I have to say this place is by far one of the best Korean fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life. We got the gangnam style chicken a little sweet and spicy for 8 pieces it is 27.12 a bit pricey. Also if you order takeout you can sit there and eat but we still elate there but they said next time if you order takeout you can't sit in there and eat. The chicken was so crispy but so juicy. The sauce was really good had a good acidity to it, next time if I come I'm gonna get the spicy one. The decor is very nice and very clean place, I could probably eat a whole bucket of this chicken but next time I'll probably get it spicy. I would say it is one the top ten best fried chicken in Toronto. I wanna try their tbbeooki I think that's how you spell it lol. It's we have all these fried chicken spots in Markham.
Food is OK. but service I doubt. Just wondering, how much is the cost for a small pack of pickled radish. This was not the first time happened to me. Most of the time, they will take away the pickled radish and claimed that it was inside the bag. Last night, we picked up an order as usual , double check with staff about pickled radish inside, he replied ' YES'. But, what happened this time, we had 3 orders, store only put 2 pickled radish. Bb.q Chicken is THE place to go for Korean Fried Chicken in the area. I've tried the Fry, Mymy Chicken, and Kore Chicken, and this is my favourite one so far. The restaurant is very spacious with booth and table seats. There is a button by your table to request a server, so you don't need to try and flag one down for 10 minutes. The servers are also pretty friendly but won't check on you unless you ring the bell. Parking is hard because you have to park on the side of the road, but theres also an indoor parking lot behind the building. The bone-jn chicken is crisp, juicy, and flavourful. My favs have to be the Cheesling and the Secret Sauce Chicken, but I'll be trying every flavour eventually. The chicken is well-coated in the sauce/powder. Even the boneless chicken, which you would expect to be drier and not as good as the bone-in chicken, was just as juicy, crispy, and delicious! The boneless chicken and fries deal is super great if you want to try the fries as well. If you order a side of fries alone, they are quite generous with the portion and I'm never able to finish it. I always order the Cheesling Fries since I'm a cheese fanatic, and they haven't missed one time. If you are looking for some GOOD KFC, this is the place to go! Korean Fried Chicken over Popeyes for me any day!
Like this Korean fried chicken place, a lot! Moist and tender chicken, not just the dark but also surprisingly good with the white meat. Good batter crunchiness. Every bite I took was loaded with great flavor. We ordered the Original, the Secret Sauced, and the Black Pepper. Rich flavor with not much aftertaste as you might usually find in similar fried chicken places. Good portion at a reasonable price point. Need to highlight their balls - the Assorted Cheese Balls. Haha! Assortment of sweet potato, cheese, and chocolate filling. 2pcs each flavor (6pcs per order). Super-duper hot. Be careful with them, my friends. Don't get burnt, safety first. I know, so tempting to pop them in your mouth right away. Fries with Spicy Mayo Dip was equally good. Recommended. If you have room, try this out and definitely with their Korean imported Soju, or with just a couple of beers. Wash it down.... OMG... ah... so good. Now go food comma! Good place to dine and catch-up with friends. K-pop songs and videos to keep you awake. Tasty food with friendly servers at an okay price these days. What else can you ask for? Come here next time when you want Korean. It's pretty decent. Street parking is super limited. There are a couple of spots at the back if you are lucky. Lots of underground parking space. Just go down the ramp and it's free. No gate, no ticket validation, nothing. Very easy. Just feel like a hamster going through a maze to come back up and find the restaurant entrance.
Came here to pick up chicken months ago, but this time, we decided to try it again dine-in. We were quickly seated and provided the menu. Once we chose what we wanted, we rang the bell and a server came and took our order. Our food took a little bit of time to get to us because it was very busy dine-in and take-out, but once the food was there, it was hot and fresh. Definitely coming back for the delicious boneless chicken!!
Been to this location twice now. Most recently with my gf who was finally freed from covid recovery prison lol. There's maybe like 4-5 street parking slots available. Otherwise you gotta park nearby at the theater or in the Terre Rouge parking lot (next to the merry-go carousel). It's a very famous korean fried chicken chain. They offer so much flexibility on their menu. You can get sautéed or fried chicken. You can choose wings, boneless or bone-in chicken. And you can go half and half on your orders if you want to try different flavors. There's just so much customization at this KFC place. For a chain, you might think the quality is slightly lowered. Not the case here. The chicken is super crispy, plump, juicy and sauced so well. The rosé tteokbokki is one of the best tteokbokki my gf and I have ever had. The sauce reminded me of butter chicken but had the consistency of pasta sauce?! So it felt like I was eating a really hearty pasta. There was just so much umami in that tteokbokki. I've tried the secret sauced (yangnyeom basically), golden fried, gangnam style and galbi Q. They all taste phenomenal. What's also unique is that boneless here is not popcorn chicken style like Home of Hot Taste, My-My or Mr. Chimaek. Boneless here means large chicken chunks that have been deboned. So that was interesting. I might actually prefer boneless here over bone-in now that I think about it. Tough call. All they're missing on the menu is literally padak flavor (green onion on top with honey mustard sauce). Nevertheless, for korean fried chicken this place leaps right into my top tier alongside Mr. Chimaek, My-My and Home of Hot Taste. It might just leapfrog Home of Hot Taste (if you're just judging fried chicken) tbh. I'll definitely come back to go through the other unique flavors on their menu (gangjeong and cheesling I'm looking at you guys).

Price - $$$ Foods ordered: fries (with garlic mayo dip), 1.2lbs cheeseling fries (cheese dusted wings), special sauce (8 pieces), soy garlic (8 pieces) Pros: - big portions and filling - the meat were juicy and tender - the cheeseling wings were flavourful but not overly cheesy - the soy garlic wings was sweet with a hint of spicyness Cons: - ambience: dim, no contrast between walls, flooring and tables/chairs - all dark - staff attendance: mostly at the back, even with customers bseated. It would be better if they had 1-2 staff overseeing the dining area at all times, instead of the customers having to ring the bell for their attention. Called them a few times to get water. Also took them awhile to fix the TV. Overall: 3.5/5. I would go back more for the food, not the service.
I love BBQ chicken! I had been getting takeouts from the yonge and Major MacKenzie location and now so excited that this Markham location is open for dine in! Management is responsive! I were able to contact them via their Google business listing and they even able to make a reservation for my party of 2. Parking is limited aside from street and condo's parking but there are also other options within 5 minutes walking distance. The restaurant is spacious and the vibe is good. Love the decor. Modern and clean. Menu has more choices than the takeout location I frequent. It is nice to able to order different varieties... but Fried chicken is a must order! Crispy skin, juicy meat, extra spicy sauce (hot spicy) = I am in love! The cheesling chicken wings were so good too with a hint of sweetness for my non spicy dinner mate. There are soju, beers (bottle and on tap) which is a must when eating KFC. I am so looking forward to be back again and again to BBQ chicken.
Location/Service This place is located in the heart of downtown Markham, by the strip of plazas under the condos. There is underground parking available in the condo complex and limited street parking. COVID protocols in place, with employees wearing masks while working. Pretty bright and standard interior with a few seating arrangement available when I went. The place itself isn't generally big - so good idea to order as takeout. Online takeout experience was straight forward and seamless - they even called me to notify my order was ready for pick up. Quite appreciative of that. Food Wasn't super duper hungry so I only tried their "Secret Sauced Chicken" (~$21). Not exactly sure what was in the sauce, but it's super tasty! The fried chicken quantity and portion was well enough to feed 1 person. I like how it's glazed with this sweet sauce that's not spicy, but it had a nice colouring and a little hint of spiciness - really complimented well with the chicken. The meat itself was still juicy and tender - not dry. Each order also comes with the sour white radish appetizer - it help balanced out the setup of the meal. Obviously, if you wanted - adding in a beer would make the perfect meal. If I recall, they also had TVs in the restaurant - so I can definitely see this place be very suitable for gatherings and sport game watching. Glad to see a new Korean Fried Chicken place around the neighbourhood and so accessible by residents around!
The chicken was good. Gold and crispy. We also ordered the secret fries, which is fries with sweet and spicy sauce and Japanese mayo. The spicy cold noodle is so good! But a little bit too spicy for me. We waited long for the food to come, servers are busy for the whole time. I would say it's a very chill place to hangout, have some chicken and beer. Would recommend!
A friend of mine had invited me for dinner at bb.q Chicken and I had no idea what to expect but I really enjoyed it! We started with an order of Deep Fried Cheese Balls in three flavours - Original, Sweet Potato, and Chocolate. These were like little croquettes that oozed yumminess when bit into. It's hard to choose a favourite because they were all good! We ended up sharing an order of their Wings of Fire. Our server warned us that they were hot! They arrived looking quite deliciously sauced in Korean red chlli. They were really good, with a nice flavour, and hot, but not unbearably so. Delicious! Kudos to our server, who was very cheerful and attentive. Great job, yummy food! Thank you, Jennifer!
Really good Korean fried chicken place! Lots of different flavours to choose from. My fav is the Galbi Q Wings, it has so much flavour and a smoky taste to it too. Also tried their Rose Ttebokki and really liked it - not spicy but creamy. Atmosphere is great to hang out with friends. Service was quick and attentive as well.

Been to this bbq Chicken a few times, and with large groups each time celebrating birthdays. The restaurant is very accommodating, and made sure we are being well taken care of. Really appreciate it! The chickens are delicious here, and you can get them boneless, wings, or meaty thighs. There are spicy and non-spicy options, so good for kids. Honey garlic flavour is usually my go-to, and I enjoy the thighs very much. The meat is juicy, meaty and very flavourful. Spicy rice cakes, cheesey corn on sizzling plate and kimchi fried rice are also popular items :) read more

Overall, the meal wasn't bad. We ordered takeout and got the galbi fried chicken, gangnam style fried chicken and so-dukk. Staff was friendly, I ordered ahead online and when we arrived for the pick up, we still had to wait 15mins for our order to finish. Small resto, not too many tables but nice and clean. The chicken wasnt bad, only that there was no distinct flavour between the 2 fried chickens I got. They both tasted the same. Had a nice sweet sauce on it. The only thing was that the batter was thin so the sauce made the chicken a little soggy, which was a slight turn off. The so-dukk was a bit on the dry side, the rice cakes were over fried and chewy. Also seemed like they just used regular hot dogs. There was very little sauce in it so it wasnt that great to eat. Not sure if we'll return to try the rest of the menu as this was a bit disappointing for the price. read more

Excellent service, amazing food and best of all, cheap! The egg rice and chicken dish is under 20$ and is suuuuper filling! The place is always packed being in downtown Markham and near a cineplex. Highly recommend going there 20-30 mins early. They also offer a Tower for Soju and Beer. read more

Korean fried chicken | LLBO to come March 2022 | Take Out | Closed Tuesdays Covid protocols in place Currently has a great alcohol menu with beer, wine, soju and towers but not available till hopefully March 2022 Interior: Very clean and newly renovated. I still remember the old restaurant design that used to be here. This is definitely all different. Service: Amazing. Very kind and caring servers. They'd apologize when they forget part of my orders and such. There was a guest that came in to order take out and both times she entered the restaurant she had no mask on. Although she was far from me, I did feel a bit uncomfortable. Wished the swerved has reminded the guest to please wear her mask Food: The radish was yummy and great sour level. I've had their other location at Yonge/Finch area and the chicken temperature, texture and flavouring is just as good. Crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The Cheeseling Fries were surprisingly good! There are definitely different levels of seasoning. I did wish the fries were a fried a bit longer to have a harder crispier fry. The Crunch Prawn Sticks were fresh and hot. Didn't feel like they're just premade frozen shrimp sticks at all. We chose Garlic Mayo as our dipping sauce and it was so good. The Honey Garlic Chicken was nice and juicy. Sauce was perfect. The Gangjeong Wings were also good but the dry seasoning could be tossed a bit more. I felt that it only covered the top pieces. Korean Soy Grilled Chicken Over Rice Great flavours and nice portion. I did wish that they would offer real utensils instead of plastic ones. There were times where I struggled to get a fork in the meat. Overall I'd definitely return to try more items off their menu and of course their beers and soju! read more

Scroll down for TLDR version. Went here for a quick bite with friends before watching a movie at Markham VIP. Out of all the other bb.q chicken places, this is my least favourite location. I remember when my cousin introduced me to bb.q chicken inside the Hmart on Yonge st. After the first bite, I was in love so I was so excited when they had a location near me. SERVICE/ AMBIANCE: For dine in, servers were nice and friendly and there was a button on the table you could press for service. In regardless to decor, it is cute and nice. They have some exposed brick and some led lighting and which I liked. FOOD: I've given this place a couple tries now, both in store and take out and it was just alright. One thing I really like about bb.q chicken is that across all their locations their boneless chicken is amazing. Despite being boneless, it's not random unknown chicken bits being molded together to make your chicken but it's real pieces of chicken that has been deboned. It makes for a really flavourful piece of meat that I throughly enjoy. For this visit, I ordered the secret sauce boneless chicken and the honey garlic boneless chicken. The secret sauce chicken was nice, crispy and saucy. However the sauce in itself did not pack much heat. Moving on to the disappointing dish of which was the honey garlic chicken. I've gotten the honey garlic a couple times now as I thought maybe the previous times I got it, it was not good due to it being take out. However, even with dine in, this honey garlic chicken was just disappointing. The boneless chicken seemed to have absorbed most of the sauce but yet it was still dry in some areas. Unlike the secret sauce chicken which had excess sauce found on the parchment paper, there was barely any with the honey garlic chicken. To top it off, it was not that flavourful. On a separate occasion I've also ordered their rose tteokbokki and once again, it was just rather mediocre in taste. I would come back here if I was in the area and really craved Korean fried chicken but it's not a place I would go out of my way to get. We decided to try the Korean chicken craze. What was so different from the regular you ask? Well these come in bone-in, boneless and wings. They're covered in a crispy coating and fried, then doused in your choice of sauce. I got the boneless in their "secret" sauce which was somewhat sweet and a bit spicy. It was garlicky and I felt like it had a bean fermented paste taste to it so I'm not sure how to describe it. The chicken comes out super hot so be careful! Boneless chicken is the thighs and though fried, they still managed to keep them quite juicy if you like juicy chicken. For sides, I had their fries which looked crispy from the coating, but somehow ended up soft? I prefer more crispy to be honest. Everything came out super hot and fresh. The other meal that we got was their garlic soy wings. The wings were huge but when you have huge wings, they're often fatty which I don't enjoy too much. The sauce was delicious though. For sides, we tried the salad which doesn't come with dressing? However that was ok since we took a bite of chicken and salad together to give it some taste. Unfortunately the leaves were a bit wilted and. It as fresh as the chicken and fries. The biggest reason why I may not return was that a lady came in with her dog (not a service) dog to pick up her food and staff were ok with this. Isn't that a health and safety thing? This place is one of the best Korean fried chicken places in Toronto! I love ordering from here and it's so convenient they have a online ordering system. I ordered the boneless chicken combo mix in the flavours cheesling and secret sauce. Both are so crunchy and tasty ! The reason I give this less a star is because this is my second time now ordering from here and still have the same issue: the last time the store just opened and I had placed an order for pick up for 7:00pm and my food ended up being done by 6:45pm and was told I was to pick up at 6:45 and it's already been 15mins sitting there left for it to be cold as it's near the door. I showed the staff my order and time that says on my online receipt through my email, she apologized, but didn't do anything and still gave me my cold order. Yesterday night, I again placed another order through their website and ordering system. The food was already sitting there but my status on the phone still said "we're preparing" and an ETA of being completed at 8:45pm. I showed up early at 8:30pm and my order was already once again sitting there left to be cold. By the time I ate, it was mediocre warm. read more

Really love the chicken here, I'm so surprised how everything is so crispy even if it's sauced It's a mystery how they do it! I just love both the cheesling and the padak flavours, I highly recommend them both! The place is clean and bright, plus just right next to one of my favorite Taiwanese tea places (Come Buy). I am so happy they opened up the restaurant in downtown Markham. I used to go to the Hmart location on Yonge in Richmond Hill to order take out. There is so much more variety at the restaurant and can sit to enjoy the food while it was cooked fresh. I first tried out the cheese balls in assorted flavour. $11 for 6 assorted balls or $10 for 6 same flavour . They had the sweet potato, chocolate, original. They were delicious. My kids requested we have dinner here. We ordered the poutine, the cheese chicken wing and their original chicken wings. Very fresh food and tasty. Will come again to try other flavour. Parking: we parked on the street but there are parking around near by and can walk over. read more
Very crispy and juicy korean fried chicken. Lots of flavours and variety to choose from - wings, bone in, boneless. Has items on the menu not always offered at the usual kfc spots such as rosé dukkbokki (rice cakes). Would recommend trying out their boneless chicken in addition to their fried chicken over rice. read more
bb.q Chicken just opened up today, just north of the Downtown Markham complex, in the space formerly occupied by APM Dim Sum. The restaurant is fairly sizeable with plenty of seating including for small groups of people. Like other bb.q Chicken establishments, this location sells many of the same well-loved Korean fried chicken flavours such as golden fried, soy garlic, secret sauces (sweet/spicy), honey garlic, Cheeseling, hot spicy, red chak-chak, gagnam, gangeong, galbi Q, and mala hot chicken. They also sell salads, chicken burger sandwiches, chicken over rice (Jamaican flavour also available!), cheese buldak, wings, flavoured fries, prawn fries, cheese balls, tteokbokki, chicken noodle soup, and chicken oatmeal (?!; apparently like a variation on samgyetang but with oatmeal instead of rice). Soju (once liquor license secured) will be available in multiple flavours, as will beer (bottles and on tap), and soft drinks. For takeout, one can get the 2 in 1 Box Chicken: mix and match any two flavours of chicken (bone in or boneless) or wings for $36-$42 (essentially discounted by $2 as compared with purchasing separately). I ordered a half pound of boneless soy garlic chicken ($22) for takeout. It was still crispy when I got home with a delicious glaze of garlicky sauce. So good! Limited street parking is available in front of the restaurant. There is also parking available behind the storefront in the attached underground condominium parking garage. One could also park near the small parking lot adjacent to the carousel, or walk a few minutes from the parking lots at the Downtown Markham complex. They are still in their soft opening, and some things like seating cushions for the dine in booths, as well as liquor licenses, are still being worked out. No doubt we will be giving lots of business to this location which is dangerously close to home! read more
Tried this kfc place in downtown markham. Ordered the 2 in 1 box. Regular and chak chak flavours. Chak chak was very tasty. Right amount of spice and flavour,while still being able to taste the original flavour. You have to pay $1 extra for the flavours. But buying a 2 in 1 box is $38, saving $2. Parking is not exactly the greatest in this area of the restaurant and hard to get to due to the inability to u-turn. But a great addition to downtown markham, as I don't need to go far to get my KFC fix. Also can order online. read more
3.5 stars. Ordered their half bone in half boneless chicken. Got soy garlic and gangjeong. My go to Korean fried chicken is usually soy garlic but wish this one had a bit more spice. Gangjeong was really nice tho - good mix of sweetness and spice. I'd get that flavor again. Overall, pretty good fried chicken. Comes nicely packaged as well. Would come back and also try some of their snack side dishes as well. read more
This place recently opened in Downtown Markham, there are both dine-in and take-out options. I ordered take-out using their website. It was very easy to navigate and although the restaurant provides an estimated time, the page updated when my order was ready for pick-up. Pro tip: Leave the confirmation page open after you order so that you can see when it changes to 'order ready for pick up' so your food stays hot and fresh! Sometimes they will also give you a call if they're not busy. I got their bb.q combo, you can choose between wings (7 pieces) or boneless chicken (5 pieces) and pick a side and dipping sauce. I definitely recommend the soy garlic flavour. The combo is a little more on the pricey side, $15 before tax, but I would recommend it if you're craving Korean Fried Chicken and you're in the area! read more
I tried so many places and finally found the 1! It's not super oily, very juicy, flavour is on point, and the best part is my stomach don't complain the next day! Honey soy is my favourite and the boneless is definitely the way to go ! read more

Orded the 3/4lbs chicken wings combo $18, cheesling favs, it's perfectly cooked, juicy and crispy. They gave you a lot of fried on the side. I guess the portion is well enough for 2 people if they are small eaters. Great vibes and friendly services. I'm not enough the secret sauce but it is too sweet (for me). read more

Excited to find out they opened a bb.q chicken after recently watching Crash landing on you. Overall everything we ordered was really good. We ordered the original chicken and it was very crispy, delicious. Their assorted cheese balls were like deep fried mochi with cheese and chocolate fillings, delicious. Love their cheesling fries, super cheesy and crispy. Maybe they are new, but the staffs are very unorganized, lack in service. I got the attention of one lady hoping to get napkins as they only provide 1 tiny napkin per customer initially (more napkins are needed while eating stuff like fried chicken) she looked at me then quickly brought her attention to people entering and never revisit me for what I needed. read more
