Not our first time here, but was our first time to eat. We were shopping in the area and came in for a bite. It was a Thursday and it was busy! Friendly host sat us right away in a nice high top table; we like to sit at the bar but it was full. Our server Denise was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and made time to check in on us throughout the meal. We tasted several beers with some suggested ones by Denise and settled on the Brix City (Little Ferry brewery) Set Break, nice! I had a great valentines day dinner with my fiance. Got seated relatively soon for valentines day. I was greeted by our wonderful waiter Kevin. He let me try some ciders out before deciding on the half yard which is always a great choice! I went with the Mac n Cheese whith truffle sauce, pasta, and about 3 different mushrooms. My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner. I ordered a dish that contained an ingredient that I am allergic to and the waitress confirmed that it could be removed. After two bites, my throat and ears started to itch which is how my reactions begin. I noticed that the dish still had pieces of the allergen. They removed most of it, but did not realize it was mixed in to another part of the dish. Thankfully I had taken an allergy pill prior to leaving the house which helped keep my reaction low. When I told the staff, the general manager came over immediately. He asked if I needed medical assistance of any kind (thankfully I did not) which I thought was extremely considerate. Both the manager and the waitress were very apologetic. The general manager was extremely accommodating and turned what could have been a terrible experience in to a great one. This place is definitely worth going to! The service here is outstanding, employees here are so nice and welcoming. The food is amazing, like every time I come here I always don't know what to get because everything looks so good on the menu! But if I had to pick my favorite thing off the menu it would be the Cali Roll Stack. So so good and really filling even though it's an appetizer. I like the vibe here a lot, such as the music they play, the tvs, and the blue led lights. You also can tell the place is really clean. Just tried Yard House for the first time as it just recently opened. The set-up and flow is great, tv's that you can view from any seat in the place. So many beers on tap! I would recommend speaking to bartender or server to narrow down your choices! Great ambiance and good food! Typically I love this place. Love the food drinks and bartenders but not tonight. Came here to catch the March madness games only to find baseball game replays, and a hockey game. I had to ask them to put on the basketball game which they did but could not find the second anywhere. Then they took away the basketball game I was watching to put on a "second day" Yankees game. I couldn't get out fast enough. Going home to watch the games. So disappointing. I have been server/trainer at The Yard House, Wayne for a year and a half now. Yes I may be slightly biased but since I don't usually post reviews, I did need to say this with pride ... the restaurant team members ALL work hard to make our guests smile and leave with a highly satisfied and enjoyable experience! :). And!! ... we are super busy most days doing it lol! I might add I see many YH "regulars" come in and ask for us by name :) The vibe with the 70s and 80s classic rock music (my fave), over 100 beer selections, great variety of food options (including vegetarian and gluten free) and the cocktails make it a great day or night out! My husband said this place was his dream come true. Lots of sports watching and hundreds of beers on tap. We just grabbed drinks at the expansive bar. I ordered a margarita and my issue was that it was filled to the top ice, which meant no room for the actual drink. I find that technique a bit shady for a restaurant. read more

I'm from NY & usually go to the Yard House in Yonkers...it was super busy...as usual, service was great but food was not that great...we ordered 5 appetizers for our meals...everything came out at once which I figured they would just bring out once it was cooked...chicken nachos must have been sitting there for a while, so dry and everything was glued together...calamari was ok...spinach dip must of also been sitting there too long too, bc it was hard as well...everything else was ok as well...but most likely will never go back to jersey location....food just took way too long read more

Went here with some friends as we were visiting American Dream for the first time. 4 adults and 4 young kids. Some were avoiding meat for lent. I was still a ravenous beast of anything not nailed down. I will give the waitress the benefit of the doubt for being new. She was very pleasant and patient with us. But super slow I guess you could say. Considering the place touts it's beer selection, no joke it took us 15 mins to get our 2 flights once we ordered. At one point I got so thirsty that i ran over to the bar and tried grabbing them myself. I got quickly swat away by a perturbed bar staff. But I do think I got my point across. Those aforementioned flights were quite enjoyable once received. They were delivered on a metal slab of some sort (as opposed to traditional wood you'll often see) which you could tell stored in a freezer. Well done. My chicken Caesar salad was delicious and on point. Bone in steak was executed perfectly except it did lack a little oomph. Mashed potatoes were very pedestrian. Baby broccoli was nicely seared and subtly seasoned. The rest of the meals looked solid. Lots of salads, poke, and ahi tuna were ordered. Portions were rockin and everything looked fresh. Speaking of rockin. The best part of my experience was the classic rock vibe. Hit after hit of quality tunes. Some super random but definitely recognizable. Applause to the station (or DJ) choosing the songs. Overall this place is a welcome addition to American Dreams. Low light bar environment with paintings adorning the sides of the restaurant. Hostess greeted me in a friendly manner and service was quite good. My waitress offered me several beers as a sample when I asked for a vague recommendation of "something not too heavy." For the food, ahi tuna was pretty good but the sauce was too salty for me. I also got the steak bowl, where the steak was cooked medium rare as requested and the veggies were crispy. Steak was underseasoned while the veggies were really salty. Still not a bad dish overall. It's a chain restaurant, so wasn't expecting much. The place is nice and spacious, music not too loud. Our server was pleasant enough, and the drinks were great. So why only 2 stars? The food was mediocre at best. The burger was under seasoned and the onion rings tasted like they'd been under a hot lamp for 20 minutes. They probably had thinking about it, since the floppy slice of pickle it came with was warm. My wife had the fish and chips. Again, fish was clearly not fresh, too heavily battered in a greasy thick coating, with very little flavor. Fries were stale and not hot. No salt, pepper, ketchup or other sauces on the table? I really only finished my meal because I was hungry. I would have probably sent it back otherwise. And what's the deal with charging $2 for those games? I didn't even realize till the bill came. Sad. My fiancé and I decided to try this place after seeing it in the mall and hearing that it was a good restaurant from one of our family members who has one in their area. We came in and put our names down, as the wait was about 50 mins. Yard House did not disappoint and was worth the wait! The food was fresh, delish and cooked with perfection. We didn't try the beer but our cocktails were delish; we could tell the bartenders took pride in their work. We also experienced amazing service. Everyone from the hosts, the waiter, manager and the servers were EXCELLENT. Everyone was so nice, personable and made sure we enjoyed our first visit and knew about the restaurant. We will definitely be back to try more dishes. This might be our new go-to spot. read more
