I try to get this food once a month. Growing up with a Thai mother, I can be a bit knit picky if something isn't as good as her cooking but their chicken satay and sticky rice are to die for. I'm not sure why they have a 4.1. They should least have a 4.5 or better. I did notice today they went up in price which I'm a bit sad about but with the economy not always being the best it's understandable. I just hope with the price being increased the food will be even better! Some of the best Thai food I've had, the queen that served us was so accommodating and kind. I ordered the fish cake appetizer as well as the Khao Sao Gai entree which was rich, flavorful, and fulfilling. Wanted to pickup some food with family on a Monday night and they suggested this spot for Thai food. We placed our orders online and pickup time was about 30 minutes. We came over and they seemed a little backed up because they had a lot of people picking up too. We had to wait about 15 minutes. The staff was still really nice and friendly though. The food I ordered traveled pretty well. We got some Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Mango Curry, and Steamed Thai Dumplings. The Thai Dumplings were really good. Good combination of flavors and pretty good size. The Pad Thai was good. Nothing mind blowing but pretty solid. Same goes for the Mango Curry. Came here for a quick thai food. The food wasn't bad, and they also offered lunch special (although we did go during dinner time). First of all it doesn't matter what you get on the menu, what time you go, or who's working, the food is always perfectly prepared to their very high standards. I've been eating here since they opened, I've lived in Ashburn since 2005, and Thai Deelish holds the highest spot on my list of local restaurants, it's that good. The food is exquisite, delicate, wonderful, everything you want it to be, I'm not kidding, and it's always the same. I've ordered Crispy Whole Flounder at the restaurant and I've gotten it delivered, both were excellent, both were perfect. Very disappointed!! Had an carry out at Thai Deelish today and the food was terrible . We ordered Pad Se Eew and Crispy Pork with Basil ( aka Kaprow Moo Krob ). The Pad Se Eew was super dry clump up together in messy sugary sauce, no authentic cuisine at all. Also, $17 for crispy pork with basil when there were just little pieces of pork belly on the top of steamed broccoli was RIDICULOUS!!! Taste of meal was like leftovers from the party few days ago. Try the Khao Man Gai which is an chicken and rice dish that looks plain but is bursting with flavor due to the two sauces that come with it. Really hard to find this dish at Thai restaurants in the area but you'll experience for yourself why it is so popular in Thailand! Another dish to try is Khao Moo Daeng which is Chinese BBQ pork on rice with egg. This dish comes with a moderately sweet BBQ gravy sauce as well as a wonderfully sweet and spicy dark soy sauce. First off I want to state that I am not a Thai food expert. I ordered the Pad Thai w/ beef. The sweet Flavor of the beef is what made the dish. Initially I wasn't impressed with the dish but the more I ate it the more it became quit tasty. The only problem I had with the dish is it tasted as though it had been pre prepared and sitting for a while and not made to order due to the dryness of the dish if that makes sense. I also ordered the pan fried dumplings. Those were tasty! I definitely recommend. I'm joy giving up on this place I will definitely try another dish in the future to get a fair assessment. read more

This is my newfound favorite Thai place in Northern Virginia. This place is great! The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. My water cup was never empty and they checked up on us the right amount of times. The food came out in a fair amount of time and it all tasted wonderful. We had the pad see eaw with chicken, chicken panang curry and the Tilapia fish filet, Fried and topped with a chili-garlic-basil sauce. The pad see eaw was on exceptionally good. This is the dish I always get whenever I go to thai restaurants and this one was great. Not too greasy and flavored just right. The curry was to die for and had generous amounts of chicken. The fish was flavored well, but WAS NOT crispy enough. The Side Street menu is where it's at. Granted, I haven't venture to the other parts of the menu but we haven't gone wrong with authentic Thai side street options. So far we've had Khau Soi, Beef Boat Noodle, Duck Noodle Soup and spring rolls. I chose the pork as my meat selection and let me tell you, the pork just simply melted in my mouth. The last time I had pork like that was at a ramen place in San Francisco and I have been on the hunt for it at home. I'm glad I found it! The duck noodle is soooo good too.
