Oh, I wish Honey's Kitchen was nearby! I went in for breakfast on Friday 2/13/26, and left very happy. Walked in before 10, was given a friendly greeting and had a cup of coffee in my hand in less than a minute. Great coffee. I find extremely strong brews overwhelm the subtleties of coffee (I imagine that puts me in a small minority, but I know what I like). Honey's coffee was great. Choosing from a couple of dozen enticing choices wasn't easy; I went with a Mexican omelette. Served with pretty good home fries and very lightly buttered rye toast, I couldn't finish it. Little by little the small space with about a dozen and a half tables slowly filled up, yet I was never rushed. The second cup of coffee was s good as the first, and it was topped off by another friendly waitress (love teamwork). The place did get quite loud, but the sounds of happy people enjoying great food is one of the joys of life. A small parking lot abuts the restaurant. Nice little gem for brunch in the neighborhood few minutes drive from the Home Depot. A cute tiny house with parking all round it. Inside is cozy and the waitresses were super friendly and helpful despite how busy this place is. The food is great. They are not kidding when they said the corn hash was homemade, you know it is definitely not from a can. Everything just blended very well together. The rye bread that it comes with is also excellent (or maybe it's the salted butter they put on it). The Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich was hot and fresh. My 5 year old would have eaten them whole thing if we did not order the fries. It is so fairly priced. The fries were $3.50, to put in perspective, a large fries from McDonald's costs $3.99. I was on a business trip to Fairfield, NJ. I wanted to avoid fast food if possible for breakfast. It was 7:30 the n the morning. I found Honey's Kitchen on Yelp and saw the ratings. I gave it a go. This is a small place. The decor is really cute. There are about 6 4-person tables, a counter, and a couple of tables in the corner. I walked in and saw the regulars in the corner tables. They were talking to the waitress. I took a seat as I was the only other person there. I was quickly served coffee and a glass of water. I ordered the Ham and Cheese omelet. It was simple and good. The coffee was good. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Overall this is a nice place to get a good and fresh "home" cooked breakfast. What a terrific hidden gem for delicious and affordable breakfast and lunch items right in the heart of Fairfield, NJ. The menu and specials all look amazing, especially the gyro hash (which I will be trying the next time I visit). The place is small and cozy, but packed with super happy customers with full bellies. I LOVE this place- the service is quick, the wait staff is friendly and the restaurant isn't super decorated but gives off the vibe that the food is the most important thing about the place. I feel like this is the type of breakfast spot that I could become a local if that makes sense lol. This is a nice little gem in town for sure! It is a little small house on a street, if you don't pay attention, you will miss it!! The staff was so friendly even the place was packed (since it's not too big)!! We were lucky to get a table shortly. Cute and simple restaurant tucked away in a remote area with great food, great service and great interior design - I especially loved the different salt and pepper sets on each table. Their coffee was decent. We ordered the short stack challah French toast, homemade corned beef hash and turkey bacon and egg white omelette. The savory food was tasty and not greasy, which is a common problem with many small restaurants and diners. The French toast wasn't too sweet. Ever since passing this place a few months ago, I've been looking forward to stopping in. This week, I had the chance to have lunch here. Honey's is a breakfast/lunch place. Breakfast is served I believe, until around 11:30. It's a really small place, but it's cozy and cool. On this cold day with flurries coming down, I chose the soup and grilled cheese special. The soup was a delicious cream of turkey. Pair that with a grilled cheese with tomato, a cup of coffee, and what could be better? The lunch menu looked very good with lots of choices. The thing that stands out about this place is that everyone was so friendly. From the server to what I assume is the owner behind the counter, they make you feel welcomed. They've got all the classic breakfast items such as pancakes, french toast, eggs, etc as well as an eclectic menu of delicious combinations and specials such as their own homemade corn beef hash and GYRO hash! My wife had the pesto omelette and I had the homemade corn beef hash which were absolutely delightful. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla off the Specialty Menu and it was very good! I thought the potatoes came on the side but it was added inside and served with pico. My boyfriend ordered the Breakfast Burrito. He really liked the combination of hot sauce and ketchup and plans to remake that at home! I am giving 4 stars to the pancakes. I felt like they weren't any better or special then what I can make from home out of a box. I really look forward to thick fluffy pancakes when ordering them out. If you don't like tight spaces I recommend ordering take out. All of the waitresses were very friendly and our service was excellent. Okay so to the most important part - the food. AMAZING. I couldn't decide on what I wanted cause everything sounded great. I decided to go with the Italiano omelette (sausage, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese). Wow. They were generous with the amount of cheese they gave it was so yummy. My friend got the challah French toast which is one of their specials.
