    Uni shooters
    Nerrissa S.

Came in on a Thursday night with friends and stayed almost two hours enjoying the intimate ambiance, conversation and delicious fresh cuts of fish. We tried the uni shooters, had a few rolls including fried crab and a 49er roll (my fave) and it was so good! The sashimi portions were also thiccc and generous. Attentive service, ease to order in tablet, and the food came at an excellent pace! Will be back.

Always a solid spot! Easy go to in the neighborhood, quick and delicious. They have some great deals as well! Never dined inside but as for sushi takeout, it's always been good to me. Can't say I've had a stand out dish but I can't say I've had a bad one either. Give it a shot and yelp me know.

Got a bunch of different items. The Fired Cracker aka Crispy Rice and Takoyaki were good. The Philadelphia Roll and Skewers were not good. The roll had fish that felt older and more fishy. The skewers were not flavorful and could have at least used some salt. Seaweed salad was a big portion even if there were mixed greens underneath it. Overall a decent sushi spot but not a place I'd be itching to go back to.

Yoshi Sushi is a great late-night sushi spot! They offer happy hour pricing starting at 9 PM, making it an excellent value. The service was fast, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the sushi was fresh and delicious.

Love having a spot where I can get a solid chirashi don. The sashimi slices were fresh and literally melted in the mouth. The ratio of sashimi to sushi rice is also very good. Service was also on point, and my food came out with little to no wait. Plenty of parking around the restaurant, and I literally didn't have to wait for a parking spot. Definitely would go back!

Ordered sushi from here through DoorDash for delivery. There was a special for BOGO on the takoyaki. I also ordered a few nigiri pieces, a hotel California roll, and a dinosaur roll. All of the food was packaged really well and looked delicious. They provided chopsticks and soy sauce packets in the delivery bag as well. The Takoyaki was about $10-11. The nigiri was about $10 for two pieces, which I thought was on the pricey side. The cost of the rolls were more in line with other restaurants, around $15. Everything tasted very good and probably next time I'll go to the restaurant to eat.

My new favorite sushi spot! If you're a salmon lover like me they have so many good options for you!! My favorite had to be either the mango crunch roll or the salmon skin roll. Next time I will be trying that salmon lovers roll! I also really liked their garlic edamame, it was almost buttery. I also really appreciated the servers there since they provided great service. And honestly really talking to get to know you. Inside is a little small so I don't recommend coming in with a party of 6+. But overall one of my new favorite sushi spots!

This was recommended by a friend and I really liked it Menu is what you expect for a standard Bay area sushi place. The lunch special sushi are a great value for the basics. Did not try bento but it looked good. Exotic roll section was solid and diverse, lots of avocado inclusion as well which was unique Service was fast and direct. In some areas, you can see them actually making the sushi Ambiance is nice. Restaurant is well designed with chefs in the center, bar space on one side and tables on the other. Tables probably can't take over 6 people

It was our grandma's birthday and thought of bringing her somewhere but plans changed. Instead of eating out, we just ordered from here as a takeout. It was a cute little place and a nice bar when I picked up the food. It was just starting to get busy. The service was fast and the staff were nice. We got the Ramen, Agedashi tofu, beef teriyaki plate, chicken teriyaki plate, chicken karraage and hotel California roll. I forgot to take pictures. Sorry. I tasted everything so how long how they were. The beef teriyaki plate and Hotel California roll were good. But they could improve on the teriyaki for me. They need to put more sauce. My husband got the chicken teriyaki and that's what he said lol The Ramen was also good. I love their to go bowl, cause the broth was actually separated from the noodles. There was a divider, and it was my first time seeing this time of bowl for takeout . It's really a brilliant idea. However, the karaage was too dry for me. They looked and tasted overcooked. Anyways, the price is reasonable and the parking is good as well. Plenty of space. 3.5 stars for me.

I could honestly eat sushi for every meal, and Yoshi Sushi in Milpitas makes that way too easy. Their late‑night happy hour is a daily temptation -- fresh cuts, generous portions, and flavors that hit every time. Everything comes out tasting clean, bright, and delicious, and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Whether it's a quick bite or a full spread, this spot never disappoints. A solid go‑to for late‑night sushi cravings.

    - Lots of parking available via a shared parking lot - Good for groups of all sizes (from one person to larger groups). Booths and high tables available - Good for kids as they have fish the kids can watch - Food was okay - obvious emphasis on the fusion as it was not Japanese at all - The restaurant wasn't too loud - we came at a good time when it was fairly quiet

I haven't been inside this restaurant myself, but I've ordered from them several times on DoorDash. I tried their Lion King Roll and Hotel California Roll, and both were absolutely delicious. Even though takeout doesn't have the same freshness as dining in, the sashimi was still tender, flavorful, and free of any fishy taste. The salmon's rich flavor combined with the chewy sushi rice completely satisfied my hunger for the whole day. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but the food is truly tasty and worth recommending!

All the other places that I have eaten for quick sushi fixes pale in comparison due to several factors - fish seems not as fresh, fish portion is small, prices are higher and not a bang for your buck. The rolls here are great and their chefs nigiri sets always hit and are on point.

Review long overdue!…read more Sen Dai Sushi is easily one of my favorite sushi spots in the South Bay. I've been coming here for a long time, and it's one of those places that consistently hits the spot whenever I'm craving good sushi. The In The Sea Roll is a must-order and definitely one of my favorites on the menu. Great combination of flavors and textures, and it's something I find myself ordering every time I visit. Another thing I really appreciate about Sen Dai is their selection. They're one of the few sushi spots around the area that serves umimasu (ocean trout). The flavor profile is like toro. If you see it available, definitely give it a try. It's a nice change from the usual fish options. And if you're feeling something new, ask about their off-menu item: inari nigiri topped with spicy tuna. The sweetness of the inari paired with the spicy tuna is such a good combination. Definitely worth asking for if you want to try something a little different. Overall, Sen Dai is a spot I'm always happy to come back to. Great selection, some unique options you don't see everywhere, and consistently satisfying sushi. If you're in the South Bay and looking for a new sushi spot to try, definitely add Sen Dai to your list!

And I've tried a fair share of omakase places. The prix fixe 9 course meal was $150 per person, and I personally feel the quality of the ingredients and overall seasoning of the dishes did not meet that price point. It was already a rough start with the appetizers. I'm also a texture person so maybe someone else would like these but I was not a fan of the vegetable jelly nor the goopy seaweed salad. Had I known this prior to dining I don't think I would have wanted to go with the omakase menu. The chawanmushi was very underseasoned and missing salt completely. On the menu it says it has crab in it but the only crab meat you get with it comes in a tiny claw that you have no way of digging out The nigiri, which I was most excited for, fell VERY flat. The fish wasn't particularly fresh and I found a bone in my nigiri. (??) The rice was also really dry and mushy. I was genuinely so disappointed at this. Miso sea bass was overly sweet which didn't really work with how fatty the fish was. It was too much. Also found more bones in the miso sea bass but that's less gobsmacking than finding it in your nigiri. The dessert, matcha tiramisu, just tasted like straight up cream and not sweet at all. I don't have a sweet tooth by any means but this could've used sugar. I didn't feel very good eating this, the fattiness of the cream plus not having any flavor ruined it for me :( Overall, the main theme is just the lack of seasoning in any of the dishes plus ingredients not being fresh. I know it's Kaiseki style, but the dishes also seemed very uninspired and plating was kinda messy. When I looked closely, the plates weren't clean and there were marks.. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but at a price point like this, the details matter. Word of advice, if you live in South Bay and want omakase, just take your $ and drive an hour up to SF. My bf took me here to celebrate our anniversary and I feel awful about how bad it was.. +1 star for the friendly service.
