I pay my bill the same way each month. Now I'm being told that I'm not paying it right. And they have a higher amount due. Even though I've down graded. My cable/internet/landline cost more than my gas and electric bill! A rep who was telling me about a cell phone promotion intentionally misrepresented the promotion. She added my phone number to the promotion without my knowledge or authorization. Even after I told her the phone we were discussing was my brother's. And his was the only one on my account. And I went over the details more than once so that I could make sure I understood the promotion. Now my cable bill is higher than it's ever been and the way they deceptively arrange the "billing cycle" is totally misleading. If my service started on the first, then my billing cycle should reflect that. But it doesn't. How can my billing service stay the same? The 15th hasn't even come yet......I have finally had enough of their "stealing". I'm packing up my equipment even as we speak. I am giving them one star because zero stars aren't on the list. Today, I went to return my equipment in the Owings Mills 21117 location. I walked in and stood without anyone greeting me. After not being acknowledged, I then asked, was there a place to sign in? I was told to have a seat. I took a seat. A Comcast rep was finished with his customer. As I sat there, he didn't acknowledge me. I asked him could he help me or was he assisting someone else? He said, he didn't see my name in the que. I explained that I wasn't greeted nor did anyone tell me where to sign in. After all of that, he finally came over to assist me. I'll try to be balanced. Here is a great example of why monopolies are bad for business and consumers. Comcast assisted me to conclude that sometimes even a disconnected public official is required to impose checks and balances on businesses. For example, a useful covenant on ISPs might be a requirement that if a service for which a consumer is routinely charged is not delivered, that service charge should be automatically prorated - and routine audits should be conducted to determine companies' compliance. Why? Comcast has been horrible. Hands down the worst product I've ever paid for. From end of life modems without communication alerting me about the same to customer service reps trying to activate the same modem multiple times only for that modem to experience similar problems, Comcast has frankly failed. As soon as I figure out (on my own), how to retrieve the $200 gift card Comcast used to entice me to select their services a year ago!, I'll definitely switch service. To date, I've not received said gift card in the mail might I add. First off Xfinity gets -1,000 stars from me. I had their service for 4 yrs 2 of those yrs were under contract and the other 2yrs were month to month basis. Now a sales rep came to my house and signed me up for Xfinity home services and i got it. What the rep failed to inform me on is that i was locked back into a 2 yr contract with them for signing up for the security. He put in my file that i gave him a verbal agreement to the contract which was a damn lie. Who tf verbally agrees to a contract it should be in writing or recorded not verbal. So not only that I pay $30 a month for the home security system only for reps to call me every time i left my house to tell me that my zone 4 is going off. Mind you i do not have a zone 4. So i tell them if my alarm is going off why are you calling me instead of the police. The reps proceeds to tell me that i have to call the police to come out to my house. WTF am i paying you for if i have to call the authorities that is your job. So because of this i call to cancel my service in 2016. Upon cancelling i was told that i would only owe $159 after cancellation. I get 2 bills in the mail afterwards saying i own $859 and the other saying i owe $1500. So i call and speak with someone a few months ago and she tells me it is for the equipment so as soon as i send the equipment back it will go back down to the original $159. So i send it to them and my bill went down to $859. So i call back to speak with a supervisor today and explain the whole situation to her only for this wench to tell me that recorded phone conversations disappear after 60 days and because the rep who signed me up for the security put in my file that it was verbally agreed upon there is nothing she can do because it was yrs ago. This whole thing is affecting my credit. So when i had the service i was paying $250 a month and when i canceled i went to fios and pay $133 for the same services. read more

Just a note to let you know that setting up payments for a specific date does not always work. I setup payment for one month in their system, but, payment for "2" months was deducted from bank. When I contacted them to get a refund for the extra payment, I was told "WE CANNOT REFUND A PAYMENT FOR A PROMISE TO PAY" (for the next month that is not due until the next month). I wish my job were that vanilla. I would love to be in the dispute department when there is nothing to dispute. She also advised that I had Pay Per View charges in an accusatory tone. Why, yes I did-and I am happy to pay for that one movie. The charge is $10. It's a crock of s*it but if I can call it a day, I will get over it. I offer to call her right back, because I am on crutches and needed to make way to my purse and she made it clear that it wasn't going to happen. Eventually, I gave her $10. And by eventually I mean about 17 minutes on hold eventually. Not because it took me that long to crutch to my purse, but because I just wanted to. Up yours Comcast. Can you give zero stars? We recently moved to Baltimore and are forced to use Comcast in our area. I cringed when I heard this but my boyfriend had not read the horror stories yet and was cheerfully optimistic. Ha.... Fast forward two weeks. No hookup yet. No one has shown up for appointments. He calls every day and a rotation of things happen: he is told someone will be out that day (no one comes), he is put on hold and left there on purpose upwards of an hour, and he is told there is no record of any prior calls or appointments. Going on the third week and it is a joke. Oh, and my boyfriend's cheerful optimism has turned in to jests of slashing the comcast van's tires if anyone ever shows up so they can't leave until they actually solve the issue. During the eight month span that I've had Comcast, on at least five different occasions, technicians have shown up at my home because of technical problems with the television service. Each technician has tried a different approach, and the reception will be adequate for a period of time, but will revert back to the previous disruption. The picture is constantly pixalating, and finally nothing appears on the screen. I have unplugged the cable box multiple times, on a variety of occasions, to no avail. The customer service reps have tried pinging the box, and that hasn't worked. I even purchased their recommended "pods" for improved reception. Nothing seems to work. I would go back to Verizon Fios, since I never had a minute of trouble with them, but their programming choices are very limited. The sixth tech visit is slated for tomorrow. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting more lip service and continued poor reception. read more

Another terrible giant internet service provider strikes again. They might even be worse than Time Warner. Comcast may train its customer service employees to seem friendly (asking how your day was), but if they can't solve your problem, it's still bad customer service. Beware of the sneaky charges and unnecessary bundles they try to saddle you with. And good luck getting the same quote from the various array of customer service agents you keep having to reach out to as your problems persist. We as a country really need more competition and startup service providers or perhaps the government should step in as they have with public utilities and the electric companies. I have been a Comcast customer for over 20 years. "Upgraded" to X1. - huge mistake. 3 of 5 TVs don't work. Repairmen have been out twice. Still doesn't work. Waited on hold for almost 30 minutes each time three days in a row. Rep said a manager would call me. But didn't. On hold again - waited 25 min for an agent, then she put me on hold and never came back ( I waited over 30 min). I called again - waited 40 min on hold then was disconnected again. Technicians: super nice for the install. This review is for the product/service offered, rather than an office. Quality of service: so sad. Use it mainly for internet, which is ok if not skippy during peak hours. The TV services is completely horrible. Long list of movies that they DON'T have, only "clips" and I was halfway through watching a series show and they removed it from the play list. If I do find a movie to play, you have to set the quality to Low and plug in your ethernet cord, so the picture is all glitchy. I have to give this customer service center 4 stars because the center itself is reliable and the representatives are very helpful. Comcast as a service is absolutely awful and unfortunately I have to have service through them for my apartment complex. I won't focus on venting on the service. The service center is always quick or as quick as they can be with customer turn around. Unfortunately some of the customer service representatives aren't as polite as you would like. Dealing with Comcast online and through phone has been horrible and never reliable but every time I come in to the center I am able to speak to someone one-on-one to get everything taken care of. I am currently at $120 for free 3 months of HBO and plenty of channels on cable as well as Blast! internet. I'm not 100% sure in comparison of different companies rates but I believe I'm getting a pretty good rate. I'm very satisfied right now with Comcast and would recommend it for cable. If you are told they are going to send out a technician to set-up a cable box or something related to installation, mention to them that you would like to self-install it. It will take at least $50 off your monthly payment for that installation fee. Enjoy! read more

Comcast Business Class has no class. Our business has been without Internet and phone service for three days. I called and set up a repair and they give me the following day between 10 and noon. I arrive at work extra early and wait until 11:45am before I call to ask, "Where's the tech?" I'm told they rescheduled me for the next day. WHAT??? I complain and they put me on the "expedited list" to arrive today between 1-3pm. I wait until 3:30pm to call and ask, "Where's the tech?" I'm told they rescheduled me for "tomorrow" and now I want to cuss but I'm a pastor so I bite my tongue. I complain again and they say, "Your still on the list for today." I stay at the office until 7pm with no tech and no explanation. It's 8pm when I post this message but still no call. Buyer beware! read more

Internet chronically slower speed than what I paid for, especially at night. When trying to disconnect/stop my plan, there is no way to do it online. You can only call to disconnect and they don't provide a reference number. They make it more difficult to disconnect than necessary and are very non-transparent. I have no actual proof that I canceled. Just need to wait for the final bill via the mail and hope they canceled it properly. read more

I will NEVER recommend or USE Xfinity for anything in my household. I never thought about going back to Xfinity since I had it made by having Fios by Verizon. Fios has been great with their service and plan prices. It was until I had to move from Howard County to Baltimore County and find out that Fios wasn't available in my new area. This was such a disappointment. So I began to do my research of other competitors in the area and unfortunately aside from the different Dish networks Xfinity was more popular in my area. So I went online and set up the internet and cable. My appointment was scheduled for two days out to have a tech come and install everything. 24 hours go by and within that time I received multiple emails telling me to set up my new account via email along with reminders on when the tech was coming out. I have used Xfinity in the past and always had some type of issue with them. So the day before my tech was supposed to arrive I receive a call from an unknown number. I answer the phone and its Xfinity calling stating that I would need to pay them $400 + in order to have the tech come out. I explained to the tech that I just moved and I don't have that type of money to just pay that, so the rep says well I guess you won't need your appointment. The call ended and just like that I received a text stating that my appointment had been cancelled. But then the part that gets me is that I get an email on the day of my supposed to be appointment and states that the tech will be coming between the hours chosen. So I thought maybe that call could've been a scammer so I made sure I left work and went home to wait.....and waited. So the call must of been real because like the rep said the appointment will be cancelled. I wish Fios was in the neighborhood!!! read more

In the past two weeks it has been too slow to do anything so I finally called tog get a technician to come out. Two hours and fifty minutes collectively on the phone with Comcast customer service and troubleshooting, over two waiting for the technician to show up for our 6:30 appointment (he got here at 8:45), and then another 20 minutes on the phone with Comcast after he left trying to get the brand new modem to work. I was told by the customer service rep that Comcast does not have a costumer complaint center, and there was not an individual to whom I could make a formal complaint.
