Pretty good spot, though not quite the better happier choice. - Classic Fried: Got these as tenders. The meat was juicy and nicely crisped. Size was a bit small though. - Bburinkle: Great sweet-sharp cheese, generous coating. Really tiny wings though. - Charcoal Wrap Sandwich: This was disappointing as the bulgogi was bland and the wrap was a bit hard. Place is well laid out and clean. Prices are ok-ish. Service is perfunctory. While not my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in the city, it's an ok spot if you're in the mood for chicken at the well.

I have dined in three times now and this place has nice seating area available separate from the Wellington market food court. The service is a little slow but the menu offers some readily good food at reasonable prices. We tried the boneless chicken strips and poutine and were 100% satisfied on the quality and taste of my food. The Poutine here is so far my personal favourite.

We came here after hearing how good it is. Was honestly disappointed. The chicken tastes unlike any other Korean fried chickens. It is crispy but it's lacking some flavours. They also over did the cheese seasoning, to the point where my food tasted really sweet. The service was ok. It took us some time to decide what we wanted as it was our first time. Felt rushed by the server as she stopped by 2-3 times within 10 minutes. Another thing was she sat us in a small table, where to the point after we got our food, it felt super cowered. There were a lot of tables open during that time. The portion itself was really small. It's also kind of ridiculous that this is the only kfc place that requires you to pay for the radish, as they always come for free in other places too. The clam chowder soup and the poutine was pretty disappointing. DEFINITELY don't order the poutine. Super small portion, tastes like Costco food court but worst. The atmosphere itself was ok. It's an open concept in the restaurant. Nothing too unusual. Wouldn't come back for it since there's better options out there.

Tried the $20 for 10 pieces of boneless thighs, and it was perfect for sharing with friends! It didn't come with any dipping sauces (unless I missed them by accident?), but I did like that although I bought it four hours in advance of dinner and reheated it in the oven, the chicken was perfectly crispy and not oily at all. I'll definitely be back. Also pro tip: if you have a dog, you can order takeout without tying them up outside, since this place has the cashier on the edge of the restaurant. Nice!

The taste is all there, but stars are lost because of portion size and value. I tried this place for lunch with some coworkers and we had no issues getting a seat. We ordered the cheese balls, spicy tteokbokki, 8 bburinkle wings, 8 gold king wings, and 10 macho king boneless thighs. We all had a different favourite for the chicken, with my personal favourite being the bburinkle (I love the flavour of the sweet cheese seasoning). The cheese balls were sooo good (similar taste to the seasoning used in the bburinkle), I'd definitely recommend as everyone in our table loved them. I was surprised when the tteokbokki came because the sauce it came in looked very liquidy... but the taste was pretty standard to what you'd expect. Their service was fine, though I feel there were times we had to ask for things like a water refill and radish (which didn't come until we were midway through eating our chicken). But once told, they were quick to serve. The restaurant atmosphere is open and spacious. While the food tasted great and the chicken was nicely crisp and juicy, the chicken pieces were too small for the amount they're priced at. In my opinion they need to do something about their portion sizes to stay competitive and give people a reason to return. It was nice to try and definitely yummy but until their value is worth it, I wouldn't come back.

My bestfriend really wanted to try BHC Chicken at The Well because it was something that she enjoyed when she went to Korea. The area has a nice aesthetic look to it but it was pretty cramped - mind you we also went on a Saturday evening. We got lucky because we got a table right before the dinner rush came because about 30 mins after, the lineup became very long. It was a while before someone took our order. As for the food, we got the party combo since there was 6 of us and I have to say it was enough food for everyone. The chicken powder was pretty good, and we even had the chicken pizza but it was really just boneless tenders with tomato sauce, arugula and cheese on top. The cheese balls were soooooooooo good though, I would definitely go back just to order those again.

This restaurant wins the award for the worst restaurant we tried in Toronto. We ordered the 8 piece wings and I've honestly never seen such small chicken wings. What kind of chickens are they using?? Thank goodness they had a BOGO deal going on for their Bburinkle items, otherwise we would've left starving. The bburinkle seasoning was a bit overpowering, not a fan. The cheese balls look delicious on the menu but were unimpressive. Tasted like mozzarella sticks with the, again, overpowering bburinkle powder. This would've been a 1 star review if it wasn't for the friendly server and the BOGO deal.

I had lunch today at BHC Chicken in the Well. I ordered 8 chicken tenders (Classic Fried - BHC's original Korean fried chicken) figuring I would take some home for supper ... and I am. They were big and juicy with a bit of a kick in the batter. At $14 for 8, it's a good deal considering the size and quality. Definitely my go-to when I eat at the Well. My server was friendly and helpful.

I was excited to go here since I've been to the BHC location in Seoul. I had a great experience there, and had high hopes for the Toronto location. It was busy (as to be expected) and I decided to get takeout rather than dine in. I had to wait approximately 30 min. If dining in, I think you can still order at the counter, but you have to line up to get a table. The interior is pretty aesthetic but it does seem a bit cramped. We got two sets of wings(4 pieces each) and the bburinkle cheese balls (5 pieces). The wings we got gold king and bburinkle. The wings were $9($8 + $1 extra because of the seasoning). The wings were so small but flavour was decent. The flavour is similar to what I had in Seoul. The bburinkle cheese ball is good too, it's like a mochi soft cheese ball that's slightly sweet. Similar to what I remembered in Seoul. Overall, I think the flavour is somewhat consistent but the portion was what threw me off. You can check the menu photos I included. It's crazy that there's no whole chicken. I haven't tried the boneless chicken thigh, it looks like there would be more quantity wise but it still seems small compared to what I got in Seoul. Finally it's also ridiculous that they charge for radish, it's usually complimentary at most Korean fried chicken spore ($2-3 is too much). Overall, I think this spot doesn't live up to the franchises in Korea. Although flavour is there, quantity and price value doesn't match. Most likely won't visit again, as Toronto has other Korean fried chicken options.

I'm such a huge fan of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) that's why I'm so excited that BHC (aka 'Better Happier Choice') has now opened their first location in Canada. BHC is one of the most popular fried chicken chains in Korea and October 17th is their first launch to the public. Went for a takeout and their process was very disorganized. Took me more than 30 mins just to order considering I'm the 5th person in line. Once you're in front of the line it takes another 10 mins before the cashier takes your order. Then it took another 25 mins before I got my order. So in total I have waited more than 1 hr for a mediocre food. Currently they are only offering chicken cuts in the form of tenders, wings and boneless thighs. They don't even do a mix of different cuts which sucks big time. Wanted to try the Bburinkle flavour since this is their bestselling chicken flavour. It is made of cheese powder and is milky and sweet at the same time. I didn't find the chicken crispy and crunchy enough. It has an overwhelming and heavy taste. For an additional 2 bucks you can try their Bburing sauce which is a lemon yougurt sauce. Dipping the Bburinkle flavoured chicken in the Bburing sauce didn't even complement each other as it made it even more sweeter. I didn't really enjoy this combination and left an off taste in my mouth. The only consolation you get here is you get free Bburing fries with your order if you have the coupon. But even though it's free it's not something that I would buy again. Ordered their Spicy Tteokbokki and again was way too sweet for my liking. Their prices don't also seem reasonable and on the higher range. The chicken pieces are so tiny and on the thinner side that 4 pcs for 8 bucks doesn't even justify their prices. I love Korean food and always eat them but this is the first time that I have eaten almost all food that is cloyingly sweet. So disappointed in BHC Chicken and for sure won't return and won't recommend this place.

A unique Korean flavour to their chicken, but honestly nothing special. We got the renders of the original and spicy sauce. Also had the rice cakes that are not pictured here. Atmosphere was nice, service was ok. Think there are better spots for Korean fried chicken in the city tbh. Definitely worth a try though!

Went here with my friends to celebrate her birthday. Employees were great even though it was busy, they agreed to store our birthday cake in the fridge. The fries and the chicken were amazing! Atmosphere was cozy since we came in late night.

Upon entering, the mix of greens, woods, and spacious seating was very inviting. However, the service was just decent. Now, let's talk about the food. I was disappointed with the size of the chicken wings compared to other places I've been to. The fries were okay but lacked a punch in flavour. As for the wings, I tried the BBQ bases, KBBQ, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. Despite being advertised with a bit of 'heat,' I could hardly taste any. The dipping sauce was also quite runny compared to the thicker consistency I prefer. Overall, I was a bit let down after all the hype on social media. Many say the U.S. locations are better. The soft opening was 2022-11-17 and grand opening will be on 2022-11-26. On grand opening day, the first 100 customers will get a 6-piece wing combo (worth $14.99). There were 4 of us for dinner. We ordered the following (combos come with fries and a drink). Most wings come with a choice of 2 flavours (except the Tenders only have 1 flavour choice) ranging from not spicy up to 5 flames. 1. Tenders Combo ($12.99) with Honey Garlic. 2. Classic Wings Combo ($14.99) with Spicy Korean Q and Hawaiian. 3. Boneless Wings Combo ($14.99) with Hickory Smoked BBQ and Lemon Pepper. 4. Mixed Wings Combo ($14.99) with Mango Habanero and Louisiana Rub. 5. Cajun Fried Corn ($6.99). 6. Triple Chunk Brownie ($2.99) x 2. With the 4 combos, we chose the following fries and drinks: - Fries: regular, Cajun, parmesan, voodoo. - Drinks: Iced Tea, Root Beer, Fanta x 2. The wings are regular-sized, not the larger buffalo-sized. All the flavours we chose were delicious. We were surprised that the fries were full-sized with the combo, not a smaller amount that I would expect with a combo. I loved the voodoo fries. The 4 combos were more than enough for 4 of us; we had to take home the equivalent of 2 fries and 2 Brownies. The corn was nice - I could have eaten a lot more! I heated a Brownie in a microwave and it was delicious. The staff is so courteous and helpful. There is plenty of indoor seating. The restaurant is clean. The interior is tastefully decorated. I like the lit-up circular centerpiece saying "Danforth". There is no free WiFi (but there will be in the future). The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms but they are not wheelchair accessible. There are high chairs for young kids. There is paid and free neighbourhood parking. Review 2022-128
