Come here a few times since my original review and honestly the service is not great here as I mentioned in my first review. The last couple of times I've been here the service has gone down hill. It's like you're a bother to them. They don't check on you throughout your meal. They're hard to find when you do need something. I watched other tables who came in after us and be done with their meals before us. Clearly if you're a regular you are treated better. The food is good here but the service is a real turn off. The waitress we had today will keep us from coming back in the future. It was like we were a bother to her. Strip mall location: yuk. Right next to Family Dentist: double yuk. BUT this place is always decked out for each holiday. Upside down Christmas trees would make Diana Ross and Stranger things proud. And the lamp lights...straight out of Christmas Story. I can't comment on the food but the seltzer tasted like the Passaic River prior to superfund cleanup. But I'll need to give the food and drinks another try for sure. If you're having a sad day, I'll his place will surely make you smile. read more

I came here with a girlfriend during the week for lunch and it was nice and empty. It is in the shopping plaza, so there's plenty of parking. They have such a variety on their menu which I love. I got their skirt steak salad, which was amazing my friend got tacos, which she really enjoyed as well. Service was great. Dear Yelp, Had a reservation for 9 people on a Friday at 4:30 for happy hour. Waitress was incredible. All food and drink orders were correct and delivered quickly considering how busy it was. The decor and ambiance was modern and fun. I had a swangria ($7) and shared some apps. Before the kids grabbed everything I was able to have a mozzarella stick (delicious) and a potato skin (good). I tried my husbands fried cauliflower and it was tasty. I had a steak quesadilla for my meal and it was ok. The chicken one looked better. Quick Review - Scale of 1 to 5 Arugula Pizza = 5 - Way better than expected. Chipotle Chicken Wrap = 4 - Ok, but on the small side w/ too much sauce. Bask Burger = 3 - Good size - A bit dry. Fries = 3 - Alright, but nothing special. Service = 5 - Fast, friendly and attentive. Value = 4 - Fairly priced. Decor = 4 - Busy bar vibe. Cool blue. Great place to catch a game. But too loud for conversation. Overall I came away impressed with my first visit to Bask 46. The pizza was surprisingly good. Overall, the food was better than average. The wings look excellent. We went to the movies at Cinemark in Wayne and for once didn't get popcorn. So were starving and almost hangry when we found Bask 46. Ice cold beer, delicious bacon-ranch pizza with soft & chewy & crispy crust and a tasty chicken sandwich. Staff here is so nice. Super helpful waitress guiding us to customer faves and always on top of it with refills and any other requests. Recommended. read more

I went to Bask during Christmas season. They had beautiful decor all over the restaurant. Im a fan of the onion soup here. We tried steak tacos but were not impressed, they were a little bland. Visited for lunch while in NJ and curious after watching Kitchen Nightmares. The interior creates a great vibe. The drinks were pretty good too. The brick oven wings were phenomenal and I could eat those over and over. The food, however, missed the mark when it came to the entrees. Maybe it was what we ordered but the bask 46 steak strip was really tough and lacked seasoning and the onion rings we had to send back because they were burnt and then we got some fresh ones, you could tell the originals were from the day prior. The regular skirt steak was also tough but had more flavor due to the chimichurri sauce. The broccoli I could tell was reheated because the stem ends were still cold and the mashed potatoes did not taste fresh or homemade, almost boxed/instant flavor. Drink prices during nom happy hour are also pretty high. 4 drinks, one app., 2 entrees came out to $150 and there is an automated fee included for credit card payments. read more

Went with my coworkers (we're all teachers) around 3pm after work. Not crowded at that time but was told we had a 90 minute time until we had to leave out table. 90 minutes were up but we just bought our last happy hour drink and waitress mention we can stay for 20 to finish. Hostess (pony tail hair style at the time) came 5 minutes after and says we have to leave. We ended up leaving with our full drinks to wait for a seat at the bar. We put in another reservation so we can continue to order and so on. The wait was another hour. After 45 we found two seats still waiting on our reservation. We asked the waiter was there a time limit at the bar and he said there wasn't. 15 minutes later the bartender asked if we were purchasing anything else we said no (because we're waiting to be seated) he mentioned that we had to go since there were other paying customers. Not ONCE have we seen anyone at the bar go through the same thing. Plenty of others were socializing with their drinks but we were asked to leave (6 of us in total). Never in my life have this happened. Once we left all of a sudden we get a text saying our table was ready. Honestly I hate to say it but this place gave racist. They were watching and timing us from the moment we stepped in. We were paying costumers and I will never suggest or return to this place. If you are black or a person of color, do not expect a comfortable experience. I only gave two stars because of the decoration and our waitress that we had. read more

What a great local gem! My husband and I have been here a few times, and they never disappoint. This time we brought my parents. We had fried calamari and cauliflower bites for our appetizers. The calamari was perfectly cooked, and so fresh. My mother said it was the best she's ever had! The cauliflower bites were also perfectly cooked! We went with the sweet chili flavor, and they didn't disappoint. For dinner we had a margarita pizza, cheesesteak sandwich, chicken tacos, and shrimp tacos. Everything was so delicious! Awesome place! Inside is bustling, lots to look at in terms of decor and plenty of TVs to watch. The space is larger than it appears with plenty of tables and booths to sit at. Menu is great, lots to choose from which can make it difficult. I wanted to try the pizza, but ultimately we decided to get the cheesesteak and a quesadilla to split. Both were delicious! The cheesesteak had a really nice cheese sauce on it, and was piping hot. The quesadilla was large, and served with guacamole, sour cream and pico for toppins which is a plus. I really hope the best for this place, since many businesses have failed in this spot before. I will be back! read more

A friend recommended this restaurant to me I went and was very disappointed. I do have to say, though the service was good, but my food was not. I ordered the skirt steak with broccoli and fries. My fries were good. My broccoli was a little bit soggy but when I cut into my steak it was completely raw. I touched it and it was cold. I had asked for medium rare, and it came out raw. So I have been meaning to go here because we are in the area literally all the time. Then it was on Kitchen Nightmares and I said I have to try it now. The verdict - I love this place. Not sure what was really wrong before, but I can tell you they got the food wonderfully right now. Let's start with the pizza. The crust was crazy delicious with a wonderful char. The traditional cheese was tasty but the Buffalo chicken was memorable. I was in the mood for nachos and decided to take a chance. I didn't get chicken or steak added and went with the standard chili it comes with. Can I tell you? It was everything I was jonesing for! The chips were very fresh and tasty. The guacamole was chunky, fresh and delicious. Even the sour cream was thick and not that runny gloopy supermarket kind. The pico on top was fresh and bright. They were honestly the best thing I have gotten in a restaurant in a while! The owner was walking around making sure everything was good and people were happy. TVs all over tuned to sports. Comfortable seating. Great vibe. I must go back and try a million other things on the menu that sound sooo good. What a great sports bar find! The place itself has many TVs spread out, plenty of seating and a cool vibe. We stopped by to catch some college games Saturday and were greeted with great service. The clientele looked to be sports fans which makes perfect sense so the music didn't fit with the sports vibe which I like. I don't know if it's a recorded selection by management or if it's a jukebox but it was disturbing to the point that I probably won't be going back.
