We were a party of 4 last night, with reservations for 6:30PM, seated right at the door in the bar area. I had my back to the bar, but from what I was able to see this is a very cozy place. Service was quick and attentive, and we did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a pleasant time chatting. Drinks: the black walnut Manhattan, Fig jam old fashioned, wine , beer and port. Drinks were all excellent, i tasted the Manhattan and enjoyed it over the Fig Jam. For apps: Clams oreganato (the couple with us enjoyed this), flat bread (was much more like pizza than flat bread, but still tasty, per my husband), and on the special New England Clam Chowder which was very good, not too thick and decent and fresh clams in it. Entrees: Shrimp Risotto scampi, very flavorful Risotto cooked perfectly. Two of us ordered the Cajun Mahi Mahi, over spinach with mashed, and 2 shrimp. the Cajun sauce was tasty with the perfect amount of heat, shrimp and mahi-mahi fresh and cooked perfectly. Rigatoni Bolognese which my husband enjoyed and said it was almost as good as my Italian mother's (like a good son-in-law) lol Dessert: Crème Brûlée - Brûlée was perfect, the crème was a little too thick for me. I ate it and enjoyed it, but not the best I've had. My husband ordered the key Lime Pie happy that it did not include nuts in the crust as some do, he thought it was good. We always have a great experience when we come to this restaurant. The staff are very friendly. The place is beautifully decorated and very clean. It is a very large restaurant with plenty of seating either in the main dining room or in the two separate dining areas. Went there New Years Eve at 430 for an early dinner. At first the place was beautiful. Then we sat down for dinner and went down hill from there. The appetizer came out within 2 minutes of ordering. I informed them to please don't bring out the entrees immediately, well that went on deaf ears. Needless to say we were in and out in a hour and a half. There was no need for us to feel we were being rushed. It cost 78.00 per person which I feel deserves a relaxing dinner. I'm very disappointed. On another note they should play relaxing music not club music. Management needs to step up. read more

The restaurant has recently been renovated creating a cozy but upscale atmosphere. Large windows, linen table cloths and carefully placed silver and glasses add to it's elegance. I particularly appreciated the spacing of the tables which allowed for conversation. I took advantage of their Happy Hour which runs from 3-6pm and offers a 30% discount. I had the "Chicken & Shrimp Gorgonzola" which was $23 and during regular hours $28. The food was great and artistically plated. Service was professional being both knowledgeable and attentive. Beautiful, upscale looking Italian-Med restaurant. Despite its upscale ambiance, the vibe is friendly, casual, and comfortable. Spacious, carefully designed and attractive dining room, and a well stocked, and professionally maintained bar. Made me a great Bourbon Manhattan while I awaited for friends to arrive. Ample off road parking is available. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasty. It's was Super Bowl evening when I went so our group we ordered a variety of dishes (some photos posted) that were shareable. Two large screen TV's are placed so as to be clearly visible to the dining area, but this is a fine dining establishment so the atmosphere maintained a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. First time visiting Lumi's with friends who are loyal patrons. Friday night reservation at 7pm. Dining room was fairly quiet and service was impeccable. All of the plates were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Avocado and Shrimp Salad which was fresh and presentation was pretty. Grilled octopus melted in your mouth. Ahi tuna app was by far the best app, which our friend usually orders for that very reason. For dinner I enjoyed the Bronzino, which was brought to the table presented as a whole grilled fish, then returned to the kitchen to debone and plate with a green sauce with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the Seafood Zuppa and it did not disappoint! Our friends had the steak special (looked very good) and a pasta dish, which I cannot remember. Dessert topped off a wonderful meal. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had and my husband loved the crème brûlée. A fabulous night - would definitely return! read more

Every time I think I had it all they pleasantly surprise me. I saw a guy at the bar eating the burger and it looked delicious. I sat at the bar and ordered it; beyond great! A big burger with caramelized onions, apple slice bacon, Gruyère cheese with bourbon aioli on a delicious bun with some of the best fries east of the Mississippi!! My family ordered catering from here. I'll freely acknowledge that catering isn't the best representative of a restaurant's ability to prepare food, since you have to make dishes in bulk and so some details inevitably get lost. I can be forgiving. But this food was just not good. We had at least 6 different trays of food and I had issues with almost all of them. The arancini were complete mush. They deflated when you put a fork in them because the rice was so overcooked it had turned into a paste. I've had arancini many times and they always have some structural integrity and you can still see grains of rice inside. These were completely homogeneous, like a thick liquid. They also added truffle oil, which is gross (personal dislike). The mahi mahi smelled really fishy the moment we lifted the tray lid. I questioned how fresh it was. And I don't know what's Italian about a tropical fish with cajun seasoning. Mushroom ravioli were fine, but it seemed like they just used their standard marsala sauce on top -- it was strangely sweet. The ravioli also had no cheese inside that I could see, just pieces of cooked cremini mushroom. This one, I might have had seconds, but there was nothing left after the first pass. Eggplant rollatini didn't taste bad, but they didn't have much eggplant flavor. I also think they might have been baked rather than fried because they were completely limp and when you removed the cheese on top, the batter lacked color. Maybe, too, that was because they decided to make these gluten-free, but they were pretty sad and lifeless. This is one of my favorite Italian dishes, so it was especially disappointing that this one had no flavor and was so soft. I just don't know how a restaurant at this price point could get so many things wrong. To me, it was indistinguishable from a more mass market Italian restaurant and certainly not up to par with comfort Italian food from NJ, NY and CT. read more

We had the best experience at Lumi's. We had a group of 12 , all of us from out of state. The staff were helpful from the first call we made to make the reservation until we left the parking lot. The drinks were great , there was a good selection of wine in varied price range. Everyone loved their food. We had everything from Veal shank to ravioli. All delicious. What really made Lumi stand out was how welcoming the staff was. My father in law was in a wheelchair and wanted to sit outside to wait for our ride. One of the staff members (maybe an owner or manager ,I wish I'd gotten his name) came out to make sure we hadn't felt rushed to leave. What an absolutely amazing dinner experience from beginning to end.. The restaurant itself is very beautiful the outside Decour was very tasteful and it was lovely inside. We were led to the seating area behind the bar and it was very warm and cozy. Our waiter was out of this world he was friendly, making jokes, offering suggestions he just was perfect. The food is worth the price. My boyfriend actually said it's the first time he's ever seen me finish some thing. We started with oysters which were delicious as well has a watermelon and strawberry salad. I had the salmon and he had the seafood risotto which was hands-down the best one he's ever had he stated.. Food is terrible. Nothing is fresh. Ambiance is good, service is terrible. Wanted to see the Bronzino before it was cooked. It was grey and smelled like old fish. I said "what are you crazy". They served it to another ignorant diner. The chicken cutlets are frozen and pounded very thin. They were dry and had no taste. When we asked how they can serve this food, we were told "that how our customer like it". The burger at the bar was awful. I ordered it medium rare and they served it well done. Turns out that their ground beef patties are frozen and cooked straight from the freezer. French fries are commercial frozen. It's an Italian restaurant but no-one there is Italian, not the owners, servers or bartenders, They are all from Armania. We said that we like Armanian food and suggested they include some as a special. They brought us the name of a nearby Armanian restaurant. That was the best thing of the night. We have eaten there several times because of the ambiance but that doesn't compensate for bad food. Stay away from this place unless you like getting sick. read more

Doesn't look like much when you drive by, but I was extremely surprised when we went in. They have been open for only 6 months. The inside is trendy, very pretty and the atmosphere is great. Service is top notch from the minute you walk in. The entire staff is beyond friendly and very attentive. We started with a hot and dirty martini which was awesome. For Appetizers we had the Caesar salad which was crisp And the dressing was perfect. Mozzarella Carrozza was delicious. Very light and not greasy. We also had the sausage and broccoli rabe, which was excellent. Broccoli rabe was not bitter which is a definite plus. Dinners I tried the Ahi Tuna. Fantastic!! The tuna was fresh, perfectly seared on the edges. The entire dish had such a mixture of flavors. The veal chop parmigiana was tender and delicious. Excellent!! Linguini with marinara was good also. Very good food, and good drinks, with a very friendly and competent wait staff. However, on a Saturday night it is deafeningly noisy, even in the "quieter" back room behind the bar. The zupa di vongole and beet salad appetizers were very good (much bigger helping of beets than one usually gets). The rigatoni Siciliana was likewise generously portioned, and the pounded veal chop parmigiana, which seems to be all the rage at Italian restaurants these days, was appropriately huge and very tasty. I would rate them upper middle of the pack when compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. The service was decent overall. However, I felt the meal service was rushed. The main course was on its way out when we were only about half way finished with the appetizers. And the waiter was hovering as we were having desert and coffee. Service was excellent! Very attentive to all my guests. From the elderly to our well behaved toddler's. The food selections were very fresh and good they offered a large selection of gluten free dishes. We sat near the bar which was perfect for our guests. The restaurant is spotless no dusty bar bottles the windows are crystal clear and bright sunshine. I had 14 guests that ordered directly from the menu. Calamari was perfectly cooked and not even slightly rubbery although served with a fairly standard sauce. Raw oysters were spotlessly clean and served with both cocktail and horseradish sauces which were outstanding. Steak was an exact medium and well trimmed. Sorrento was three large pieces of veal and flavorful. My old fashioned was excellent as was my wife's highball. Sometimes simple drinks are the hardest to get right. After lunch cognac was not shorted. Not an inexpensive meal but reasonable for four drinks, two appetizers and two mains. We also booked a party and they are helpful and reasonable. I haven't cooked in about five years so we've been around a lot! lol There are a wide range of dishes that are each spectacular. We've loved everything we've tried which includes many items. The atmosphere is very comfortable; open and airy and beautifully renovated with an attractive large bar. Every inch of this restaurant is immaculately clean as well. The dining area is not loud and clambering like other venues. You can actually have a conversation and room to breathe. The service is outstanding in every way. Top notch, professional and knowledgeable but also just the right amount of friendly. We've ordered takeout from this place too and it's always delicious and hot. They are on Doordash!
