This is SUCH a cute place! At first when we walked in I thought it was a small, but there are tons of booths and tables to sit at, in addition to traditional diner style bar seats. Everyone was very friendly and we got seated immediately. The food was phenomenal, and a great price. The blueberry silver dollar pancakes are the best, I highly recommend with a freshly squeezed orange juice. Pharmacist approved!

One of .y favorite parts of going home to the northeast is to get some real diner food. I tried an amazing hot dog platter, which was 2 dogs with mustard and sauerkraut. Great friendly service and a Black and White (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) malt for dessert.

I am officially a Falls Kitchen STAN. I wish I came sooner! Cute, old school diner vibes in the heart of downtown LF. Doesn't get much better than that. They have a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options - the worst part is trying to make a decision on what to order! I was immediately struck by how reasonably priced this place is. My boyfriend and I both had meals and coffee and the bill was only 26 dollars. My mouth almost dropped. I even took half my omelet home! The food was tasty and fresh. The star was the eggs cooked into the fresh toast. I could have eaten 10 slices of that. I'm a sucker for a runny egg and it was A+ with the French toast. I rarely see that on the menu anywhere! The service was great - everyone was very friendly and they let us relax and eat at our leisure. This will be a go to spot for me going forward!

I've only recently discovered this restaurant. The food is amazing and the prices are the low, a rare combination these days. There's a large parking lot close by which is convenient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Passing through towns in Central Jersey on the way to DC, our friend brought us here for breakfast before our 4 our drive. Easy seating in a clean space. We were promptly served with cutlery and water. Hubby and I ordered the avocado Benedict which is avocado as the replacement for Canadian bacon. It was just right. The eggs were runny when cut and the avocado was ripe. I should have asked for muffin to be more toasted. My bad. The hollandaise was fine. A bit lacking in flavor for me. Maybe it was made from a powder versus fresh. The potatoes are fine. Service was good, food came hot and pretty quickly. A splash of color on the plate would have been nice. Chopped parsley is a suggestion. I know everything costs money. If you want to bring in the hipster "kids" who all have a high income, jazz up the food a bit. And if not, I get it. Happy to come back and work my way around the menu. I bet the pancakes and waffles are good. Support the locals!

This is a super cute and quaint place. I placed an order to go with Steve and he was so nice and sweet. I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito with spinach tortilla and french fries. It was pretty good. I'd like to come back and dine in to try their other menu items.

I of course used Yelp to find a good diner on my drive from New Brunswick to Atlantic City. I found Broad Street located in Keyport not far from the Garden State Parkway. It's your "classic" diner which has that 1950's vibe with the exterior and interior decor. Elvis paraphernalia is featured here. They had a busy lunch crowd. I sat at the counter and ordered a McCaffrey Wrap which comes with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was really good. The side of sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were courteous and the service quick. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about five cars. There was plenty of on street parking. The downtown area was nice and you can take a nice walk after dining here to the waterfront.

It was very clean, with music perfectly paired to the already present atmosphere. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They all greeted us with a warm smile. We started off with two Chai Lattes: one with whole milk and one with almond milk. The presentation of these lattes was top tier; definitely worth the minor wait. They also tasted even better than they looked. For our brunch, we had gotten some chips and guacamole to start. For our entrees we shared a couple of plates: the body builder omelette with hash browns and a side of white toast, a side of beef sausage, and the French Toast (topped with Pineapple chutney with vanilla glaze and strawberries) with scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. All of the food was presented beautifully and tasted even better, just like the Chai Latte. The portions were large considering the affordable cost, and it all came out in a timely manner. Aside from the atmosphere and food, the one thing that stood out here was the customer service. Our waiter (I think his name is Wil) was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with their machine when trying to pay and Wil handled it quickly and professionally. Even if we didn't have that issue, the entire customer experience was great, and you could tell from the faces of the other tables that they shared our experience. For all that, they get a well deserved 5/5. I would highly recommend checking out the West Side Diner if you want to try out a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that won't break the bank.

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality stood out. We were the only Asian group in the restaurant, and the host/manager made us feel genuinely welcome. Even though the wait was busy and around 40 minutes, he still found moments to chat with us and keep the mood light, which made the time pass quickly. Our server was absolutely wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly, energetic, warm, and incredibly personable. When she learned we were visiting from China and had spent more time in places like Los Angeles before coming to New Jersey for the first time, she happily shared stories about the local area and made us feel right at home. Her kindness completely changed the feeling of a cold, rainy day. The food was outstanding. We finished everything, even though we were already full, because it was just that good. This is the kind of place where the food is satisfying, the portions are generous, and the experience feels real. I made sure to leave my tip directly for our server because she truly earned it. If there's ever an opportunity for recognition or promotion, I hope management knows what a gem they have on their team. Pompton Queen Diner is a reminder of why classic American diners matter so much. This is my second review of this establishment. In my initial review, I had issues with the burger…read morebeing overly soft, the fries being unseasoned and cold, and an unpleasant oil taste. However, this review is not about that experience. Let's start with the service. I placed my order with John, who was pleasant and easy to deal with. After speaking with the owner on Yelp, he suggested that some of my original issues may have been due to the timing and the fact that my order was delivered, which could have affected the quality. Taking that into account, I ordered the same item again. This time, the service was good, and I got home with the food piping hot. The issue I previously had with the burger does seem to have been caused by delivery time, as it was much better this time around. Unfortunately, the fries were just as disappointing. They were cold as soon as I opened the packaging, though at least they didn't have the old oil taste this time. Instead, it was very obvious they were frozen fries--confirmed by the presence of a plastic bag of frozen fries. They were again unseasoned, not even lightly salted, and somehow managed to be both cold and burnt at the same time. One thing that concerned me was the staffing. There were four employees present, but only two seemed to actually be working. John appeared to be leading things and taking orders, and there was someone cooking. One employee in a beanie seemed mostly idle, though I overheard something about deliveries, so I assume he may have been the delivery driver. Another employee, who looked around my age, didn't appear to be doing anything at all. That was a bit concerning. Overall, I updated my original rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. It was fine, but nothing impressive. If I were rating it out of 10, I'd give it a 4/10. The burger was good in terms of softness, but the onion rings and bacon lacked the crunch I was expecting. They were mostly soggy, though still an improvement compared to my first experience. The burger patty itself, without toppings, tasted dense and brick-like. If the fries had been good, I honestly would've rated this closer to a 7/10. However, I had to dock several points because I don't understand how fries can be both burnt and cold at the same time, nor how the quality managed to decline further between visits--from tasting like old oil to tasting unmistakably frozen and completely unseasoned. If I'm in the area, I might stop by for the burger alone, but even then I'd have to be in a very specific mood. The most disappointing part is that the owner personally encouraged me to give it another try. While one issue from my original visit was resolved, the fries somehow got worse. I know I'm ranting about the fries, but honestly--how do you mess up fries this badly?
