    Black and White malt

One of .y favorite parts of going home to the northeast is to get some real diner food. I tried an amazing hot dog platter, which was 2 dogs with mustard and sauerkraut. Great friendly service and a Black and White (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) malt for dessert.

I am officially a Falls Kitchen STAN. I wish I came sooner! Cute, old school diner vibes in the heart of downtown LF. Doesn't get much better than that. They have a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options - the worst part is trying to make a decision on what to order! I was immediately struck by how reasonably priced this place is. My boyfriend and I both had meals and coffee and the bill was only 26 dollars. My mouth almost dropped. I even took half my omelet home! The food was tasty and fresh. The star was the eggs cooked into the fresh toast. I could have eaten 10 slices of that. I'm a sucker for a runny egg and it was A+ with the French toast. I rarely see that on the menu anywhere! The service was great - everyone was very friendly and they let us relax and eat at our leisure. This will be a go to spot for me going forward!

I've only recently discovered this restaurant. The food is amazing and the prices are the low, a rare combination these days. There's a large parking lot close by which is convenient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Avocado Benedict and potatoes

Passing through towns in Central Jersey on the way to DC, our friend brought us here for breakfast before our 4 our drive. Easy seating in a clean space. We were promptly served with cutlery and water. Hubby and I ordered the avocado Benedict which is avocado as the replacement for Canadian bacon. It was just right. The eggs were runny when cut and the avocado was ripe. I should have asked for muffin to be more toasted. My bad. The hollandaise was fine. A bit lacking in flavor for me. Maybe it was made from a powder versus fresh. The potatoes are fine. Service was good, food came hot and pretty quickly. A splash of color on the plate would have been nice. Chopped parsley is a suggestion. I know everything costs money. If you want to bring in the hipster "kids" who all have a high income, jazz up the food a bit. And if not, I get it. Happy to come back and work my way around the menu. I bet the pancakes and waffles are good. Support the locals!

Old school diner at its finest! I found this spot on a Yep search and boy was I glad I did. It's an old school diner on a busy street in the middle of nowhere. Don't let the outside look fool you. This place is very spacious on the inside. You can dine in or take out. Choose from booth seating, table seating or even countertop seating. It's got an old school feel in the inside which brings back memories of going to a good old diner. To any old school diner you have certain iconic options. My fan favorite is the: Diner Gyro. A few slabs of beef in a warm pita bread with some tzatziki sauce hits the spot. Nothing special or extra, just some nostalgic yummy goodness. The fresh made pancakes were a great addition. Fluffy and moist. I had to add peanut butter and chocolate chips to it. With some table syrup that hit the spot. To all the sweetness I added some salty goodness with some bacon...sweet and salty! Definitely enjoyed this as you don't see many old school diners around anymore. Coupled with fresh made menu items AND a superrrr friendly staff makes this a unique place to dine in.

We decided to have lunch as first-timers at their Wayne location situated in the Wayne Towne Center (Route 23 South). As one steps inside, one is greeted by the staff in an energetic ambiance, with multiple TVs showcasing live sports and an inviting bar stocked with an impressive selection of local craft beers and cocktails. The host led us to a booth in the main dining room. The decor radiates a modern yet cozy vibe, making it the perfect setting for a casual family dinner or a night out with friends. Their sizable menu features their specialty wings, burgers, coal-fired pizza, sushi, salads, and sandwiches. It also offers an extensive craft beer menu, whiskey selections, and specialty cocktails. As an appetizer to share, my partner and I opted for the Breaded Wisconsin Cheese Curds with marinara sauce. We ordered the Veggie Crunch Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Sandwich, accompanied by fries. To wash them down, we decided on the Hugo Spritz and Pomegranate Spritz. Food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Every dish was perfectly made. Portions were healthy and the price reasonable. Our server Kelly was friendly and professional and wanted to make sure we were happy. Additional personal touches, such as management checking in on tables, left us feeling valued and appreciated. We had a wonderful experience.

The website states it is "A five star dive bar" and it did not disappoint. It is a gem of a place that is tucked away in a Little Falls neighborhood. The restaurant / bar was recently renovated and it has a great look and vibe. There is a large beautiful bar with tables surrounding it. We sat at a high table for two at the back end of the bar. The menu has so many interesting options to choose from. Instead of ordering a meal, we decided to split a number of appetizers while we quenched our thirst with drinks from the bar. We started with the Moroccan spinach & mushroom soup which was a silky broth, very tasty, and enjoyable. We slurped up every last drop. Next we had the home made potato and cheese pierogi and we added grilled kielbasa, both of which were delicious. The pierogi's were nicely pan fried adding a crispy texture which was very enjoyable. The caramelized onions added another dimension to the plate and left me wishing there was more. The lightly herbed sour cream for dipping tied all of the flavors together. The grilled kielbasa had a nice snap with each bite and a great flavor. We followed up with the rice balls. Perfectly cooked with a super crispy outside. Breaking into them with the fork, we were delighted to find a soft center with melted smoked gouda and rice. To round it out, they were plated on top of a nicely spiced tomato sauce base for dipping. All the flavors worked perfectly. Last we had the meatloaf cupcakes with the mashed potato frosting. One word... scrumptious. They were so moist and tender with a wonderful brown beef gravy that complimented the meat and mashed potatoes. We cleaned the plate!!! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. As we were leaving, we found out they also have live bands on the weekends. Unfortunately we left before the show went on, but that just gave us another reason to visit again.

Located at a strip mall off of Minnisink Road in Totowa, my partner and I decided on dinner at Robert's Scratch Kitchen for some of us as first-timer. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival at this cozy, inviting, and relaxed BYOB establishment, we were greeted by the owner, Robert, and got a table immediately by the window. The menu featured a variety of Italian, seafood, steak, pork, and veal dishes that change with the seasons, including a full gluten-free option catered especially to those with celiac. Their usage of an iPad shows the rotated specials was a novel idea. For starters, we decided on the Artichoke Hearts and Apple Salad. Our main meal consisted of Linguini and Clams as well as Eggplant Parmesan. The food was constantly fresh and prepared exactly how we had ordered it. The portions were healthy portions. The price was comparable to the area. The staff was attentive and wanted to ensure that we were happy. Our server was Juan. We had a wonderful culinary experience.
