We decided to have lunch as first-timers at their Wayne location situated in the Wayne Towne Center (Route 23 South). As one steps inside, one is greeted by the staff in an energetic ambiance, with multiple TVs showcasing live sports and an inviting bar stocked with an impressive selection of local craft beers and cocktails. The host led us to a booth in the main dining room. The decor radiates a modern yet cozy vibe, making it the perfect setting for a casual family dinner or a night out with friends. Their sizable menu features their specialty wings, burgers, coal-fired pizza, sushi, salads, and sandwiches. It also offers an extensive craft beer menu, whiskey selections, and specialty cocktails. As an appetizer to share, my partner and I opted for the Breaded Wisconsin Cheese Curds with marinara sauce. We ordered the Veggie Crunch Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sandwich, accompanied by fries. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Several bartenders walked by as we called to them. Totally ignored us. We did finally get drinks and shortly after we're told a table was available. It took quite a while before our waitress showed up. Since we already had drinks she was ready to walk away but we wanted to order a pretzel. She took the order, pretzel arrived more than 15 mins later, but it was delicious. It was good we had something to munch on cause our dinner, 2 burgers and a flatbread, arrived 45 mins later. The burgers were wrong, she said she had 2 Cali burgers. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, I did order the Cali. I took one, they sent the other back for correction. Once I went to eat mine I realized it was not a Cali burger. That had to be returned also. Both burgers were ordered medium rare, they were cooked well done. My friend did enjoy her flatbread. The manager did come by with a half hearted apology. She offered free dessert, we're not dessert eaters so did not accept the offer. Looking back, we should gave taken dessert to go. I am a huge fan of the Tommy's franchise, and always try something new on their menu when I go. There have been a few misses (some of their items have way too much going on) but mostly hits (their soups are phenomenal) but I can say with this being the third location I have visited they are all consistent, clean and always a good experience. Our server was a sweetheart who was bringing her A game. The only hiccups were the food runners, we had the wrong appetizer brought to the table and my sushi was served without chopsticks but all minor things. Our first time at this place and we could tell it was popular with the line stretching out of the door. No reservations so it is first come first serve. There was a 25 minute wait when we arrived. They take your cell number and text when your table is ready. Our server was so amazing. With my food allergies she went above and beyond to make sure that I understood their procedures and that my food was safe. I really appreciate the extra effort she took to make me feel comfortable. The food was delicious and service was great. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday evening but that did not detract from the service. The booth seating was so spacious. Tommy's is a solid spot for a casual bite especially if you want to catch a game while eating! I happened to be there during the World Cup and it was great. It was a really fun and lively atmosphere. If you don't want to grab a table, the bar is also a great option for a quick drink or even for a meal. There's typically a bit of a wait here but it always moves quickly and you can always grab a drink while you wait. Some of my favorites here are the salmon salad, eggplant flatbread, and believe it or not the sushi! On my most recent visit I had the tuna poke bowl. It was a very large portion and extremely fresh. I'm absolutely a fan of the Tommy's chain of restaurants, especially thanks to the gluten-free and vegetarian menu options. From cauliflower crusts to Impossible patties, I never have an issue finding something to order while I'm there. The Wayne location is conveniently located in its own section near other major stores, there's always plenty of parking. It can be a little challenging to get a table depending on the time of day since they don't offer reservations. Every time I have visited this location, I've received amazing and friendly service. The cocktails are always great, and the food is even better. My orders have always been correct and prompt, and I appreciate the value of seamless dining experiences. I come to this place at least twice a year. The wings are pretty good, but the drinks, dumplings, pizza and steak salad are all excellent! Service is very good too and they always have some specials or special seasonal event going on. Case in point I just had a delicious braised short rib and chocolate Manhattan as part of their winter special menu. As an avid guest at the Tommy's location in Clifton, I was psyched to see that they were opening a new location closer to home. The new restaurant is located in Wayne on the outside perimeter of the Willowbrook Mall. It's the old TGIF location which is easily accessible from 46 and 23. This new location is a big restaurant with a full bar, tables and booths throughout. They also have an outside patio but it was WAY too hot yesterday to sit out there. Same menu so you can expect consistency. Their menu is very extensive from burgers to salads, pizza and even sushi. Yes, sushi! I normally wouldn't trust a place with so many different items on the menu but their sushi is great. For dinner, we ordered the smashed potatoes side I imagined it would be like a Boxty, but it wasn't. It was like mini baked potatoes - I can't complain! We also got the Hot Honey Roni which is my favorite pizza on their menu. The Hot Honey Roni has mini pepperoni cups along with mozz and a sesame seeded crust. This was our 2nd time at this location. We were there when they first opened and it was packed. Today we went (a snowy Sunday) again for a late lunch after errands. Service was excellent, we were seated in a roomy booth. We spilt a personal pizza, wine and beer from the specials football menu. I had my usual steak salad, steak was cooked perfectly medium and my husband had the tuna poke bowl. The poke bowl seems to get smaller each time we frequent Tommy's. I love this spot usually for exciting pub food and good cocktails. Last time I ordered from here, I was in the mood for some sushi so I decided to give their sushi menu a try. I was blown away by how amazing their sushi is. The tuna nachos had a good amount of tuna and I loved the sauces. The Hawaiian roll was also very delicious with fresh fish. My daughter loves California rolls and they were a lot larger than they usually are at a sushi restaurant.
