The food was okay, but the portions were small and the service was horrible. To make matters worse, the noodles were overcooked and soggy. For our party of four adults and an 18-month-old toddler, they charged an 18% tip ($11.83), counting the toddler as an adult. I won't be returning to this restaurant. read more

Came here today for a to-go order and my Thai Tea was filled to the top with ice, took a few sips and it was gone.. not really worth $5 (I can get 8 cans of Bubly at Target for less money). Then I got the fried banana as I usually do and the honey looked very light in color and smelled like vinegar, I'm not sure if they changed brands or if this went bad but it was a hard pass for me. I also tried the Duck Roll for the first time and in the online photo it was cut into pieces but this was left looking like a taquito and the scallion inside it was so tough I couldn't even bite through it, plus the outside was very doughy, I can't say I'm a fan. Food was delicious! The service was great as well. We went on Saturday afternoon, I was surprised how slow the day was them but they had a ton of door dash orders so I guess it makes up for it. We ordered papaya salad, shrimp lumpia, spicy calamari and pad see ew. Portions were perfect for one person. The spicy calamari wasn't really spicy, sliced jalapeños were in it but I don't think it really added any heat. The calamari came with a subtle sweet sauce, really tasty. The papaya salad had tomatoes, green beans and peanuts so be aware if you have allergies. The main course pad see ew was delicious!! Perfect sauce, noodle cooked perfectly and enough for 2, imo. This is also a super cute place. The decor was cute and colorful. Perfect place for a group or by yourself to eat. Trendy spot to hang out with friends and eat good food. Food is good. Services are average. Be careful with the bill. They add a 20% tip automatically, presumably because we are a party more than 4, but they took my credit card without giving me an itemized bill, then returned with just the credit card signature slip, with suggested tips of 18% to 25%, did not mention that a tip was already charged. Had to wave the waiter twice to ask if a tip was already in the bill. The waiter mumbled yes without stopping, then just walked away. read more

While I was in the area I stopped in to get carry-out for dinner. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant has an interesting/homely feel inside. Their menu is pretty big and laid out nicely in many categories. I opted for some chicken KaProw, Chicken Pad See Ew, Chicken Basil Fried Rice, and Chicken Tom Yum and I have to say that it was all outstanding! The soup was one of the best I've had, the broth had a really nice, fresh, lemony flavor from the lemon grass (unfortunately, there was a couple of large piece of lemongrass stalk in the soup, but it was easy to spot and remove) and the spice level was excellent! I love Thai so I am a bit picky. Everything we had was better than I expected. Very good flavor. Good portion size. The owner took the time to speak to us about his food and restaurant. Get ready to go to sleep right after eating. -The dishes had too much grease and oil, to my liking. -The to-go containers aren't too sturdy and leak. -All my stir-fry entrees were basically containers of soup. What we ordered: '1 Pad Kana Moo Krob (Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli) 13.95 '1 Thai Famous Kaprow (minced chicken) 13.95 '1 Chicken Satay 6.95 Overall, the presence of MSG disappointed me and the fact that my stir-fry dishes were filled to the brim with liquid. Also, the quality of the meats were not all that great but it explains the price points for some of the dishes. On the plus side, they do offer special items, as well as, chef specialties. Stars are for the food. The appetizer jerky was good. It was a small portion and the sauce made the food tasty. I also ordered the pad prik king with beef. The medium spicy is pretty spicy. There was a good proportion of beef to green beans. Reason for the lackluster stars is because their service was terrible. We ordered through the online system and when we arrived to pickup they didn't have our order. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for them to make our food. All in all it took almost 45 min. No one apologized or made any consolation for the mistake. We probably won't return even though we live nearby. read more

We did takeout earlier today based on recommendations from friends. The restaurant is located in a convenient location in Lansdowne town center- one can generally find parking right in front for a quick takeout, and there is ample parking behind and near the restaurant if you're going to go in to eat. We ordered pineapple rice (with chicken, egg and shrimp), and Kaprow chicken, both of which were a hit with the kids, we ordered mild but the food was pretty spicy for my taste with a twinge of sweet. The food is priced a bit on the higher side but still affordable for an occasional takeout. We will be back in person, once the pandemic has subsided. read more

New to Leesburg and found this great Thai restaurant! First time ordering (the night before NYE) they ran out of the thick noodles for the pad see ew. Instead, they used thin noodles which isn't the end of the world. The flavor was not compromised but my husband was not a fan of the thin noodles. Bua Thai was kind to give us, on the house, an order of their drunken noodles (with the thin noodles). I didn't expect that and was pleasantly surprised - got a free lunch for the next day :) I had their duck curry and it was really good. The pad thai is one of the best I have had so far. It has Thai preserved salted radish which makes it truly authentic and tastes its best. Highly recommend making it y our next order! Great service overall! read more

Holy... YUM. I haven't felt this much of a need to review in a long long time. This food is delicious. They capture the essence of Thai food perfectly and you can tell instantly that it's fresh. The spices are the kind where you take a bite and you're like "well that's not medium spicy," but then a few seconds after you swallow you're like "OH" and frantically grab your water. Authentic, flavorful, filling. (I had the green curry with tofu and veggies and also an order of the dumplings - best dumplings btw.) And this was just delivery! Wow.
