I love it here, Honey's is really close to my job and I literally drive by everyday. Recently we decided to give it a try and I instantly regretted not coming here sooner. We have bagel Fridays at my work place but I decided to opt out and my husband and I now go over to Honey's and eat breakfast instead. It is such a cute and cozy place, you walk in and it is so welcoming. We once were there on a snowy morning and the setting was so perfect, I felt like I was in movie lol. Just to start, when we walked in we found a cozy, clean and bright place with about 9 tables & counter seating. The servers & staff are very friendly and you could see them talking with the regulars and they were super friendly with all of the customers. The server read our mind & bright coffee asap and it was hot & delicious! So, the corn beef hash was piping hot, and loaded with large pieces of meat, potatoes, perfectly cooked onions & peppers!! I got it with egg whites on top and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My wife got the gyro hash with eggs and it was delicious!! The crazy thing is my picky daughter tried both hashes & she couldn't stop eating them! She loved the gyro hash and my wife had to tell her to stop taking her breakfast!! Went here for lunch today with my aunt, sister, and nephew. We had never been here before but had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back! The place is very small and parking is tight but there is a small lot you can pull into. Inside, there are tables and a bar, very cute and welcoming. Debbie waited on us, and she was so kind to every one of her customers, even hugging some giving off a loving, family vibe, and provided us with over-the-top service (even when my toddler nephew spilled over a nearly full glass of water). I ordered the Crab Cake Salad served over Mixed Greens with Fennel, Apples, Tomato, Cucumber, & Almonds. Served with Creamy Mustard Vinaigrette on the side, it was to die for. Honestly, I can say the best crab cake I've had this side of the Chesapeake... Honey's is a super cute and homey eatery. On my first visit I came for lunch with my husband and a friend and we weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was full, but they were quick to find us an empty table. Their menu isn't huge, but somehow has everything you might want to eat. I ordered a special of the day, which was poached eggs on toast with arugula and chick peas. I'd never eaten anything like it before, but I love all of the ingredients so I figured to give it a try. I absolutely loved it! The poached eggs were perfectly cook and they laid on top a bed of arugula that was lightly tossed in dressing. The toast added a nice crunch to each bite. Only available on Thursday and Friday FYI fellow yelpers. Hubby had a huge breakfast like lumberjack or something of the sort. Had everything. I had a gyro special. Delish. French fries so good. It's in a tiny house and they def maximized every inch of space! We tried their Crabcake salad and Caramelized French toast with fresh fruits - specials. OMG! SOOOOOO GOOD! Honey's is one of my favorite lunch spots in town. It has a small shore diner type feel down me... where everyone is welcoming and friendly. Although it's not a big place, the wait is never long and the service is always fast and accurate. My favorites here include the whole wheat pancakes, any type of eggs, and the huge salads. I used eat here when I worked in the area. I hadn't been in years and happened to be in the area with some time to kill so I decided to place an order for pickup. Im so glad I did the food was just as good as I remembered. I ordered the breakfast burrito which also came with delicious homefries, side of salsa and sour cream. There was so much food I ate half and had the rest for lunch. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the salsa, just my personal preference. They have a good set up for Covid protocol (barrier with a table in front outside for pickup). The food was prepared quickly and I was waiting in the parking lot, when the women came out to drop off another order. Been meaning to come here for awhile, but the hours start out way too early and end a little early especially over the weekend. Glad they serve brekkie while open. Had the scramble hash, coffee and a bite of the Honey's Wrap & OJ. The scramble had a ton of chorizo and loved the gooey cheese. It was a VERY large portion and came with pre-buttered toast (various options available although the butter negated the healthy multi-grain option). Might be a little over buttered but tasty. Coffee was passable and service was terrific. The wrap was a little plain, but definitely seemed healthy and came with seriously delish fries (cooked perfectly with that "crisp" on the outside without being over cooked, fried or soggy - yum!). So, since my boyfriend were lucky enough the have MLK Jr Day off from work, we decided that we were going to run a bunch of errands which included bringing my car in for servicing at the West Caldwell Mercedes Dealership. On our way there, we started to get hungry and decided to forego lunch reservations at another restaurant. We quickly used google and yelp to come up with Honeys Kitchen. When we entered the restaurant, it was surprisingly very small but busy, so that made me think that we would be in for a tasty meal. Unfortunately that was not the case. I can't really say anything bad about the service. Our waitress wasnt very friendly, but she was competent in taking our orders, so Im not going to complain about that. What I am going to complain about is the food we received. We ordered 2 scrambled eggs, Challah French toast , and the Egg, Taylor Ham, cheese, and potato breakfast sandwich on a hard roll to share. I started out with the challah french toast. A few bites into it I was shocked and dismayed to have bitten a foreign object that was about 2 cm rock hard, with a revoting chemical taste. I immediately called the waitress over to inform her of what happened. Eventually the owner came over to explain that it was not a foreign object but a SPICE which is used to flavor the batter. She went on in a very nonchalant matter that she would take the french toast off the check and walked away with no apology or acknowledgement that this SO CALLED SPICE should not have been wedged in the french toast. Based on the size of this foreign object, it could have been a choking hazard to a child. If the owner or waitress seemed sincere and just apologized, I wouldn't be writing this review. But I cannot in my sound judgement not voice my concerns due to the lack of quality control and accountability that occured while dining in this establishment. I think that they thought that taking the french toast off the check was going to pacify the situation as this was repeated a few times to me. It gave me the feeling that maybe they thought thats all I cared about. On a positive note, my boyfriend loved the breakfast sandwich and gobbled it down. I had a few bites out of my half but had to put it down due to me being so turned off by the situation with the french toast. LONG STORY SHORT..... I will not be returning. read more

Just picked up lunch for 6 via curbside takeout. I give this place a lot of credit: ordering online was easy/smooth, the pickup process was quick and seamless and they got all six meals correct to the last detail. I appreciated that the server was wearing gloves/mask and treating the virus precautions seriously. Not many small restaurants (let alone big chains) have been able to check all of these boxes for me over the past two months of quarantine. Oh an the food was warm and delicious! My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Small and cozy little place with plenty of tables available when we walked in. I had the the spinach and feta cheese omelette, which was a nice sized portion. Here's where it became a bit weird and the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars: The hospitality was non-existent. At first, when the waitress came over to take our order, she wasn't very welcoming at all. I made nothing of it, since maybe she was just having a bad morning. After our food comes out, she brings our plates over and by then my coffee cup was 1/2 empty. I didn't ask for more coffee right away because I thought she would notice and come back to fill my coffee cup. That never happened. So, I just eat my delicious looking omelette and pretty much finish my breakfast, with no coffee in my cup now. And not even a glass of water to wash down my food. So, I now have nothing to drink and my wife tried to get the attention of our waitress and some other waitress that looked angry at life, but no response. I wait and wait, thinking our waitress or someone else working may just come over and check on us, and perhaps bring me a coffee refill, but nope. At that point, I just get up with my cup and walk towards the counter where there is 2 women standing around, one of them looks at me like I had 5 heads, ignores my request to refill my cup. However, the younger girl at the counter notices and politely refills my coffee cup. Unbelievable. I give props to the chef who made our breakfast, good job!
