much. I enjoy trying a variety of sushi rolls, so 4 pieces is a perfect size. The fish is of great quality. The sashimi and carpaccio are so fresh, they just melt in your mouth. As far as the rolls the fresh rolls are my fave. The staff is very friendly and they come around often to check on you. You place your orders yourself on the tablets located at the table. It's super user friendly to place your order(s) yourself. My only suggestion is don't pay until you've received your final order items. We paid before receiving our last roll and we never got it. When we asked about it they informed us that they no longer had our order in their order queue. The waiter was kind and placed our final sushi roll order. Overall, this is a great restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious sushi!

My wife, daughter and I went here a few days ago to try a new AYCE sushi spot in Upland near us! We had an incredible time! We walked in the front door for our 6:30 reservation and before we could even say hello the wait staff already had a hi-chair enroute for my daughter. We both did the AYCE and were shocked at the selection and most importantly, freshness of the fish. They didn't charge us anything for my daughter (under 2) and she ate off both of our plates. The space is a beautiful, airy dining space and they give every table a tablet to order food and drinks. Reminded me a little bit of the conveyer belt sushi restaurant chain I've been to before (just no conveyer and the fish was MUCH fresher) The Nigiri was some of the best Nigiri I've had in the IE, maybe LA. Super fresh, and unlimited with the AYCE. We also each ordered a roll and had a hard time finishing them because of just how massive they were. Like other All You Can Eat spots, they charge $2 per uneaten piece - although I don't recall getting charged anything for the 3 pieces we left on the plate. To be honest, I think they just do that to prevent people from having massive amounts of waste, which I understand. I also had a beer and this incredible Yuzu Saki. We had a phenomenal time and can't wait to come back soon!

An absolute hidden gem in Upland! I have been to so many AYCE sushi restaurants throughout LA and IE, and this one is THE BEST!! A MUST TRY!! Every single nigiri sushi was so fresh and full of flavor. The salmon and yuzu yellowtail nigiri were by far our favorites! The rolls were also great and unique combinations. Their appetizers (butterfly shrimp and poke nachos) also tasted very fresh and a nice palate cleanser after devouring so much sushi (the spicy edamame is TOO spicy lol) We were seriously blown away by all of the sushi options and the quality of the sushi! It was hard to believe that this is all AYCE. We left NO leftovers. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was only $29 a person for AYCE. An amazing price for the quality and the options that they offer. The inside is spacious, full of great decor, and the ambiance is very welcoming and modern. I loved how there are plenty of booth areas large enough to fit four people each. You order all on the tablet and the food is quickly brought to the table. Our servers were all great and brought everything we needed to us quickly. Located inside a shopping center, there is plenty of parking.

First time coming here for the all you can eat lunch special.. For $28.99 it's a pretty amazing deal.. They have a large selection to choose from and everything was so fresh! The lunch special is Monday - Friday till 4pm.. I couldn't say one thing was better than others, everything was pretty consistent. We were immediately greeted by the staff, friendly and quickly seated.. Everything on their menu is digital and easy to read.. This establishment has only been here for 5 months and has a very new industrial look. Clean and modern and the vibe is very chill. You owe yourself to give this place a try if you're a sushi aficionado!

This place is a good AYCE sushi! Went for dinner and we got cheaper choice of dinner AYCE and it already included sashimis with 1pp order limit which is fine because everything else in the menu is AYCE anyways. Quality was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious, service was great, restaurant had a nice ambiance, everything was perfect! ..But starting from now, I'm only going to give 5 stars to sushi places which good wasabi. Most AYCE places I've been to have weak wasabi. I might just bring my own from now. I really highly recommend this place. Oh and they also have tablets on their tables for ordering.

This is definitely the best ayce sushi place in the area hands down!!! The one suggestion i have is that I wish they had a kids menu because I have 2 children that do not eat sushi. For the kids, I have no choice but to order the bento box for them which is about $20 and they can't eat half of it. Other than the kids menu, the quality of their sushi is amazing. The rice to fish ratio is perfect. I like how you can order from the tablet and the food comes out pretty quickly even when the restaurant is at full capacity. My favorite items are the carpaccio, hand rolls and the Sashimi nachos.

An AYCE menu that finally is worth its price point for the quality and care of its ingredients. Z sushi delivers on its promises while also ensuring great service and ambiance for the perfect lunch or dinner experience for the family.

We went to Z Sushi on a weekday night and there was plenty of seating and parking outside. We liked the ambiance and decorations inside and appreciated having the tablet to order for AYCE. Our server was really nice, he was attentive and checked in to make sure we weren't having issues with ordering. There were barely any pauses during the dinner, sushi was being pumped out and all of them were very fresh. I appreciated the rice to fish ratio, for an AYCE, it's very generous to use a smaller amount of rice so we can try more items on the menu. The handrolls were excellent. Some of the sauced sashimis had almost a Spanish flair/flavor with a lot of smokiness, pepper, and a little bit of spice, it was really good. Overall we were quite impressed by the variety of foods you can order, the quality of the fish, and the speedy great service. Thanks Z Sushi!
