First time coming here for the all you can eat lunch special.. For $28.99 it's a pretty amazing deal.. They have a large selection to choose from and everything was so fresh! The lunch special is Monday - Friday till 4pm.. I couldn't say one thing was better than others, everything was pretty consistent. We were immediately greeted by the staff, friendly and quickly seated.. Everything on their menu is digital and easy to read.. This establishment has only been here for 5 months and has a very new industrial look. Clean and modern and the vibe is very chill. You owe yourself to give this place a try if you're a sushi aficionado!

This place is a good AYCE sushi! Went for dinner and we got cheaper choice of dinner AYCE and it already included sashimis with 1pp order limit which is fine because everything else in the menu is AYCE anyways. Quality was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious, service was great, restaurant had a nice ambiance, everything was perfect! ..But starting from now, I'm only going to give 5 stars to sushi places which good wasabi. Most AYCE places I've been to have weak wasabi. I might just bring my own from now. I really highly recommend this place. Oh and they also have tablets on their tables for ordering.

This is definitely the best ayce sushi place in the area hands down!!! The one suggestion i have is that I wish they had a kids menu because I have 2 children that do not eat sushi. For the kids, I have no choice but to order the bento box for them which is about $20 and they can't eat half of it. Other than the kids menu, the quality of their sushi is amazing. The rice to fish ratio is perfect. I like how you can order from the tablet and the food comes out pretty quickly even when the restaurant is at full capacity. My favorite items are the carpaccio, hand rolls and the Sashimi nachos.

We revisited less than a week later because we were craving sushi & wanted to try their premium option for dinner. All you can eat sushi, carpaccio & sashimi with high quality is such an amazing deal. Even the ratio of rice in the nigiri is great. Service was attentive as well. We're already planning our next visit. :)

It started with a reservation phone call. The person who answered the phone just asked for the time, date, and name. No phone number needed. We also did not need the reservation. The restaurant was quite barren when we entered. Nicely adorned with Japanese decor, we sat in the middle of the restaurant. Our waiter explained that they offered a premium AYCE for $47.99 which offered unlimited sashimi and carpaccio. We opted for the regular AYCE as we were in a sushi mood. Ordering was relatively simple with the tablet, and we could order every ten minutes. The only annoying thing was the constant pinging from everyone's orders. The majority of the menu was albacore based. Albacore, known as "white tuna", is the canned tuna one finds in stores. We skipped on all the albacore options and were left with some hand rolls, rolls, and appetizers. The spicy tuna was pretty decent in taste and quantity. The spice wasn't outlandish and the hand rolls were actually rolls versus the cone shape. The salmon collar was also delicious, although it was deep fried instead of the grilled. There were many critiques though. The "wagyu" wasn't truly wagyu and just beef. The amaebi was not sweet shrimp. The Cajun tuna seemed to be seared and then sliced and was seriously lacking in Cajun flavor; usually the fish is sliced, placed on the roll, garnished. And then seared so the flavor is absorbed. Their Cajun tuna was served cold. The unagi also seemed overcooked. Given that they are newly opened, there are some quick fixes which need attention before they can truly shine.

Found in the same parking lot as Whole Foods and CVS. We were a party of 2. Did the AYCE $38.99. I got full fast. I thought their sushi was fresh. The garlic edamame was different. It had a garlic goo all over it. Only 1 waiter on a Monday night. Spacious inside. I would come back but with a bigger group. Also wish they would give a fountain drink for free with the AYCE price.

Awesome all-you-can-it sushi place. Everything was awesome and fresh. I liked the service. 10/10 experience overall.

We were looking for a new sushi place to try out and decided to try Z Sushi. it is borderline Claremont and Upland on Baseline. Good location. Nice decor. Good food. Clean restaurant. Good staff.

Did not like the sushi . They don't have a baked salmon . Also the Spicy edame was not good. The service and the ambiance is really good but I'm not a big fan of the sushi .

This is a great spot in the Whole Foods shopping center where Mod Pizza used to be. Super clean, lots of seating options, large menu, and great service. Ordering is done on a tablet, but custom orders are super easy with your server. We will definitely be back. This was a great addition to this center! We also noticed some great M-F lunch specials as well that we can't wait to check out.

My wife and I were looking for a new place to try out and this came up. We came in during lunch time but it was the MLK holiday so we had to pay the full dinner price of $38 for AYCE. Looking at the Lunch menu, they seem to have great deals priced at $17.99 (have to check it out next time) First is that the place looked very inviting, clean and organized. Service was generally fast. The selection for AYCE was decent with various rolls, appetizers, sushi, and carpaccio (limited order) . Rice to fish ratio was great on the sushi and rolls. The rice less rolls were also per generous in size. There were some rolls that I think had too much sauce that over powered the first, but I guess we could have asked to be lighter on the sauce. Overall good value

It was OK. They are not my favorite spot, but they just opened. I gotta give them a little bit of leeway; it's still the beginning. But, it was a good price, good location, good service so I'll definitely try it again.

Nigiri options

Came here for all-you-can-eat sushi and left genuinely impressed. Even during lunch, the menu offered a wide variety of rolls, nigiri, and hot items, but dinner really takes it to the next level with excellent sashimi options that are fresh, clean-cut, and generously portioned. The fish quality stood out immediately--bright, flavorful, and never fishy--while the rice was perfectly balanced and never overpacked. Service was another highlight. Food came out faster than expected for an AYCE spot, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. The pacing allowed us to fully enjoy each round, which isn't always the case at all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. Pricing felt more than fair for both the quality and quantity, especially considering the sashimi included at dinner. The space itself is open, modern, and spacious, making it comfortable even when busy. It's very comparable to Show Sushi in San Dimas, particularly when it comes to the nigiri and sashimi quality. Weekday lunch is an excellent value, but dinner is absolutely worth it if you want the full experience. Easily one of the best AYCE sushi spots in the Claremont/Upland area, and a must-visit for sushi and sashimi lovers. Update: I tried for dinner! Carpaccio is amazing!

I was on a solo date with moi. Love to dine with self always! Staff was very welcoming upon entry. Service was top-notch throughout the evening. I went all out on my dining experience. I couldn't resist, but to order the best sushi rolls, sushi + ramen bowls, and iced green tea. Let's just say I was hungry LOL. Everything was amazing! Seaweed salad was the best I've ever had. Between the two sushi rolls, I enjoyed the Carribean Roll more. I think it was the sweet onion that put it over the top. TASTY! Chirashi Bowl had fresh fishes in good cuts. YUM! Ramen Bowl had savory broth and tender chashu pork with all my favorite toppings. DELISH! Refreshing Iced Green Tea was in a large glass. YAY! I dined liked a queen. I would do it again. Of course, I had to pack the leftovers to-go plus order some to-go for my daughters. Overall dining experience was wonderful. Definitely would come back again. If you haven't tried Kazama Sushi, add it to your list to try. Kaiba (La Verne) exceeded all expectations! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen & 3 Gyoza ($15.99 - Lunch…read moreSpecial). It's spectacular! The noodles are firm, springy, and fresh. Its broth is rich, creamy, and savory. Every bite felt like heaven. (Important Note: Currently, there's a Yelp Check-In Promotion! Free Ice Cream, Soda, or Hot Tea for one in-person Check-In.) I arrived at Kaiba (La Verne) on Saturday (around 1:45PM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious & big. Service felt professional, accommodating, and welcoming. My server (Jayden) worked hard. Jayden maintained a bright cheery demeanor; Jayden was very attentive & quickly assisted me; and Jayden always worked non-stop in the background. My food arrived around 6 minutes and 15 seconds. Very fast!! As mentioned, I found happiness in my meal. This Tonkotsu Ramen felt memorable and special. Its egg is silky, falling apart effortlessly as it hits the tongue. Its chasu is charred, tender, and thick. The broth is creamy and rich. And most importantly, the noodles are bountiful and springy. I felt all my stress seep away with each euphoric bite. In addition, the Gyoza tasted fresh and crisp. Its filling came juicy, and I reveled how each bite left a light crunch. And the Green Tea Ice Cream (Complimentary with Yelp Check-In Promotion) tasted chill, smooth, and refreshing. All in all, the value and quality of this meal felt unmatched. Concerning ambiance, Kaiba (La Verne) felt a little sporadic. It's clean, spacious, and well-ventilated. However, its appearance is a little ugly since folded plastic bags and boxes are sprawled outside in plain view. Still, I appreciated the food photos on the wall. Kaiba (La Verne) also has utility. I appreciated the flat screen TV; it plays the football game. Also, I observed a high-chair for kids, so this location is family friendly. The location also felt spacious with its high ceiling. Overall, I had a lovely, magical experience at Kaiba (La Verne). I am very excited that the hype is genuine. I left full and happy. If you love ramen, this is an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5. I have never had an issue with the chicken having squishy parts or being tough. This is my go-to spot, and the portion is very filling! I got the customizable plate with a rice base, chicken katsu, Japanese curry, house salad, and macaroni salad. I also got a side of extra sauce in a big cup and an order of fried tofu that also came with a side and I picked Japanese curry again. It was a lot of food and came up to 30 dollars, which is ok because it can last me about 2 to 3 meals since the chicken katsu came with two fillets!! To start off, the rice was so fresh which is not something I see a lot at quick service restaurants so I was very happy about that. Next, the chicken was super juicy and crispy at the same time. I also liked that the chicken didn't have any hard or squishy parts, like a lot of other places that sell katsu chicken do. Curry was the best part and it was extremely flavorful. Lastly, the place is super cute and cozy. Staff was welcoming, and would be a nice spot for a quick lunch. Overall totally loved it and will be going back often.
