The food here is great! The salmon is SUPER fresh and they don't skimp on it. We also ordered the beef, which was tasty, just didn't wow us like the salmon did. Like other poke places, there's set signature favorites you can choose from or if you prefer you can customize your own bowl or wrap. We chose the Classic Salmon signature poke bowl on rice along with the limited time Wasabi Tuna that comes with Kale Noodles. Salmon bowl has generous chunks of salmon and loaded with signature toppings. You can select your own sauce along with quantity. I chose light sauce but recommend medium or more sauce next time cause it seemed a bit dry with all the toppings added. Kale was a bit dry too. Wasabi Tuna was a good choice too especially paired with kale noodles which made it not only healthy but very refreshing. You are looking at price ranges between $12-15 each meal or more if you want to add additional toppings. Pretty comparable with other poke places around the city. Been here a couple times for lunch and both times got the Build Your Own Salmon Bowl. Both times I ordered through the Ritual app and it was ready as soon as I got there. However, the second time they forgot to add the salmon... lol. Luckily I work close by so I just took it back and they added extra salmon for the hassle. They have a large selection of ingredients which are all fresh, you can add as many sauces as you like and the portion size is big enough to fill you up. Price is average for poke. Upon entering the store, the staff give you a warm welcome, and almost instantly someone asks if it's your first time and hands you a smaller menu. The menu is straight forward and simple, really easy to use. The staff are very patient with me as it was my first time trying and I was very curious, answering all of my questions! They offer 6 preset signatures with various proteins (salmon, tuna, chicken, beef, even a veggie option!) with different veggie combinations and sauces. If you don't like any of their presets, they have an option to roll your own burrito! But I strongly suggest trying one of their signatures first, just to get a feel of their awesome food. You can also adjust your sauce level and add as many sauces as you'd like to your burrito or Poké bowl. The atmosphere is very inviting and pleasing, the decor is rustic, yet modern. They have several tables and seats. Everything is kept very clean as any restaurant should be, especially when you can see the food being made in front of you. The burrito I got was the regular wasabi tuna burrito, which was suggested by one of the staff due to its popularity. Looking at the ingredients I would have never thought of it working, but everything ties so well together. You have a little bit of sweetness from the tamago(sweet omelette) and the red peppers, with a little kick of wasabi from the wasabi mayo and a nice crunch from the lotus chips. The tuna and avocado was very fresh, very enjoyable. For the sushi burrito, I was so surprised to try out a rice and seaweed wrap that rolls all the delicious ingredients all into one. I tried out one of their popular signatures, the Teri Shrimp burrito! Even though I ordered the regular size, the burrito portion turned out to be huge. Half of a burrito was already incredibly filling for me with all the veggies and toppings they rolled inside, so I think it can definitely be shared between 2 people too. Teri Shrimp burrito was densely packed with 3 large pieces of fried tempura shrimps (6 pieces if order large), cabbage, carrots, cucumber, corn, edamame, and kani salad; then sprinkled with tempura bites and their special teriyaki mayo sauce. The roll had a really well mixed of softness from the seaweed and nice, and nice crunch from the tempura shrimp and veggies. Their teriyaki mayo sauce is definitely my favourite, I asked for extra extra sauce because it's so good! The burrito can get a little messy when eating towards the end. It was a neat experience to try out Sushi Burrito for the first time, and a really really stomach-filling lunch overall. I decided to order from Rolltation using ritual for a quick dinner. I remember really liking this place when it first opened, but having it again the quality fell short. I made my own bowl since I didn't really like the combinations offered, and some of the items were a little questionable. I got the purple sweet potato, which tasted like it was being soaked in water for too long, I got avocado (for an extra $1.50) and literally got 3 slices lol, and essentially half my bowl was seaweed salad. read more

This is a go-to for me for late dinner when half the restaurants are closed. Ingredients are fresh, they're in Ritual so I can order on the way over, and they have all the options listed pretty much all the time. I usually now go for a custom poké bowl, but the few times I started out with a predetermined burrito it was already great. The combinations are tasty and portions are generous, and nothing doesn't really go together. It's usually tuna or salmon for me mainly out of principal that it's sushi, but the tofu is not bad for something lighter and more salad-like. There was a time where a friend picked up the new skewered chicken as his protein - it was dry and no good. We will stick with the more traditional sushi choices. What I love to add are the purple potatoes, tangerine or mango, tobiko, and lotus chips. This gives flavour, tangy freshness, texture and a good crunch to polish it all off. My bowl very much becomes a deconstructed maki roll that's been personalized, with no seaweed (sorry, not nori). I like that everything is clearly labeled, and prices are laid out logically for you to follow. The shop is well kept and well lit which is reassuring given the raw items on their menu. read more

Last week, there was a person passing out flyers for Rolltation around Bloor and Yonge. The flyer entitled the recipient to 1 free signature burrito/poke/salad for free. Decided to stop by for lunch with a coworker today. Surrounded by wood and metal pipe décor, it gave off this retro vibe. There were several tables and seats on one side of the store. Upon stepping into the shop, there was a very enthusiastic greeting. The employees behind the counter were very welcoming, they asked if this was the first visit and guided the patrons to the correct spot. They handed a copy of their menu which was quite easy to navigate through. The order is made at the back of the store, the food is assembled through the counter and makes it's way back to the cashier which is at the front of the shop. Tried a sushi burrito for the very first time and it was quite overwhelming. It was a gigantic sushi roll, filled with various toppings. The Classic Salmon had creamy avocado, sweet corn, juicy tangerine, wasabi tobiko, lots of kale and more. It sounds like an interesting combination but everything worked well together. It was sweet and savory but still had a bit of kick. Afraid the sriracha mayo would be too spicy, substituted with the unagi sauce which they were more than delighted to. One sushi burrito was pretty filling and at that price, wouldn't have expected anything less. The burrito was a little messy to eat, as it starting falling apart near the end also the seaweed became kind of soggy and started to lose its shape. Next time, might try a poke instead, maybe. Overall, had a very positive and pleasant experience. If there was ever a craving for a sushi burrito or poke, this will be the place to visit but it would be a splurge and considered a treat. read more

Super disappointed in our experience at this location. My husband and I have been going to the one on Dundas for about a year or so, and have always loved everything about it. When we were hungry and walking down Yonge yesterday, we were super happy to see another location, and popped in for what we assumed would be a similar good experience. We were really unhappy. First of all, when we arrived it was around 5pm on a Monday, and there were about 3 or 4 patrons eating. No one else was in line ahead of us, or behind us. My husband made his order, and then I made mine - however, I knew I wanted to ask for a couple of changes to what normally goes on the roll I was ordering. As I'm waiting by the counter for the person who was loading them up to get to mine so I could let her know my preferences, the guy that was working kept signalling over to my husband and I that he wanted us to check out while they were making it. My husband and I both indicated to him that we would be right down to pay - but he kept waving us down. No one else was in line behind us. No one else had come into the store. There was really absolutely no reason to rush. So, my husband goes over and the guy asks him if they are separate or together. He answers that they will be together, and that we'll be paying in just a second. (And I was going to be the one paying, so hounding my husband about it wasn't going to get anywhere.) The woman is now about to start my roll, so I'm trying to get her attention to let her know what I want and what I don't, but the man behind the register keeps waving us down, saying he will ring us through now. Like...he really won't stop rushing us, and making sure that we will pay RIGHT THEN. I pop over to the register, and say I'll be paying in a second, as soon as my roll is done, and go to walk back over to where the woman is now preparing mine. He says, he can just ring me up right now, and hands me the debit machine. So I really have no choice but to complete my transaction RIGHT THEN. And as I'm doing so, all the stuff that I don't want on my roll goes into my roll. There is still no one else in line, and no one new has walked in. My husband and I are feeling really frustrated, because we've been rushed around to pay for no particular reason, and now I cannot eat my roll because there's a ton of stuff on it that I did not want, but was unable to communicate because the guy would NOT lay off of us. We sit down, I try a bite, and sure enough, I cannot eat it. I now am trying to think of what I can make to eat when I get home, and pretty pissed that I just paid like $11 for something that's just going in the trash. The other thing that would have only been a minor annoyance not worthy of a bad review, but since nearly everything else about this visit was a disaster, it's going to get included - is that the music was BLASTING in there. Like it was louder than most pubs on a Saturday night in there - just absurd levels of volume. We sat down so my husband could eat, (his roll was fine, although he had asked for "extra" level sauce, and there wasn't nearly as much on there as he normally gets when we go to the Dundas location) and we were trying to have a conversation, but neither of us could hear the other very well, and so he ate half of his roll as quickly as he could, we left. We will NEVER be returning to the Yonge street location, and frankly there's other places to get a sushi burrito in the city now, so we'll be trying them. It was the best thing I've ever tasted. It just goes to show that good tasting food can also be good for your health. I was thrilled upon first biting into a sushi burrito. I got one of those perfect bites that beautifully balance all the ingredients and delight the taste buddies. Having tried most of the burritos I'd say the Teri shrimp (tempura) is my favorite, followed by the salmon. There are probably 10-15 different things that go into each burrito, it's pretty big. It's also so much healthier than much quick fare as there are plenty of veggies in the finished roll. It seems expensive at first but it's worth it as it's quite filling. For around 15 dollars you can get a burrito and a drink. I sometimes eat only half and finish it an hour or two later (but it's better to eat all at once if you got tempura). The restaurant is quite attractive and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying a sushi burrito if you haven't yet had the pleasure. read more

I am a huge fan of sushi and sashimi, so I'm super perplexed and interested in trying different integrations and interpretations of the ingredients; things like poke bolls, so sushi burritos are no different! The menu was a little overwhelming with "build your own" options for bowls and burritos, I chose to play it safe and just get the regular sized salmon burrito. Just an FYI - the regular is massive and even for big eaters such as myself, I could barely finish it. With the glass panelling, you can see the entire process of your sushi burrito being made, as you ask for certain toppings and dressing. The whole operation is extremely efficient, and from order to eating took tops, 7 minutes. As for the burrito itself; no complaints! I thought the rice had a great texture, and I was glad to find that the seaweed wasn't too soggy or chewy, allowing for a great bite each and every time. There was a sufficient amount of salmon and toppings to go with it, so each bite was substantial.
