Chibap is a Korean restaurant specializing in Chi Bap and Korean Fried Chicken (KFC). They use white meat boneless chicken. They also serve some other Korean food like Tteokbokki and Octopus Balls. The soft opening was 2023-04-11 and grand opening will be 2023-04-15. During the grand opening (2023-04-15 & 16), the first 100 customers get a BOGO Chibap (buy one Chibap and get another Chibap of your choice free). Their first location is in Thornhill. This is their second location, near Spadina Ave and Queen St W. The interior decoration is minimalist. There is indoor dining with 7 small tables and 2 chairs each. The menu is similar to the Thornhill location except they have an extra Chi Bap: Grilled Chicken Bowl. In the near future, they will be introducing chicken wings. We ordered the following: 1. Honey Happiness Chibap ($16.95). 2. Yang-Nyeom ($16.95). 3. Crispy Fries ($7.95). 4. Cheese Fries ($9.95). 5. Bottled Water ($2.00). 6. Coke ($2.00). The portion sizes of the chicken dishes are quite large, so the $16.95 prices are justified. The Chibap was delicious due to the mixture of tastes of the chicken and rice, along with their sauce and sesame seeds. I absolutely loved the Yang-Nyeom. It is like mildly spicy chicken tenders, crispy and flavourful on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The Cheese Fries was also good. They use powdered cheese to coat the fries. Trivia: The owner of Chibap also owns Hoki-Poke. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is paid neighbourhood street parking, but it is hard to find. Review 2023-084

Located at Yonge/Spadina, South West corner, beside chatime. I was looking for new places to try there and was so excited to see Korean fried chicken, since the street is filled with ramen/noodles, sushi, and BBT. I ordered takeout which I sort of regretted because my food was borderline cold by the time I got home, and I watched 2 folks dining in get a lot of attention & care by the chef. I ordered 4 items: 1. Croquette 2. Mandu 3. Beef bulgogi bowl 4. Yang-nyeom chibap The mandu and bulgogi were for a family member. The yangnyeom I thought was a teensy bit too sweet, but I loved that the whole dish was served in such a huge portion, enough for me to stretch it to my next day lunch. It was well worth $20. The croquette was also large, but wasn't as flavourful as I'd hoped it'd be. Their chicken is all served boneless. Lots of Korean fried chicken spots charge extra to go boneless, and it often costs more than this place, so I was overall really satisfied with what I got. Service for ordering was average, but I'll have to return and see if dine in is different. Great music taste. Thank you!

The restaurant transported me to Korea with their interiors and Korean music videos being played inside. I would recommend their dumplings. They were so savory and the taste exploded in my mouth. The chicken was so tender and best ordered with cheese. The Tteok-bokki in spicy sauce was filling and worth it. Their rice bowl came with purple rice and complemented the chicken. Overall, I would recommend this Korean fried chicken place near Osgood station.

    Fried chicken! Yum!

I like this place. The portions are large, the price is not too bad, and the fried chicken is great. The purple rice is a big plus too.
