Excellent service and affordable price! Philip hung a 75 pound giant wall chessboard. I was…read moreimpressed with the results. He made sure it was balanced and placed at the perfect height. The big chessboard required metal brackets. Philip ensured that the piece was attached to the wall securely. Overall, very professional. I will definitely hire him in the future. He is also very friendly.

I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

It pains me a great deal to post a less than favorable review of someone I became really cool with,…read moreinitially requesting his installation service on behalf of my employer and then for my own property, and referring him to my HOA President for a project. I have more than a few issues with Duane and the way he conducts business. In no particular order of annoyances and aggravating factors: Every proposal came with hidden fees for "parts" or "I had to do extra stuff". Cleaned used paint brushes in my "new" bathroom and kitchen sinks. Dumped excess grout mixture on street out front. Left workers inside my place alone...folks he didn't know. (hired from the streets, maybe!?!) Had his elderly parents to re-paint my metal security door. (see pic of their poor handy work for $200) Duane was hired to relocate my TV from one wall to the another. The proposal included removing the existing electrical outlet and installing a new one for the TV. I asked Duane to leave the existing electrical outlet. Within 2-3 days of installation, the TV magically extended from the wall and would not stay in place (see pics). With the wall bulging and splitting, I placed a blow-up mattress under the TV because I was certain it was going to crash onto the floor. Duane arrived 3 days later to repair his poor workmanship. The process took a few hours. Upon completion (see pics), he presented me with a bill to correct his poor workmanship, at which I express concern. He said it was for "extra parts" and removing the old electrical outlet, but was "not charging me for labor". I paid the fee to remove the electrical outlet because I knew I would never do business with him again. He was paid twice to remove the same electrical outlet. When Duane first came to my place, he expressed his dismay at the previous contractor's work. He replaced bathroom tiles, filled cracked grout, and replaced wood panels that were installed in the bathroom. According to him, my previous contractor put wood panels next to the tile because he was hiding something. I agreed that he could replace the wood panel. See Duane's very poor handy work in pics. My original contractor's work is much better than Duane's. Al I would NOT recommend Duane. Duane should stick to selling real estate and nothing dealing with remodeling or TV installations.

Highly recommend Duane based on numerous hires over the past 5 years. He has installed 4 TVs, 3…read moreceiling fans, and smart switches for me. He is responsive, professional, and his quality of work speaks for itself.
