My friend who got the thicker sauce didn't quite enjoy it as much. I got one of the more standard sauces and it was good to me. I do wish the tonkatsu were slightly larger (either that or the plate made it feel slightly undersized), however, with the soba I left the meal feeling full. The salad dressing for the radish is on the table so be sure to use it! Finally the soba was quite tasty with just a bit of spice. A nice way to end the meal. For under $30 I found it to be a great fall/winter comfort food. Definitely worth a stop in if you are missing Japan.

The menu is still simple: a small selection of Korean spicy tofu stews along with dishes like Bibimbap that pale in comparison. We always order #1 & #3. Soon Tofu ($17.50) with beef, mussel, shrimp for me; kimchi, beef, pork for her. Following the individually-portioned banchan, boiling red cauldrons loaded with silky tofu arrived hot out the kitchen and we quickly cracked an egg in to cook raw. Soup broth was rich savoury seasoning plus adjustable heat. Unfortunately the Bibimbap ($19.50) only came in one level of spice in the sauce, which was a level of heat that was too spicy for our child to enjoy. We noticed the prices were raised recently. The purple rice bottom accompanying the Soon Tofu makes for a good after-meal rice soup for which I enjoy having with the refillable banchan. What I discovered is that the place has Bong Bong, which is a nostalgic grape juice with grape pieces, and it's good that this drink exists because I do care about kids having suitable drinks besides water. Normally, my sister prefers Japanese cut over Korean, but the place got a victory in the sense of having the sauce better than some spot in Santa Clara I can't remember now.
