Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

Friendly small business and offer water or a beverage while you wait in line to purchase fish. It's a side of the road stand and everyone is so friendly. Immediately we were greeted by the workers and kindly informed about trying out some free samples of the poke of our choice. Whoever worked today they were on their best game, multitasking the samples for us while creating a bowl for someone else. All friendly smiles and warm personalities, which is always great to see and definitely the aloha spirit!! Now on to the important stuff: The poke. I gotta say it was probably one of the best ones in California and I've tried quite a bit. Pretty darn close to the authentic stuff in Hawaii but still delicious! Everything was flavorful, bold, and a great blend of flavors. I had the Furikake bomb Ahi and Spicy Ahi Tropical Style and it definitely hit the spot. Now the base of a bowl is $14.25 with just poke and rice, so if you want all the fixings it's an additional charge. Going for the Tropical style added $4.50 bringing it to $18.75 before tax. A tad pricey but if you can afford it, definitely would recommend for the explosion of flavor. But if you want to eat it the good Ole fashion Hawaiian way, just poke and rice would be cherry, garunz barbarunz!! Highly recommend this place if you get a poke craving, and I hope to come back very soon when my craving hits!

The salmon is so fatty and fresh and they are super generous with the portions. The ahi is also super fresh and is a good balance with the salmon. Each scoop of fish has their own sauces and honestly they're all pretty good. I have never tried any of their other bowls, but I think the fresh poke is definitely the star of the show.

We had an amazing experience at Mikuni and we're all still thinking about the sushi rolls (I only took some photos of the foods, the other items the rest of our table ordered looked amazing). Overall restaurant is super nice and pretty and the decoration is great. I do think the parking lot is overflowed with how much traffic is there but, worth the wait. The menu was huge with lots of pictures and options. They put a thing of water at the table, which I appreciated. We both got the Chinese beer, and we both ordered lamb. He got the farmhouse lamb, it was like a stirfry lamb with onions and bell pepper in medium spicy. For medium it wasn't too spicy and it was nice and savory. I ordered a chef special, Lamb Slices with Enoki Mushrooms, mild. Although one dish was medium, and the other mild, they both felt about the same spiciness and I really feel it's because the lamb slices with mushrooms was like a hot pot and so the chili was spicier in here since it was brewing in the broth. The lamb slices with mushrooms was also very savory. The broth was very umami and opaque not thin at all. It also had glass noodles at the bottom of the dish. Tons of mushroom tons of lamb. We felt like we got a good amount of food for the price. And the lamb and both dishes had that good flavor of lamb, not that cheap lamb flavor and the lamb in both was very tender and soft. We also got the pork dumplings, these were obviously made in house. The dough was homemade and the filling both tasted homemade. We each also got a side of white rice. The total before tip was $95, this was for the two lamb dishes, the appetizer, the two sides of rice, and the four beers. It's obviously a hit. We got there at a good time, but by the time we left, it was a full house. It also seems like they do a lot of deliveries. They had a decent looking bar area with wine and other alcohol, I'm not quite sure what. They had three choices of beer, corona, Heineken, and the Chinese beer that we got. I also like that they had candles out, I'm not sure if they sell these, but they were gathered at the end of the bar. They also had walnuts and dry mango that looked for sale. Looking at everybody else's tables too, all the dishes looked amazing. We're so happy that we took a chance and just tried this place out on a whim! It made for a really great date night.

Great spicy food and friendly staff. Food (10/10) - The food here is AMAZING! Perfect balance of spice to flavor and every single bite is electric. The sichuan numbing pepper in the Chongqing soup was DELICIOUS. Mix it with some of the white rice and you have a dish all by iteself. The chicken itself had a nice chew and was very fragrant. Loved the texture and flaovr of the vermicelli; nice bounce to the noodles while soaking in all the spicy soup. My one complaint would be that they have soft bones (sign of long boiling time) so be careful of that! Also got the spicy stir-fried pork kidney... don't diss it 'til you try it. Super good, with that nice bit of chew. Take a bite of pepper, kidney, and white rice and BOOM! Perfect bite. **Recommendation: Rice is a key component for the dishes here. Without rice, everything will be too spicy, too savory, and overall too overwhelming. The rice is the thing that helps tie everything together (as it frequently is) Service (8/10) - Good service; nothing notable. Nice people and I think most of them speak Mandarin. Service and seating was also fast. Order of things to come out of the kitchen was a bit strange: soup for the chicken, rice, stir-fry, chicken. Honestly, not that big of a problem but just decided to comment. Price (8/10) - The price here is a bit on the pricier side; $54 for 2 but there were some leftovers (had to make my own rice though). Some of the dishes are more worth than others. The Chonqing chicken was $25 but you got a large bowl of chicken with soup and vermicelli. On the other hand, the stir-fry for $20 was notably padded with vegetables and I would say a majority of the dish was not the kidney. At the very least, the taste of the food compensates. However, this place is likely not a college go-to. Overall, great restaurant that I will be coming back to again (maybe with my parents LOL) or at the very least, would come with a large group as it is more fitting for family style. Highly recommend!

I was happy to oblige. Fabulously attentive service. The goat cheese butter with the bread was a great start. Decadence in a bite. Then the rack of lamb with potato croquette arrived and honestly stole the whole meal -- perfectly crisp outside, creamy all the way through. The rack of lamb was cooked correctly but lacked character. Lamb should taste like lamb, and this one played it too safe. Not bad, just forgettable. The vegetables let the plate down. Overcooked Brussels sprouts and unevenly cooked sweet potato aren't what you expect at this price point. Worth the visit. That croquette alone earns it.
