I moved to this neighborhood about a year ago, and every time I drove toward Route 23, I would see this restaurant and wonder if it really had a view of the airstrip. This Father's Day, we finally got a chance to visit. We arrived around 7 PM and had to wait about 25 minutes for a table. It was a summer Sunday evening, so the place was busy. We didn't mind waiting outside near the airfield. Interestingly, the outdoor seating area was packed, while the indoor dining room was almost empty! Honestly, who would want to sit inside on a beautiful summer evening? There is also an outdoor bar facing the airfield. After about 20-30 minutes, we got our table. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. They also have live music performances during the summer, which adds to the experience. One of the highlights was watching the small planes take off and land at Lincoln Park Airport. We settled and ordered: * Boom Boom Shrimp - The portion size was a little small, but it tasted great. * Shrimp Scampi Pizza - We probably should have ordered the regular 12-inch pizza, but when the server suggested the 16-inch size, we went for it. It turned out to be way too much food for us! We finished only half and took the rest home. It was my first time trying a Shrimp Scampi pizza, and I really enjoyed it. The service was good, and overall everything was enjoyable. Families with kids would especially like this place since watching the planes is a lot of fun. Parking: on site- ample parking! Havent been here in a while and I must say the "return" was a very good experience! Dined on a weekday with the fam and had great service. Food was prompt, generous in portions and pretty good! I want to love this place - the location, the decor, the views... but something always seems to leave me under impressed each time I give it another try. Burgers were tasty, beer was cold, but service continues to be underwhelming and lackluster. Always an odd experience visiting here. We asked to sit inside and despite the restaurant being virtually empty indoors, they seat us immediately next to the only other inside table that was occupied (???) ... I didn't come to make friends and some separation would have been nice. Love me some visits to Sunset Pub! Came here as summer is winding down and caught a beautiful sunset. We had the caprese salad along with the honey sriracha wings. Sunset's wings are amazing!! The honey sriracha is sweet and spicy all at once. We also had the spiked calamari which was sooo good - it had balsamic and capers along with Kalamata olives. Service used to be slow but I'd say that Sunset had a lot more servers this summer than seasons past which really made a difference! Ordered 2 soups 2 salads and a chicken vodka sandwich. Service was ok but took a long time to get our food even though the place was slow at the time. They forgot the chicken on my daughter's salad and she ordered a sprite and they gave her a lemonade. Also when asking for a second drink they forgot and took over 10 minutes to realize. My boyfriend and I have been here several times over the last 18 months. More recently we sat at the outside bar overlooking the airport. Watching the small aircraft takeoff and land was pretty cool. I opted for their beef nachos which came as a delicious looking heaping pile on a large tray and did not disappoint. My boyfriend had a salad which looked fresh and tasty. I came with a group of 8 and was unpleasantly surprised to find mold inside not one, but all of the plastic straws. My 2 year old son and I (pregnant) both drank with moldy straws before I realized where the foul taste was coming from. I brought it to my waiter's attention to not hear another word about it. They took the straws, I'm sure to remove proof, and no manager or anyone came to address the health code issue. On top of that, my sandwich did not come out until the rest of the party had almost finished their food. Gorgeous premise next to an airport with indoor and a lot of outdoor seatings. Staff is very friendly even though they were extra busy because of a preschool graduation. My family was very happy with the seafood/fish dishes they said they were very fresh. I had the drunken chicken sandwich which I thought was ok, but everyone seems to enjoy their food. First time ever doing a yelp review but so outraged I had to comment on a visit to this place this past Friday night. Cool place located on a small airport in Lincoln Park NJ. Every Friday my brother and I do a couple beers at various locals, after visiting my younger brother at his nursing home. Happy hour at Sunset grill on Friday was crowded but it was a nice night, and we were happy to get the attention of a very hard-working young lady who poured us a couple Maine Lunch after a long week and another depressing visit at the nursing home. I handed her a $20 and almost dropped my beer when she said sorry it wasn't enough. BAR tab for 2 12oz drafts was $25! That's over 3X the average mark up for draft beer. Boy did I feel violated. Came here for a music gig a while back and didn't stay long. The service was terrible -- I never received any bartending service because the staff was too busy goofing around, and at one point a bartender was even on the ground. It was disappointing, especially since I know plenty of people who come here regularly. I can't speak to the food since I never got that far, but I really hope they improve their customer service and overall guest experience. As it stands, it's not a place I'd recommend. read more

Came here for St Patty's day to celebrate a friend's birthday. I'm not a big fan of corn beef and cabbage but others said it was good. They now have new pizza oven so I had the margarita it was big enough for 2 people to share and very good! We also drank green beer. They have bands perform there but it's is a very small area and there was no room for us to watch which was very disappointing, When the weather is nice you can sit outside which is great you can watch the small planes come in or take off. The place needs to rethink how they run their business. They operate like a bunch of clueless people. They need to work on their pricing with their Apps and Drinks are WAY over priced so BUYER BEWARE. They nickle and time people on drinks. A 16oz of Coke poured from their dispencer that isn't watered down costs about 10 cents a glass. They charge $5 per class of soda and the don't give you free refills. We saw a charge for $21.00 for 4 sodas, when we had ordered 1 and got 3 refills. That costs them maxium 50 cents but had the nerve to charge us $21.00! Over $20 put in their pockets. So just imagine what else is overpriced. Expected my bill to be x and found it to be 30% higher than expected.
