    44. Grilled Combo V - delicious!! I would highly recommend!

I ordered through Uber Eats and the food was amazing! The service was great! It was delivered by Richard and he delivered just perfectly! I ordered the Grilled Combo V and it was delicious! I ordered it with less noodles and it was just perfect! I will definitely be ordering from here again!

I got the combo meal($19) with a Thai tea (+$2), spring roll, and combo pho (+$3). Food came out very quickly. Drink and appetizers came out in under 5 minutes and the pho within another 5 minutes. The spring roll and Thai tea were good. Pho was solid as it was on savory side which I prefer, but it wasn't the best I've had. Meat was good. For a Vietnamese restaurant it met my expectations. Staff was super friendly! Overall a good experience worth checking out if you are craving Vietnamese food! Food(50%): 7.3 Staff/service(25%): 9.5 Value(25%): 8.0 Overall: 8.0/10

I was in the area for work and the weather was brutally cold so I felt a bowl of Pho would warm me up, the restaurant was conveniently located near my hotel with lots of free parking. Inside I found the restaurant cozy and the staff attentive. I ordered 33. Huey style beef noodle soup and seafood fried rice to go and Viet Coffee. Everything tasted very good and the seafood fried rice had large pieces of real seafood. Overall very good I would eat here again.

Whenever I am in the area, I always crave to go to this spot. Their menu has a huge range of Vietnamese food, including gluten free and vegetarian options. Each item I have gotten on the menu does not disappoint. The space is clean and pretty, while the service is always great. My go to order is the garlic basil fries, eye round pho, and salt and pepper shrimp. The fries are crispy and aromatic, every time I take my friends here, we end up ordering a second basket of fries. The broth is clean and it will always hit the spot for pho satisfaction. My favorite is the salt and pepper shrimp. The shrimp is peeled, fried crispy, and tossed with garlic, peppers, and onions. I got the pleasure to meet the owner, Thi, and his hospitality was great. He knows my orders and is always friendly to new people that I bring. The quality is the same dine in and take out, so I will be stopping by again whenever I am in the area!

The restaurant ambience and decor even gave us fond memories of restaurants visited on our 2023 trip to Paris. The tuna tartare as a shared appetizer was delicious, as were our entrees - Trout Almondine and Duck Confit. The hardest decision of the night was actually dessert, which we would normally skip, but being our anniversary and first time at the Brasserie Royale, we indulged. The "British" (in a French restaurant?) seasonal offering of Sticky Pudding was too tempting not to try. It was excellent. The service and wine selections were equally enjoyable. It was busy on a Monday evening, so reservations are recommended. Our table for two was nestled between other small tables and it was interesting to both see and get reviews of other dishes. Overheard from the table to our right were criticisms of the squash ravioli and garlic sausage entrees. However, the table to our left was effusive about the creme brulee. We will be back. (still need to work on my food photo taking, sorry - I always remember after the dish is almost gone)

While it was busy, it wasn't absolutely slammed. Our server took five minutes to initially greet us-not a massive deal. However, when we went to order, she was unsure of what we wanted. She was clearly new because she asked for us to point on the menu with what we would like. Again, not a big deal. We sat for about 25 minutes and then she told us "it will be out any minute." About 10 more minutes passed and it came out. A 35 minute ticket time for med-rare steak and a croque madam is unacceptable. In addition, she forgot to ring up a side we asked for, which took another 7-8 minutes (even though she told us it would be out in an unrealistic 2 minutes). This experience overall was really underwhelming and a disappointment to a kid-free date with my wife. The actual food was good, per usual. While we will try Brasserie again, it was a massive shame.

There there is an Olive Garden nearby so it isn't out by itself, even if it feels like it. The weather was beautiful, so we grabbed a high top in the bar area, overlooking a nice little pond behind the restaurant. The service in the bar was surprisingly good, despite the bar itself being pretty crowded and nearly every table around it being populated. The food was served quickly and they allowed us to customize to our liking (TIP: pay the nominal upcharge to replace your existing side dish to Brussels sprouts with bacon and spiced pecans! Or get it as a side to share) I had the Hickory Grilled Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes and a field greens salad, except no potatoes. The salad was amazing (it has dates in it for a sweetness to balance the sour of the dressing) and the medium rare steak was phenomenal. We each had a glass of beer -- the Pale Face Summer Wheat on draft. It is a classic German Hefeweizen and described as "malty with banana and clove flavors." I tested the banana on my first sip. It was a solid choice. The next day, we worked a 15 hour day without stopping to eat. By the time we finished, we were so tired that we agreed to return. I ordered the same steak and my coworker followed my recommendation. He agreed that this is the steak to order. (even if he ordered his more well done than mine). For the second visit, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert instead of beer with dinner. I suggest splitting the dessert. Don't get me wrong, it was fantastic, but was definitely shareable after a full steak meal.

Upon entering, I immediately saw the extent of the investment in the interior: the art on the walls, the seating, and the service all came together perfectly from the start. It is a small storefront with approximately a dozen or so tables. The feel was warm and modern. The server is assisted by a small, dedicated team. It feels very much like a family business and everyone is fully invested in the success of the establishment, answering questions promptly and ensuring customers feel taken care of. The food is HANDS DOWN THE BEST Thai I have had in the Washington DC area! I am currently looking for something going near Dulles that will bring me back, just so I have an excuse to "stop by". Lol It is really that good. We started with the crispy pork belly and curry puff. The pork belly came with a side salad that had a bright and delightfully acidic dressing that was freshly made. The pork belly had a great crisp and was not over seasoned and not bland. The chicken curry puff was one of the standouts of the meal. The pastry was shaped in a nice swirl that was aesthetically appealing. It had this croissant-like texture that simply melted in your mouth with every bite. There was this surprising, faint sweetness to it that was very nice compliment to the robustness of the curry within. The appetizers were stellar. For entrees, I got Panang curry (with chicken) and my companion got the Pad Se-Eiu (with duck and shrimp). There was a good amount of spice in both, but it was not overpowering. The curry had a flavor that was deep and complex, only to be followed by the kiss of medium spiciness to finish. The duck and shrimp added to the Pad Se-Eiu were ample. The duck in particular was a very nice portion size added to he dish. The shrimp were worth getting added, however the tails were on them. I will assume that is traditional Thai preparation and not ding them for that with everything else executed to perfection. If you are considering going to this restaurant, don't walk, RUN to get there. This place will not fly under the radar for long with their warm, personable service, their succulent menu, and their accessible location. I look forward to going back on my next trip to that side of town.
