The service was quick, professional, and reasonably priced for the scope of work. The owner was highly communicative and we work together to finalize the project details without issues. The work was completed in a timely manner, and they did an excellent job of keeping things tidy and cleaning up after themselves when done. If I ever end up needing residential networking installed at another local location, they will be the first folks that I call. read more

Trebor Tech did an incredible job installing a server rack and running six network drops throughout my three-story home. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and clearly took pride in their work. What really set them apart from the other four companies I got quotes from was their attention to detail -- they not only ran all the cabling cleanly, but also repaired and painted the drywall afterward, leaving everything spotless. My home posed some challenges since there's no traditional attic access, but they found a smart solution by cutting a discreet access point and installing a clean, removable panel that looks like part of the original design. They even went above and beyond by installing a drop-down TV mount in my living room since my fireplace mantel sits too high for comfortable viewing. The entire experience exceeded expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Trebor Tech again or recommend them to anyone looking for quality network or low-voltage work. read more

Could not be more pleased or impressed. Rob is a professional's professional--immensely knowledgeable, careful, thorough, and a pleasure to be around. Look no further for a job done right. Rob and his colleague installed ethernet throughout our three-story townhouse (7 drops in total). Like another reviewer, we previously had ethernet only in the basement, resulting in poor Wi-Fi coverage on the upper levels. Regarding Trebor Technical Solutions, I wholeheartedly echo what others have shared. During the consultation, as Sriram (2021) observed, Rob "took notes of the locations where I wanted the drops, estimated the length of each run from the networking rack, and how the drops would be wired, carefully noting the number of cuts needed." Indeed, watching Rob in action is impressive--you can see him map, anticipate, and solve problems, as if he can "see" behind the drywall, identifying the cleanest and most efficient pathways. Sriram also noted Rob's "attention to detail deserves special mention, from planning the project to execution." I agree completely. Chaz (2024) wrote, "My experience with Trebor Technical Solutions was top-notch. The owner, Rob, went above and beyond." Absolutely. Rob left our townhouse better than he found it. Originally, ethernet entered through a hole in the wall--Rob repaired that neatly. He also removed unnecessary coax cables, replacing those plates with new ethernet plates. As reviewers' pictures show, Rob meticulously labeled each line with its corresponding room. Dan (2022) shared, "Rob is a pleasure to work with and makes everything easy. He pays close attention to details but also makes amazing recommendations." Couldn't agree more. He has a high work ethic and high standards. Todd (2022) wrote, "There's every reason you should immediately choose this company. Rob, the owner and a worker bee, is highly motivated to do right and technically trained by several mainstream internet and TV companies. He is extremely responsive and an awesome communicator." Rob's background (having worked at major companies) and continued work experience (providing expertise and skill to a variety of clients) are indeed impressive. Kyle's (2021) general contractor remarked on "how astonished he was with the gentle and delicate approach Rob took to making cuts in the drywall. Even though I was running drops across three floors and opposite sides of the house, Rob made only the smallest of cuts in the fewest places and did an excellent job patching up the drywall." Exactly. These were also my observations: Rob accomplishes tasks effectively with minimal disruption. Notably, he expertly repairs drywall cuts, leaving them paint-ready--a service many contractors overlook, as Sriram (2021) mentioned. Finally, Rob's patience deserves special mention. He patiently walks you through each step of the process at the level of detail you prefer, answering questions thoroughly--from the initial consultation through to completion and beyond. It was remarkable how patient and kind he was when explaining the system, piece by piece, and assisting us in setting everything up. We're grateful to have met and worked with Rob and his colleague. If you want commercial-grade quality and craftsmanship in your home, you've found the right team. read more

Really appreciated the consultation they gave me. They were on time and the service they provided was excellent. They were able to identify my issue and recommend solutions to me that I can do myself! Something most companies would never do and instead try to charge you $1000! Not at TTS. They are kind enough to simply help explain highly technical things in a way that anyone can do it. read more

I hired Rob and his team earlier this summer (June 2021) to hardwire my 3 level townhome with Ethernet and terminate all the connections into a 6U networking rack. I also had him mount a TV on the wall and route the wiring behind the wall. I contacted about 6 vendors to get quotes and Rob was the only vendor who would not give a quote without inspecting the location. That's a plus in my book, since that way you can get realistic estimates and the contractor gets an idea of the challenges involved. Rob arrived promptly for the quote, took notes of the locations where I wanted the drops, estimated how long of a run each drop would be from the networking rack and how the drop would be wired, making a note of the number of cuts that would be needed per drop. He also let me know that his team would make sure that each drywall cut would be patched/spackled and I would only need to paint over them. This was an advantage since most of the contractors I got quotes from would not fix their drywall cuts, which would have required me to hire a drywall contractor to fix/patch their cuts. I received an estimate from Rob the following week and the pricing was extremely competitive, especially when accounting for the drywall patches. He gave me a payment schedule and a job start and end date. He also let me know what parts I needed to purchase - a network rack and a power distribution system of my choice. Rob and his team arrived promptly each day, let me know what areas they'd be working in and kept me abreast of progress. Due to the unique construction of my townhome, Rob encountered a few unforeseen issues but he was able to devise plans on the fly to get around the obstacles and proceed with the work. The job took a day longer than originally planned due some of these unforeseen issues, but Rob was able to adjust his schedule and help finish up the job the next day. Rob's attention to detail deserves special mention, from planning the project to its execution- especially in the way the TV was mounted with the wires hidden (and separated in two channels - low voltage and line). I would heartily recommend Rob and his crew for everything from wiring/mounting your TVs, home theater systems to wiring your whole home for ethernet. I would definitely hire his crew again if I had any projects that required his skill and expertise! read more

I needed to find a home networking solution to provide internet connectivity since my third floor office could not receive wi-fi from my basement access point. After doing some research it looked like MOCA over my existing coax would be ideal. Rob came on site, discussed the pros and cons of MOCA vs wired ethernet, and installed the setup, explaining as he went. All during the initial consultation, for an inexpensive price. Would absolutely go back to Trebor for further network-related services when needed. read more

We were looking to upgrade the internet setup at our home with CAT6 wired throughout key places in our home to optimize our home office setup and improve our overall WiFi connection throughout the home. The team at Trebor Technical Solutions responsed quick. The consulation process was very informative and effective as we mentioned our requirements. The team was very attentive and provided us with a number of options before going with the most effective solution to meet our request. The job itself took 2 days and ended up with 8 drops total each with a Access Point as well installtion of the main Switch unit. The team was very precise and professional in how the carry out their work. Definitely will look to Trebor Technical Solutions for future work when needed and definitely recommend! read more

Rob wall mounted two TVs in my condo and hid the wires in the walls. We thought for about .0002 seconds about doing this ourselves and I am SO happy we didn't. He also moved the electrical outlets and did things we just couldn't have done. He was recommended by a neighbor who had a TV installed over her fireplace and sung their praises. We are very happy with how things look, but Rob was over an hour late to our appointment than he was scheduled to be and needed much more time than I had or had been quoted to get the work done. Thankfully my husband had a surprise day off and could make things work, but if that had not been the case I would have been in a real bind! (They said they would arrive at 8, but at 7:45 I received a text saying they would be there between 8:30-9:00. They arrived at 9:30, which still wasn't within their later window). I had told them I needed to be done by 11:30, which they said was no problem, but they were there until 1:30pm). Part of the reason this took so long is that this appears to be a really small operation, as Rob took calls and scheduled other appointments throughout his time with us that took time away from completing the work for us. The install also came at a slightly higher price due to some additional parts he hadn't quoted me for, which just felt a bit excessive given how expensive the installation was already and the fact that it was pretty standard for both TVs. I'd still go back to them for other A/V needs (like a soundbar or moving our router or installing an nest, for example). Rob was really really nice and walked us through every step of the process, so I didn't feel like the upcharge was an attempt to hose us, I just wish it had been calculated in at the get-go. read more

I used this service back before COVID-19 in February and had Rob mount one of my televisions in my bedroom. He did a great job. He and I discussed through Thumbtack and text messages him coming back out to my home to install possibly a outdoor video camera and mounting another television in my basement. Sadly after COVID, there was a halt which I understand and was myself unwilling to have contractors in my home. However as Thumbtack was back in service some months later in June, Rob would not respond back to me via Thumbtack and stated the level of demand picked up and he was very busy. Again, I understood. However as a paying customer who submitted prior to COVID a request for work to be completed, I thought I was seen equally the same as others who were getting services completed. I could have been offered help from someone else in the company but instead I felt ignored as I reached out in June and recently this month (October) and after several messages to Rob, I stopped and took my money to another company. Sadly I have to get Trebor 2 stars (updated due to lack of responsiveness and the how my 5 star rating for 1 job was used as a means for trying to cover up the lack of response in Thumbtack). The work for the price was good but customer service not so much. I've since paid another company to mount 2 televisions and other technical work that was needed. I would recommend this company but would say to be aware that customer service may not be the top priority for everyone equally. Update: It speaks volumes that Rob would respond to this comment through Yelp but not in thumbtack and yes I had given your company 5 stars in thumbtack based on the service completed in February 2020 for the one tv mounted but however the lack of responsiveness from July through now in October 2020 is what I am speaking of not to mention of course how you have just responded shows my exact point. In customer service you should seek to make things right and supply a resolution, not try to hide behind a 5 star rating given months ago for a job that is not the subject of this review. If thumbtack would allow the ratings to be changed, I would update my response. Lesson learned with this company on standards of customer service. I'll take my money elsewhere and have. read more

I contracted Rob and his team (Trebor Technical Solutions) to install Ethernet wiring at my new home. They professionally installed 4 Ethernet drops throughout all three levels of the house, patched all the drywall holes and did a great job with setting up the cable management in the basement and following up to make sure I had gotten my router and APs set up well. Throughout the job they asked my opinion where ever needed on location of the jacks, where to run the cables in exposed mechanical room, etc. I would definitely recommend them for any home networking and Ethernet wiring work and will use them again if I have further need. read more

Complete professionals. We moved into our new home and there were ZERO ethernet ports, phone jacks, or coaxial cable terminals. So that means we could have Verizon technicians randomly drill holes through our home and leave us a long cable (obviously not ideal), or have the home professionally wired with coax, data and phone runs exactly where we wanted them. A few companies bid on the project, but Trebor was by far the most thorough in their site visit (some other companies didn't even want to bother to come look at the home and provided a quote sight unseen - bad sign!). During the site visit, Rob, one of the owners, looked at all the bulkheads, walls, cavities, and planned out exactly how cabling was going to get from the FIOS box in the basement, up to the main level, and up to the attic then down to the bedrooms upstairs. The company's attention to detail leading up to the work inspired confidence, and that is why we chose them. Couldn't be happier with the results. We feel we "future proofed" our home for the next 20 years, providing coax and ethernet ports in almost every room, as well as landline phone jacks. The company was fast, clean and professional, and even added in commercial grade access points and switches. Do yourself, and your home, the biggest favor - choose Trebor! Great value as well. read more

I took the time to send several detailed quote request inquiries both on yelp and on vendors website with no response. I've also left voicemails. I'm disappointed by this vendors lack of responsiveness, especially because this was the vendor I was interested in doing business with based on Yelp reviews. I finally decided that I wanted to remove my personal hack-job of a home networking setup, and get a professional to come in and run ethernet drops through the walls. I had very specific requests. I wanted a minimum of 10 gbps, and over shielded lines to minimize cross-talk. I reached out to several companies. Many flat out said no the moment I mentioned shielded lines, saying it was "too difficult to work with". A few companies came out, and said no because it was more of a construction job. One or two companies answered questions in such a way where I doubted they knew all of the things needed to utilize shielded lines, or make the appropriate cuts in the wall to run the lines. Finally I found Rob. He came out to the house almost immediately. He completely understand what I was trying to do, and laid out an exact plan to achieve that. I was remarkably impressed by his knowledge, clarity, and friendliness. A week latter he came out over 2 days and executed the job. I found a problem with one of the drops the next day when doing some testing, and Rob came right back out the next day and immediately fixed the problem. My general contractor arrived a few days later to do a little unrelated work in the house, and commented on how astonished he was with the gentle and delicate approach Rob took to making cuts in the drywall. Even though I was running drops across 3 floors, and on opposite sides of the house, Rob made only the smallest of cuts in the fewest places, and did an excellent job patching up the drywall. Trebor Technical Solutions made substantial improvements to my home network. I cannot say enough about the polished and professional quality of Rob's work. He helped with a massive project on our just-purchased townhome, which included: wiring the entire house for ethernet with ports in every room; installing four wifi access points and four security cameras; mounting a frame TV and heat shield on a fireplace; installing a ceiling light, a video door bell, and an outdoor motion-sensor light; setting up our Fios internet; and housing our switch and other equipment in a panel hidden in a wall. His team was meticulous in setting all of this up, and in repairing any necessary cuts to our drywall. The end product was seamless and pretty, and all of the technology has functioned perfectly. You should hire Rob and his team not only for their high quality service/craftsmanship, but also for their skill in project planning and problem solving. Time and time again, Rob steered us toward practical solutions that saved us money and fit our specific needs. (Heck, he even pointed out issues for us to raise with our plumber/electrician!) We hired Rob over the 4 other contractors we interviewed because his broad skill set and instincts stood out. We could not have made a better choice. Rob is simply incredible. I needed Cat 6 Ethernet cable wired throughout my home on three levels, which I thought would be a relatively simple job. Boy was I wrong. Turns out the spaces and crevices we had to work with were EXTREMELY narrow and difficult to access. And that is the biggest understatement ever. What should have been a day job turned into a 3-day operation. Nevertheless, Rob handled each and every obstacle with professionalism and grace throughout the entire process, and really went above and beyond to get the job done. We were up until 3am working on one day, which I felt really badly about. Despite every new challenge and obstacle (and the substantially more time it took), Rob even stayed true to his word on the pricing. I simply could not believe it. Rob has an unparalleled work ethic and is extremely trustworthy and honest. Like Tim said in his review, Rob is someone who I wanted to invite over to hang out after the job was done! In fact, my wife and I are hoping to have him over for our house-warming BBQ! He's that great. Really. You will NOT be disappointed with Rob's work or the way he approaches his business. Rob came out to my home to initially mount two televisions but that changed and I needed at the time only one television to be mounted. Rob was very professional even when I needed to reschedule a date to accommodate my schedule. Rob had all of the equipment he needed on his truck which was helpful. Rob respected my home and understood my son who had special needs may not do well with noise (drilling) and so he was okay that I may need to step away to be in the same room as my son if he was upset by the noise. Rob did the job and was kind enough to let me know ahead of time of any costs that may be associated with variable changes due to unexpected issues. I appreciated that Rob kept the same price he quoted me but I understood that the cost may fluctuate depending on the work. Rob ensured he had plastic covering to cover my carpet to prevent debris from getting all over the area he was working with. He cleaned up after the work was completed by using his own company vacuum. I would recommend this company. I will be having him come back to do more work soon.
