This rating is based solely on experience. Went for Cinco de Mayo and the whole place was a vibe. They had a Dj, a girl going around giving shots, dance parties it was great! The food.... Embarrassing. They had a limited selection which, fair. But the food was unappealing, undercooked and plain Bad. They serve you on plates that Look disposable, the tortillas weren't fully cooked and the meat was flavorless. Then to top it off the waiter gave our bill to another table. And tried to tell us we were going to pay less by paying their bill because we had ordered more. We had them calculate the whole Thing over and we paid about $15 more but the explanation was bizarre. Why would I pay someone else's bill??

Overall wasn't impressed. Went on a weekday early afternoon and there was only one server (potentially manager or owner) who wasn't very friendly and didn't even mention happy hour specials (overheard a couple who came in later ask about it). Food was just okay the best part was the guacamole. Salsa and hot sauce were all cold, like just popped out the fridge. Birria bowl was rice with a splash of beans, pico and not very flavorful meat. Can't speak on their drinks but they didn't have horchata which is unusual for a Mexican spot.

This restaurant looks nice, definitely a place to hangout with friends. Service was great. We came on a weekday afternoon so it was really quiet. The downfall is the food though. I thought things could've been a bit bigger portioned for the price, and some more filling in their tacos. But unfortunately, I think the flavor is lacking also. I added Hot sauce to everything for some sort of flavor. We ordered the burrito, some tacos, and buffalo chicken spring rolls.

Misleading Happy Hour Sign. Waitress said you only get 1/2 off on ONE appetizer. The sign doesn't say that.

I'm on the fence with this restaurant and it makes me sad. If we're rating the food, it's pretty good! I've come twice and we tried things like the Empanada trio, Birria Pizza, tacos gringos, guacamole, and a few other things. Really good, didn't disappoint at all. If we're rating service, ummmm...they could be better. The first time we came, the waitress wasn't happy at all. Her face showed it, her vibe showed it and we were just walking on eggshells. The second time we came, we had a waitress who barely spoke English. Eventually she got another waitress who spoke English because we all were getting frustrated. We came for Happy Hour! They offer 1/2 off SELECT APPETIZERS. Fine. Then they list the select apps. Fine. We gave a list of apps to try, we were beyond excited to sample and then the waitress says HAPPY HOUR is 1/2 off just ONE appetizer. After that, everything is full price. The sign says NOTHING like that. It's misleading and if it's true, it should be written. Both times we came, our bill was around $200-$275. We expected better service and honest advertising.

Pedimos quesadillas de pollo para llevar y me dieron quesadillas de carne ,lo malo, ni comemos carne .

Orden incorrecta, me dieron productos que no puedo comer . El servicio es ok, el ambiente es bueno

This review is for the Wayne location. I was there for Sunday brunch in February, posted the review in Google, but noticed this review is not showing on their page. If you are looking to party on a Sunday morning, that's the place (is really loud!). The food unfortunately needs improvement. We ordered queso fundido to start, and got nacho cheese, seriously???(picture attached). Queso fundido and melted cheese are two different things! I ordered the steak and eggs from the brunch menu. The piece of skirt steak was decent seasoned thankfully, it came served with one egg and some kind of potatoes that tasted horrible and it was cold. The service was ok, can't complain about that. Definitely not coming back!

This place was subpar. The best thing here was the drink. They brings chips and salsa for the table. The chips were old, not fresh. We ordered calamari for the table. It was battered with I want to say adobo b/c it came out orange. The squid was not fresh at all! I love seafood. That squid was not good. I had tacos gringos. I was fine. Nothing to rave about. My friends had steak fajitas and shrimp tacos. They enjoyed their dishes. I expected more from this place.

Parking along the sides of the restaurant. This is the spot for bottomless margaritas or sangria. $30 for bottomless drinks. My glass was never empty until leaving. Our waiter was wonderful. We came here for my brothers' birthdays and they did a whole celebration during brunch. Highly recommend coming during brunch. I was a party of seven and everyone ordered birria tacos and I ordered the fish tacos. They were amazing. If you're looking for a fun brunch spot with bottomless drinks, this is the spot.

My sister and I visited on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. They have a parking lot. We arrived at 1pm and we were seating immediately. Not too long after I noticed it got crowded. We were greeted immediately by the manager, Marcelo. Marcelo & our waitress, Itzel (I apologize if misspelled) were great. We opted for the bottomless margarita - which is the real reason we wanted to try this spot out! The margaritas were delicious and they did a great job at making sure our cups were filled. They also bring chips and salsa to start. We ordered the chicken empanadas to start. They were yummy! For entrees, my sister got the birria bowl and I got the birria tacos. We both got beef. The food was good but we had gotten full from the margaritas that we ended up taking our food to go. The entertainment was great! They had a DJ and the variety of music was good. They had two dancers going around to the different tables and performing. They had some sort of 'contest' where they asked a certain amount of people to go up and hype up the crowd. It was a fun time. Overall, great experience, good food and good drinks. I will definitely be coming back!

Ambiance was 8/10. Definitely a location to hit for happy hour or after work. The location appear a bit sketchy at first because of the drive, but there's a lot of parking. Service: Amazing staff, very attentive. Appetizers: calamari and guac & chips. Flavorful and refreshing. The calamari was not as crispy as I would like, but the guac was creamy and delicious. Main dish: tacos brirra. The dish was ideal portion. Taste was 9/10. The star of the for me was definitely the passion fruit margarita. Delicious, refreshing and flawless summer drink. Overall amazing spot, definitely will come again and try more things on the menu.

The ONLY downside isn't even the restaurant itself, it's the website. It is very hard to navigate but it doesn't even correlate with the restaurant so disregard this critique. The fajitas are so good I get them every time. I don't even need a menu because I already know what I'm ordering! The delicious fajitas that come out sizzling every time. The look, smell, and feel of the restaurant is absolutely amazing! I love the lighting and the horse in the front. The horse is a monumental statue, as it is there every time you visit. I've taken many pictures there in front of it and they always come out stunning, it's just my face that makes it stunning though! And the horse I guess! The chips and salsa they give you when you walk in are absolutely exquisite! My family downs two bowls in five minutes! And they replace the bowl and chips when you run out, so you can imagine how many empty bowls are in that kitchen! Last but certainly not least, the churros. They're nice and warm for the palate to cleanse after you eat your delectable fajitas. You get about 6 or 7 churros with carmel sauce or chocolate sauce. You also get a bowl of ice cream on the side with spoons. Very delicious. Every night I have dreams about this resturant and I don't want them to end. That's why, starting July 1st, I'm going to eat, breathe, and sleep Casa Don Manuel! Thank you if you stayed to read this and get to the end. Good night and I hope you choose Casa Don Manuel as your next restaurant experience. I hope your destiny brings you here. It would make my experience 10x better if I got a picture with the owner, so if anyone could hook me up that would be great. Love you y'all and have an amazing Saturday evening! My husband put our name in for a party of four and gave his phone number for the text notification but the hostess accidentally entered us as a party of two. Thankfully, the table that was ready was large enough for four but it could have caused an issue. As a note, she remembered and realized she mistyped it and apologized immediately. Our waiter was friendly, though the service had a few hiccups. My chicken quesadilla (which I ordered as my entrée) came out well before everyone else's meals. When boxing leftovers, he asked whether I wanted the sides, sour cream, and salsa included. I said no, but when I opened the container the next day, everything had been packed together anyway. Food: The chicken quesadilla was delicious and generously filled with shredded chicken. Drinks: The frozen strawberry margarita was excellent. It was filled to the brim and stronger than what you typically get at a restaurant. Overall, I'm chalking the service issues up to it being a busy Saturday night. We'd still happily return to Jose Tejas whenever we're in the area.

You're given a complimentary cheesy tortilla as an appetizer as well. We often get the queso derretido con chorizo appetizer, a combo platter of some sort, and I'm a fan of their paella as well, which is stuffed to the brim with chicken, chorizo, and seafood. They serve up a complimentary dessert of banana & honey chimichanga at the end which is yummy. The prices have gone up a fair bit in the last couple of years, and they do charge 4% for credit card payment (an increasingly common practice that's anathema to someone who hates carrying cash like me), so I was tempted to take away a star. But in light of our overall great experiences here, always satisfying meals, excellent and friendly service (shoutout to Fabian), not to mention the freebies they throw in, a 5-star rating is still justified.

It wasn't until hours later when, stomach growling, I traipsed over to the fridge excited for the remnants of my enchiladas de mole, that I realized to my dismay that my comida had desaparecida. I've made up for this absent-minded first experience since, and La Bamba Grill 2 now ranks among my top 3 favorite casual Mexican restaurants in this region. My dining companions and I have variously enjoyed tacos, tostadas, pozole, churrasco, and other dishes. The chicken quesadilla, something I normally only order for the kid and am disappointed by 9 times out of 10 in most restaurants, gets my adult endorsement and also passes the ultimate test: toddler approval. As you can see from my photos, it's stuffed with cheese and chicken (we opted for grilled chicken but you can get the marinated shredded version which is a little spicy). I've trauma-bonded with the aforementioned mole enchiladas, which again, is full of chicken, in a very good and well-flavored mole sauce that's better then most other moles I've had in the area. The platters are huge, with generous amounts of everything. The interior is colorfully and cheerfully decorated with Mexican-themed artwork and adornments, with cozy booths as well as a diner counter.
