Our favorite Chinese restaurant in town!!! Their fried rice is ON POINT. I'm also a fan of their tofu dishes. A lot of restaurants just don't quite know what to do with tofu and this place gets it. read more

The worst customer experience ever. We were seated right infront of the restrooms. If the restaurant didnot have space they should have probably asked us to wait. How can you put in a table and 2 chairs right infront of the mens and womens toilet? Who does that. Don't you think the entire experience would be so horrible doing that. Never going back to a place who cannot treat their customer right. read more

No one does it better. The food it AMAZING. It's totally Taiwanese and I've never had anything like it, or better. They serve classics everyone (else) can get their heads around, but if you are a foodie and love good food, you have GOT to eat here. Warning, it only has like 8 tables, so it's mostly a carry out place and SO WORTH IT. My goal is to try everything on their menu, it sooo good. Also of note are their fresh juices, they're expensive but so worth it. They juice fresh fruit right at the bar and they are seriously refreshing. They'll guide you either to something that's good for you and your particular "health" needs, or whatever you might like. The family is amazing that runs it, so nice. read more

Quality and customer service has gone done drastically! Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it tasted horrible! The chicken was not fresh at all and it was as if it had been reheated multiple times. So disappointed with the quality. Also, I placed the order using the website and received an email confirming my order but they did not indicate an estimated time of delivery. Therefore, I called to find out when my order would be delivered and after taking my name and information, she pulled up my order and said that they wouldn't be delivering it because I did not meet the $25 minimum order. I asked why then their system accepted my order and she said I could go and pick it up. They had already charged me and took my money so I decided to go pick up the order. I am beyond disappointed with their service and the quality of the food. I will not be ordering from this place again. read more

Perfect food. Family run (from China ). Caring. Humble. Gracious. They deserve 1000% more business. Worth every penny.

Best Chinese Food in Loudoun County... maybe even in Virginia!l. Been great and reliable for many years.

Took my girlfriend here for dinner and this place was very cozy and homey. Everything we ordered was great!! The owner was very hospitable. Gave us details about the menu. Hot and sour soup and crispy beef was great! Beef and green peppers were wonderful! This is the best asian fare I've had in a very long time. I will be back! :-) read more

Cannot beat it. Our regular go to for takeout or lunch specials. Everything we have tried has been utterly perfect and the service is super friendly! read more

Let me preface my review by saying that since moving to Loudoun County from Arlington back in the late 90s I had not found a good chinese sit down restaurant that both my husband and I agreed was good, so we've been carry-outers everytime we eat chinese. So we ate at Yen's for the first time for lunch today after talking about trying it for a number of months.....We were greeted and asked if this was our first time here, so I'm thinking they must have a lot of regulars and we stuck out like sore thumbs. The place is small but we got a booth and were promptly greeted. I couldnt even get through reading the menu, it's so extensive, so gave up after seeing lots of choices 4 pages in.... We got two apps, the pork dumplings and shrimp/veg. spring rolls. My husband is used to a thicker sauce that comes with the dumplings (from our neaby carryout chinese restaurant..which I refuse to eat at anymore due to some sketchy looking meat I was served) so he was kind of meh about the dumplings even though I thought both the dumplings and sauce were very flavorful. My springrolls were excellent, great flavor and not greasy. For our main courses, I got the Taiwan beef with chinese spinach in sha cha sauce, so good, great flavor and the beef was very tender. On the menu, my dish had a spicy pepper next to it, and I love spicy but I didn't really notice any heat. I overheard a couple of guys at a table near ours ordering several dishes and they kept saying, make it really spicy, so I guess I just need to speak up and say I want it "really" spicy, next time I come. My husband got the seafood delight, there was a generous portion of shrimp, crab and scallops in his dish. I ate a few of the vegetables from his dish and thought the sauce was a little salty but he liked it, so that's all that matters. I kept thinking, I could use a little something sweet after my meal and was just about to ask if they had any desserts but It was like they read my mind, and brought out that wonderfully flavorful doughnut type pastry with the custardy type filling,a great ending to a great meal....we'll definitely be back!! read more

Extremely high quality food- this is Bay Area or New York City quality Chinese food. I've had some Chinese meals in Singapore (and top Chinese restaurants in other Asian countries) that I would say were comparable. Bottom line: the food is authentic and good. If that weren't enough, the extensive tea menu (very high quality teas) differentiates the offerings from all other Chinese restaurants I've ever visited worldwide. Staff is fantastic, another differentiator. The owner would be highly successful in any of the major cities in America with large Chinese populations, people would be standing in long lines to get the food. We are privileged to have this level of quality hidden away in a small suburban strip mall in ashburn. read more

I've never had such good Chinese food in States. This is the only authentic Taiwanese-Chinese food you rarely can get in Washington Metropolitan area. I love their 'Pop-corn chicken' which is not listed on the menu. All the seafood plates are GREAT! The tempura shrimp always taste fresh and crispy. Fresh-made juice is always the blockbuster. Nice environment and especially the restroom is like a five-star hotel restroom. :-) I visit there almost every other day. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! read more

It was a very cozy restaurant with a nice decor. The price was little more priced than other Chinese restaurant in Ashburn but the food was excellent. We ordered couple off menu dishes such as Chinese meat ball and steamd steamed flounder. They were authentic Chinese style. Love them so much! The staff was very friendly. Will come back soon! read more

This is a great little Chinese cafe. The sweet and sour chicken was outstanding as was the Hunan beef. Great spring rolls. The hot and sour soup was excellent. Very fresh food. Good service too. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was completely filled; only eight table in the place. We will definitely go again. read more

The meat pot I got was huge and we enjoyed the leftovers! The General Tso's was also delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

I agree with Sandra...the food is great, great, great! The tea service is precious and my daughter and I love to go at lunch and treat ourselves. The ingredients are fresh and the recipes are unique. Each dish is prepared fresh and so be prepared to wait just a little longer. The ginger and garlic cabbage is yummy! Evidently it is a family recipe from Tibet. Atmosphere is casual and service is exceptional. read more

Yen's has wonderful food and great service. Their egg rolls are outstanding and I adore their beef and broccoli. Their fried rice is also to die for, and I would come here any day. Their service is great, and fulfills your every need. They give you small candies with your check, and if I could, I would give this place 10 stars. read more

My favorite Chinese/Taiwanese Restaurant anywhere! I'm always hesitant to eat at Chinese restaurants bc I'm not sure of the quality of the meat/food. Yen's has amazing food and the quality is great. The food isn't as greasy as a lot of places and they use premium meats and vegetables. You don't expect a lot when looking at the outside as it's just in a strip mall, but it's quite quaint inside, though will fill up on busier nights. We have two little ones, so we usually just do take out or delivery now. I'd highly recommend the crispy beef, the orange chicken, the veggie spring rolls, and the rose tea. read more

Very nice, friendly and accommodating staff, and the food was very good. We went to this small place with a birthday party of 9 adults and they were all ready for us and made sure everyone was happy. Only complaint was my eggplant was rather bland and soggy, but everyone else's looked great and they loved it. read more

The food is really good & the staff is very friendly. I had the lamb kabab, it was really good.

We tried Yen's Cafe tonight for the first time based on reviews from friends. We ordered at 5:33pm and paid $48 for 3 meals (Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken and Beef Lo Mein). It took 64 minutes to get our order. I signed the receipt and took our food to the kitchen. I looked at the receipt stapled to the bag and it had a different name, address and order on it. This was a different total from what I just signed on my other receipt, otherwise I would have noticed the difference in price. I did not open the bag and called Yen's. They apologized and said they would come back and switch the orders. A few min later, the driver came back and picked up the food and apologized (he was very nice). He did not have our order yet. I expressed our concern that the food be fresh and unopened. He said of course. At 7:10 (a long way from 5:33) they came back with our order. My husband asked about it and they assured him that it was a new, fresh order. When we opened our food, it was lukewarm at best. Very clearly NOT a new order. The food tasted ok, which is why I gave them 2 stars. Also, they messed up our son's order of Lo Mein and put in the wrong ingredients. When I originally called to tell them I was given the wrong order, I mentioned that this was the first time we were trying them and that I was frustrated. For our troubles, they gave us one can of coke and one can of diet coke. Really? It would have been nice to have been offered something for our troubles, instead of just lukewarm food. We were not impressed. Overall.... Go to Cafe Opera. Much better experience and very fast delivery IMO. read more

Best dinner in the trip. Better than I ate in Taiwan. 讚

Egg drop soup tasted nasty. I asked for chicken chow menu and got some soupy looking chicken.

This is my FAVORITE Chinese food place. The first time I was there, I asked Mrs Yen about the taste of one particular dish. She prepared it for me on the house. That is the kind of family service that brings OUR family back to this restaurant every time. The food is delicious, the service makes you feel like you are part of their family. read more

Best joint in Ashburn! Absolutely delicious and authentic. Also, this place is very cheap so my husband and I visit frequently. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. read more

We heard this was a good place with authentic Taiwanese food. Tried several dishes with a big group and they were all great! We are definitely coming back and I would recommend to try this place if you have the chance. Great service and friendly staff. read more

My husband and I have been haunting this joint since it opened over a year ago. Its a very small Taiwanese/Chinese cafe that also serves kick ass fresh smoothies & tea. They use top quality ingredients, no powders, syrups etc. Everything's natural. They even sweeten w/honey instead of refined sugar. And the tea is served w/ cute antique china. The food is top rate right down to the free handmade desserts. We eat there so much I had my baby shower there. :) read more

It's a small and cozy restaurant. Goof food and smoothies. I love it. Its Taiwanese Chines style. The dishes are very healthy and yet taste good. The Chinese teas are fabulous. read more

Went to Yens for lunch with a client of mine. Took me awhile to find the place, but eventually got there. We ordered Kung Pao chicken, which was pretty good. Pretty much standard you get at most chinese restaurants. The place was kind of small, but it led to a nice relaxing atmosphere that eventually landed me a new gig with a client! Looks like I will be back with my next client to see how that goes. read more

Tried Yen's Cafe last Friday. The environment is OK. But the food was way too little, the taste is bad too, I didn't like it at all. :( Absolutely hate it, Wouldn't recommend it! read more

It IS as good as it gets, both businesswise and foodwise. When traveling, we have a tendency to eat at off hours and it seems to allow us to interact with management and staff. Surroundings have a fast food feel, but don't let that define your eatsperience. My husband and I shared the Crispy Sesame Beef, which was beautifully presented, plentiful and so flavorful. We each had 2 servings then still had quite a bit of leftover meat. Which I downed in full a couple days later in our hotel. I don't eat much meat, but made an exception in this case. The teasets were beautiful and my jasmine teas was brewed from whole flowers which were in my pot. Very tasty and hot, which is rare for any restaurant. Eat here. read more

This place is a GEM! I was taken there for the first time for my birthday in 2014. I love Thai/Asian Fusion cuisine and I'm vegetarian. Usually I struggle to find decent veggie options in restaurants but not here! And the Teas and Juices! OH MY! I ordered a tea thinking I was getting the standard iced tea, what arrived was a tea/fresh fruit blend that blew me away! I've been back several times and every time the experience is great. The only drawback is that it is a tiny place so don't be surprised if there is a wait to eat. This isn't a fancy restaurant, don't expect a stuffy atmosphere or black tie waitstaff. It's a small family owned establishment and that makes it great. The reviewers leaving 1 star or negative reviews are stuck up yuppies expecting a fine dining experience. Ignore them. This place has great food, with friendly, family staff. read more

Don't order via the internet. I ordered at 5:19. I got to Yen's at 5:44. They could not find my order. I showed them the email order and while they were looking at my phone, the internet order came in at 5:53. 34 after I hit submit on the internet. Needless to say, I had to wait 25 minutes more for my order. Meanwhile, I was sitting next to three old ladies with no teeth that couldn't speak a lick of English. They just smiled at me. I felt like I was in some surreal Beetlejuice waiting line. read more

My husband and I have been here 3 or 4 times now, and it's always excellent. We always get the mu shu pork, it's the best. I've also had the crispy beef, chicken with snow peas, kung pao chicken, and (as I recall?) sweet and sour pork and mongolian beef. All were very good. This doesn't seem like the kind of place that SHOULD have a full bar, but it does. Always busy, and there's a good reason for that. read more

This is our Chinese spot. Its always really good, sometimes the chicken gets a tad bit dry but its also all white meat. They are always super sweet and delivery is quick. The only drawback is its definitely on the expensive side. So prepare to spend $30 for 2 orders of General Tsos with white rice. I wouldn't order this place to feed a whole family, way to much $$. read more

I have always loved Yens cafe as the food is so good and the owner is so sweet. Since I am fasting Ramadan and have not eaten all day I decided to treat myself to Yens. I would be breaking my fast at sunset 8:10 p.m. In order to make sure I gave the restaurant plenty of time to prepare my order, I decided to order at 7 p.m. I called and a guy answered the phone, from previous experience I know he doesn't have that best customer service but I choose to overlook that because their food is good. He tells me to hold on the phone and then 10 minutes later nothing so I call from my husbands phone. He answers and I tell him you forgot me on the other line. He obnoxiously just tells me what do you want. I place my order and I tell him I'd like my order by 7:30 p.m. to which he answers its not going to be ready by 7:30 p.m. I am like okay when and he says "after" I say how long he responds "40 to 45 minutes" and I'm like okay as I had time to spare. I send my husband at 7:45 p.m. to which he replies your wife cancelled the order. My husband was sitting next to me at the time I was ordering and he's like no she didn't I was there. He looks more annoyed at that time at my husband for wasting his time arguing, does not even offer a remedy and just walks away. I call the lady owner who I have dealt with, supported and liked and she did nothing to remedy the situation either, I told her I would be willing to wait 15 minutes for a new order which would take me up to sunset but she said she was so overwhelmed I have to wait 45 minutes just like everyone else which I had done in the first place! I just took my business to another restaurant they had my order ready in 20 minutes. The other restaurant were well staffed, they had a great system going on and did not have someone at the front line forgetting people on the other line or snapping at people. To the owner I was a loyal customer who always ordered from you because I appreciated your quality food. You just lost a customer that was in constant support of your business. read more

Best Chinese hands down in this area. We found Yens through a Yelp. The food is authentic and portions are large enough to share. You don't leave hungry. Moo shu pancakes are the real deal and homemade. Nothing is out of a bottle or not fresh. Downside is the restaurant space is small. Would eat there more often if they had more tables. Yens has a great thing going. Keep it up!!!! read more

This place makes great food. They don't really advertise, I lived under a mile away and only found out about them recently, but I'm very glad I did. Best General Tso's I've had in this area. If you're ordering online for delivery, you may get a phone call making sure your order is right, which is a good thing. Out of the 15+ times I've ordered from them, I only had one experience when my food was cold. Yes, that night was disappointing, but I'll chalk it up to a bad day. Still my go to sit down/delivery Chinese here in Ashburn. read more

Terrible service and even worse food. I've had a lot of great Chinese food, but this was really bad. There aren't any prices on the dinner menu and when the bill showed up it was for over $50 for just 2 people. And we only ordered one dish each and a can of Coke. The prices on the bill were printed over so you couldn't see them. read more

We have eaten here before and the food was ok so we thought we'd try delivery. After waiting for 55 minutes for the food to show up, we called to find out where it was at. The lady told us it was on its way. 20 minutes later, the food still wasn't here. We called again, and a man answered and was somewhat rude on the phone and told us it was on the way because nothing was sitting there waiting for us. The delivery driver (the only nice person we spoke with tonight) showed up about 5 minutes after that call. The food was cold so we finally just told him to take it back and cancel the order. Really disappointed that it is so hard to get delivery from a place that Google Maps shows as only being 6 minutes from my location. Not sure if we'll give them a third try. read more

Disappointed with so many good reviews. The food is just like most of the take out Chinese foods around these area.
