I ordered takeout lunch today and wanted lower calorie fare. I settled on the Superfood Rolls and Chicken Larb appetizers. The superfood rolls resemble a Vietnamese summer roll with lettuce, mint, shredded carrots, cucumber, quinoa and avocado and came with a mayonnaise based dipping sauce. The Larb was finely ground white chicken in the spicy lime sauce served over lettuce with red onions, green onions and cilantro. I liked the Superfood rolls and would order them again, though the mayonnaise based sauce was not what I was hoping for. Maybe because I had summer rolls on my brain, a fish sauce based dipping sauce was what I was craving. The Larb, on the other hand, was as good as any I've ever had. It was delightfully spicy, zingy with lime, with crisp lettuce and onions it also had fantastic texture. If I have any desired change I'd ask for a bit more cilantro, but this is in the very fine adjustment category. I might order this every time. Takeout mid day was good and quick and I will definitely be back. read more

Ambience - great. Not too loud. Quiet for a Father's Day Saturday (but meant we didn't have to fight other tables for waiter attention). Very new & clean. Service - friendly. Not a super talkative server (not sure if it was a language issue) but still made sure our water was filled and everything came out Food - good Thai food was a little bit on the salty and sweet side according to both grandmas, but with some rice it wasn't bad. Sushi was good. Best part is that we can get both Thai & sushi at the same time!! Overall I'd recommend it and I'd go back to try other dishes. read more

Went here to eat with a few friends a couple of months ago and had a great experience. The lady at the front was super nice and respectful when she seated us and when she brought our food. The inside is very visually appealing and clean. The dragon roll and spring rolls were really good, and the chef gave me an extra sushi roll for free! I went back recently for an online order, and the staff and food were just as good as the first time. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area. read more

I only tried the sushi and not the Thai food. The sushi had way too much rice, each bite, my mouth was too full. None had avocado even though typically the rolls had avocado. Just felt lacking. Miso soup was too salty. I asked for a house salad, I expected a small salad similar to other sushi restaurants but it was way too big. I will say that the salad was still good, just not what I expected. The Thai iced tea was also very good. Great presentation, Decor and restaurant were very nice. I feel bad for liking this place because I am normally to sense of Thai across the Steet, but I had to try it since they offer sushi too. Location and Ambiance 5/5 - In a small shopping center but have plenty of parking spaces across from one Loudon. The restaurant it so elevated for the typical Thai restaurant. Love the high ceiling & decor and even know the place it not big i like that they don't to compact so many tables inside. Great place for happy hour, intimate setting or even to host a small party. FOOD 5/5- Som Tum Pla Ra - Laos Papaya salad $12- I was beyond happy to get a loas papaya salad, it so hard to find restaurant that will use fermented fish sauce the traditional Laos way in the Ashburn area. The papaya was fresh chop with a cruch to it. I love the spicy level savory and not your typical overly sweet Thai papaya salad. Sashimi Starter $14- I was highly impressed with how much sashimi for a starter. It was 6 piece but the pieces were HUGE!! It like 1 piece can be cut in to 3 slice of Sashimi. This area is saturated with Thai restaurants. All of them are rated pretty good. So, to see a new one open up, was a little overkill. Finn Thai has multiple locations throughout the DMV. Our favorite location is in Purcellville. We were curious about this new one across from the One Loudoun area. This location shares a parking lot with Five Guys, Big Screen(yes they are still around) and Dunkin Donuts. We came for lunch since they offer a lunch special. The specials include a small salad and an eggroll. We also love appetizers so we indulged and well.... Ordered more food. Their fried tofu app was a hefty portion. Now, I've had better but these were pretty generous in size and not too greasy($9). The salad was so tasty, they decorated it with carrots and had a light dressing. The lunch portion of my pad see ewe (spelled wrong) was again, pretty generous. I love the char of the noodles and they included a bunch of fried tofu and broccoli. Service was very good... well at 12:30p, we were the only dine in customers. Our server brought us a few take out containers because, well, we ordered lots of food. Website tip: if you order online take out there's a 15% off coupon code. Also we did not know this but if you pay cash for dine in, then you can take 8% off. The small dining room has a long bar. It's really pretty inside. It may not look like the nearby competition with the hanging floral arrangements but I do feel the food is better here. read more

Decided to try this newer Thai place in the area and this spot is pretty good! Just knocking a star off because on the drink menu the honey green tea picture is advertised as a matcha green tea not a regular green tea... there was also only one waitress for the entire place which was packed during lunch time on a weekend! I recommend replacing the picture on the menu and getting an additional staff member to assist. The beef in the panang curry was a bit too chewy. Overall the sushi, crab fried rice, and pad thai were delicious! The inside was very spacious and clean as well. read more

My spouse and I were directed when we entered to the worst seats in the house. When we objected we were told the seats were " reservations" for the benches and not for two people.The only problem was every other bench was occupied by only two people also. We left as we refuse to spend money at racist establishments. Owner of this establishment- stop the racism. you should treat all customers the same and not have seats for African Americans because you think we will accept an inferior experience. We stopped by for dinner around 5:30 on a Friday evening and luckily the place was not busy. We were promptly seated and the service was good in the beginning, but it took a rather long time to get the check when we were done. The food we ordered tasted like standard Thai food but on the expensive side. There was nothing different or unique about the flavor - although the sushi is a unique aspect, but we did not order that today. Absolutely awesome place way better than I expected for somewhere that has multiple locations. I ordered two different entrees after a heavy workout to get some major protein. First, I had a sushi dinner platter with sashimi nigiri and a California roll, in my online order notes for the pickup order, I asked for no eel please and I specified that I really like tobiko and masago. If they were able to do that though of course I didn't expect it. Lo and behold, when I picked up the order they had assembled the most beautiful sushi platter for me. I also ordered the steak and broccoli dish that comes with the spicy chili oil that you put over the steak and it was cooked to perfection, super tender and just a delicious amount of flavor and spiced to it. We had a wonderful meal at Finn Thai Ashburn. The larb gai appetizer was superb. The marinade on the chicken was flavorful with the right amount of heat. The crispy calamari has a wonderful coating & comes with a perfect dipping sauce. It's a generous portion so there is plenty to share. The Penang duck was an absolutely amazing dish. Tender duck breast was delicately fried to gave a crispy exterior and a moist tender interior, accompanied by a perfect Penang sauce & steamed broccoli. Drunken noodles are delicious and the noodles are cooked to perfection (in contrast to utterly soggy noodles we ate at other restaurants). Curries are also excellent. We have tried sushi yet- there are still so many Thai dishes we want to try. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was so attentive. This is the best Thai food in the Ashburn area. Food was amazing. Service was not. Clearly they were overwhelmed on a Friday Night with multiple large tables taking most of the attention. The decor is very interesting. We ordered Spring Rolls, Crispy Duck and Penang Curry Chicken. All were very good. If you don't like Spicey you'll need to specify this as the dishes do pack some heat. Service was ok. This was our 2nd meal at this great Thai restaurant in Ashburn. It's new, clean and nicely decorated. We ordered the tempura which was a generous portion of vegetables and shrimp. Tempura was crispy, light and tasty. We had one sushi role, also good, then the panang curry with shrimp and the papaya salad - which were outstanding. Service is very personable and friendly. Finn Thai serves a combination of authentic Thai food and Japanese sushi and sashimi. I have been now twice in the past week. The first time for Thai food and the second time for Japanese food. Although different. both were excellent. Each time I was greeted by a very sweet and welcoming woman.
