Clean, simple, and nice!! Mr. Abdallh did a fantastic job! He arrived a little bit earlier than the scheduled time, but also called ahead of time to make sure I was cool with that. This knowledgeable, young man gathered all his equipment from his utility van and carted them up to my apartment. He even took off his shoes at the door, so to not mess up my off white carpet. My need was for a small installation of a home theater area that included an ATMOS speaker setup. The area was somewhat unusual in that ductwork was situated so that speaker placement may not have been feasible. Abdulla came out for the initial review of the space and heard my needs and some of my thoughts about how things could be done. He was very patient and great ideas that i had not really thought through, including speaker placement, and types of speakers that may work best for my space. There was no pressure whatsoever in terms of what speakers to get, but he did provide some very good options for Atmos which could be fully adjustable so that sound would not bound off the soffit and hit the correct seating position. I had asked about the Rear Surrounds as well and thought my choice was good given the price, again no pressure to change, but I suspect he would have made good recommendations if they were not up to par. Install day, him and his team arrived and went though what they were going to accomplish. After the initial eval. and some thought about my space he said my initial plan would work but would be better a idea as it would mean less holes to route the speaker wires. In addition to running and mounting the speakers, I inquired about mounting the TV, as i was going to do this myself. He added this to the work order at a very reasonable price. All in all the Team at RUM AV, added 4 Atmos speakers, 2 rear surrounds, ran the wires, hooked them up to my new receiver, ran the sound test software to get the sound just right, mounted the television, hid TV wires using a previously purchased box, and lastly ran 2 Ethernet lines. They did a great job and could not recommend them enough, I just wish i could have been there for the final walk through but something came up last minute. I am sure they were excited to show off their work and I was bummed that I could not hear the final run through of what they completed and some of what they did to get the sound setup just right. read more

I asked Abdallh and his team to mount my new 4K projector and install ceiling Atmos speakers. Adballh went above and beyond my expectations as he did way more than what I was expecting. When he found my new projector was bad, he was patient and came back when my replacement projector arrived. He even calibrated my speakers and is very knowledgeable about everything related to home theater. Abdallh gave me great advice on my home theater. He patched my dry walls very well as he had to run wires to the Atmos speakers as well as run a new 8K HDMI cable. As previously mentioned in another review, they were very clean in the work they performed. Rum AV Solutions also sell home theater products - I wished I had known that before I bought my projector as their prices are discounted and very competitive. Abdallh is a true pro. I've been thinking of putting in a big screen tv or projector screen in the basement for some time and wanted a turnkey recommendation for screen, projector, surround speakers, sub, receiver, install, etc. Called numerous companies both big and small and many just couldn't or wouldn't do something within my budget. Abdallh also quickly responds via Yelp messaging unlike other similar a/v companies with good ratings. I'm always surprised when companies aren't responsive. Traded a few messages based on what I wanted and Abdallh scheduled a time to come by and review the space and project. From there he made recommendations on the equipment and provided a quote. We ordered several of the components via Amazon and he picked up others. Scheduled the install a few weeks out and he and his assistant came by in the AM and worked thru the day to complete the project as best he could. We ran into an issue when Amazon delivered the wrong projector so we fast tracked delivery and Abdallh came back in a few days to finish things up. The only other issue is a slight buzzing sound from the projector which I am trying to determine if that is standard or a problem. Not a reflection on Rum AV but something to consider when ordering from Amazon as they first sent the wrong projector and there may be an issue now with the correct one. Besides that, everything came out great - what a home theatre system! The sound is awesome and the picture is outstanding . I contacted Abdallh as we recently moved into a renovated DC rowhouse and wanted to install several ethernet drops inside as well as cabling for four POE external security cameras. He was able to come out for a quick site visit in less than three days from initial contact and provided an extremely reasonable quote in less than 24 hours. The actual work was scheduled and completed within five days from acceptance. Abdallh was very responsive and professional, and provided some extremely helpful insight regarding pros and cons of various security camera systems, ideal camera placement, and suggested some great equipment and accessories to help build out my server closet in the time leading up to the scheduled install day. If you've ever had to fish cables through a wall you know that it can be trying in the best of circumstances, and DC rowhouses can be fairly challenging given the older architecture and brick walls. Our rowhouse presented some additional challenges as it has a finished basement with no drop ceiling as well as no attic access. Despite these challenges, Abdallh and his team worked tirelessly for more than eight hours straight to get all of the wiring completed in one day. They were extremely neat and tidy, wearing shoe protectors whenever they entered the house and never making a cut without running a vacuum to minimize dust and debris. Honestly I think that the floors were cleaner when they finished than they had been to begin with. Abdallh was very deliberate with each of the cuts he made, ensuring consistent sizing and always saving the drywall cutout (rather than pushing it into the wallspace as some installers do). Once the install was complete they then went through each hole and reattached the cutout with wood bracing, making the drywall patching significantly easier. They were able to complete all of the requested wiring with no issue, even taking some creative routing to help minimize the need to drill additional holes into the house exterior structure. Whenever there was a question or need for input they made sure to ask before proceeding, and Abdallh was even kind enough to mount the security camera bases into the brick walls after he inquired and realized I did not own a hammer drill. They even went above and beyond and helped to move my Verizon ONT so that it would also be inside my server closet, despite the difficulties in fishing delicate fiber through the wall and the fact that I had forgotten to include this in my initial request. When all of the wires had been run, they made sure to check all connections (including the fiber), label each cable, and ensured neat and tidy cable management throughout the maintenance spaces.
