Love me some visits to Sunset Pub! Came here as summer is winding down and caught a beautiful sunset. We had the caprese salad along with the honey sriracha wings. Sunset's wings are amazing!! The honey sriracha is sweet and spicy all at once. We also had the spiked calamari which was sooo good - it had balsamic and capers along with Kalamata olives. Service used to be slow but I'd say that Sunset had a lot more servers this summer than seasons past which really made a difference! Been a few times since it re-opened and not sure what's new besides the sconces inside that make it brighter. Love love love Anthony and Aimee but where is Dave??!!!! They are the dream team with how busy it can get there. No one wanted to tell us. He was one of the best bartenders / servers there. Also - they need decaf espresso for martinis!!! My boyfriend and I have been here several times over the last 18 months. More recently we sat at the outside bar overlooking the airport. Watching the small aircraft takeoff and land was pretty cool. I opted for their beef nachos which came as a delicious looking heaping pile on a large tray and did not disappoint. My boyfriend had a salad which looked fresh and tasty. Casual place with a great outdoor area to watch the planes land and take off. Service was a little slow but we were not in a big rush. However we did have to ask for things like silverware and plates. Food was good, could have used more chicken on the sandwich. Chicken bacon ranch wrap was the better option. read more

Came here for a music gig a while back and didn't stay long. The service was terrible -- I never received any bartending service because the staff was too busy goofing around, and at one point a bartender was even on the ground. It was disappointing, especially since I know plenty of people who come here regularly. I can't speak to the food since I never got that far, but I really hope they improve their customer service and overall guest experience. As it stands, it's not a place I'd recommend. read more

Gorgeous premise next to an airport with indoor and a lot of outdoor seatings. Staff is very friendly even though they were extra busy because of a preschool graduation. My family was very happy with the seafood/fish dishes they said they were very fresh. I had the drunken chicken sandwich which I thought was ok, but everyone seems to enjoy their food. Came for their reopening. Had to sit in the back bar area. Bartender was annoyed with everything. Sent back my wine. It tasted like it had been sitting since they closed. Gentleman next to us had to send back his beer it tasted so bad. Bartender was annoyed with everything and everyone who wasn't a regular. Dropping the F bomb every other sentence. I really don't understand why this place has 2.5 stars. I don't think it's too expensive either. Fairly priced and tasty food. We ordered chicken wings, mussels and clams, and cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was honestly really good. I haven't had one in YEARS and it met my expectations for exactly what a cheesesteak should taste like. The service was very nice. We had Robyn and she was very accommodating and kind. Am I expecting Micheline Star food? No. But for what it is I'd say it's a solid 4 stars. The weather was finally nice and this was a great choice! We got a drink at the outside bar where the baseball game was on. Quickly after we sat outside, and get to see some planes land and take off! Came here for St Patty's day to celebrate a friend's birthday. I'm not a big fan of corn beef and cabbage but others said it was good. They now have new pizza oven so I had the margarita it was big enough for 2 people to share and very good! We also drank green beer. They have bands perform there but it's is a very small area and there was no room for us to watch which was very disappointing, When the weather is nice you can sit outside which is great you can watch the small planes come in or take off. Food: we chose an appetizer of calamari which has some delicious peppers tossed in. Very lightly fried. I chose the Sunset Burger which was whopping (ate too much I'd say) and my wife chose the appealing shrimp tacos which was also delectable. Walk in, the bar is empty, it's just us and the hostess, we ask for a table, they ask if we have a reservation. Nope. "It will be a 45 minute wait." Again, there's nobody at the bar, there's nobody sitting at any of the tables we can see. "Okay, we'll wait." She takes my phone number so she can text me when the table is ready. We sit at a table right next to the hostess. 5 minutes later I get a text "Your table is ready!" Hmmm. I'm guessing they thought we'd purchase drinks at the unoccupied bar while we were waiting? I don't know. Very awkward/uncomfortable situation. Waitstaff was amazing (saving grace) my entree was undercooked, couldn't send it back because of steps in the meal process/prep after cooking. They offered to remake it completely while my table was already half way done with their meal. No thanks. Shared my daughters entree, it was great. They took mine off the bill.
