Terrific. I had a CD stuck inside the CD player, and the marvelous technician wrote back and told me how to take the case off and remove the CD. It was a simple procedure, he wrote, or he could come out for a fee I don't remember now. I do appreciate his candor and help and was able to retrieve the CD. Bought a house with surround sound. My dad, my son, and even I was unable to figure out how to get my TV to play! Before anyone says anything, Youtube did not help. So I posted a message on Yelp for assistance and received 4 responses. Due to the previous yelp reviews and the quotes I received, I decided to go with Dan. He was great. My system is older but he was able to come in and set everything up. Dan even took the time to show me how to work the receiver. We Can't say enough good things about Dan. We moved into a home with in home speakers and were unable to figure out the configuration with our Denon receiver. One other audio company was unable to assist. Dan, spoke to us on the phone and talked us through how to do it (at no charge) and he offered to come over and take a look if we could not do it. My husband was able to follow his instructions and get about 60% there, so we did have Dan come over to trouble shoot. Dan was able to quickly resolve our speaker issues and even made the configuration of our TV and Living room sound better. The technician, Larry, was prompt and not overwhelmed by the challenge of parking in my busy neighborhood. While he had not assembled my particular table top tv stand before, he intuitively made quick work of it: finishing in about 40 minutes. He was personable. His home theater experience allowed him to offer advice on sound bars and speakers. He showed me how to dismount or raise the tv, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I contacted Dan to determine if my Yamaha home theater CD player was worth repairing or just purchase a new one. He suggested I open up the encasement and clean out/blow out any dust in the interior of the unit. I did that and forced the disc changer to move a bit, and it works great again. I had my basement remodeled. During that process I installed Ethernet cable throughout my house since all of the drywall and framing was gone for a few days in the basement. Well. Once all was completed we find out that the drywall contractor had ruined one of the Ethernet connectors. Contacted Transcend with a major "help me" as we needed/wanted Ethernet for our new office for WFH and wanted the stability of a hard line. It was a small job but one that I could not do. I reached out to a few companies about upgrading my home's networking (new cable runs, wireless access points, and new router+switch). When it was built, the builders initially did run Cat6 ethernet cable throughout the home (poorly done and not really done to standard). When Dan came through to look at the house, he was very quick to identify many of the issues that we were having in our house. He was able to intelligently talk about what we needed to do and was great to work with. He came back quickly with a reasonable estimate, and had no problem with talking me through questions I had about costs for labor and equipment. His crew was able to come out a few days after we signed our work contract. The only ding I have is that they initially estimated 2-3 days of work and it ended up taking about 9-10 days. I'm still rating a 5-star, because I think a lot of this was not their fault (builders insulated previously used cable holes, misaligned walls, and one of their crew ended up getting very sick and being hospitalized--luckily he is now doing much better!). They were honestly great in trying to deliver a great product/service even when facing some difficult wire fishing tasks. And when needed, we found a successful solution/pivot. At the end of the day, the final product was great. The crew was on-time every day, very respectful and communicative, and really made a point to do things the right way. I would definitely use them again for future home networking/wiring work. read more

Did not correctly understand my request to come out for an estimate and showed up to my door without me being home. I then tried to re-schedule but the estimate wouldn't come until well after a week. I absolutely got the hint the company wasn't interested in making it work ... they did not want to come out to my house to provide an estimate in an appropriate manner or timely fashion. Very unreliable. Dan responded to a request for a quote. He asked for and I agreed to connecting with him through a Zoom call so that he could look at the work that needed to be done. I spent 30 minutes with him on a Zoom call, walking him through everything that needed to be done. He agreed that he could easily do the work. I asked and he agreed to provide a quote for the work. I followed up the next day as well, giving him additional information. He responded and agreed to provide a quote. I never heard from him again.
