Abdullah and team were great to work with. We live close to Rockville and even though the distance seemed to be a problem in the beginning, Abdullah worked with us, according to our time, even opting for a weekend visit if that is what was required. They helped install 2 AP's, 1 POE Switch, 4 cat6 lines, terminating all the existing cat5 and mounted 3 TV's. The job was done in a very professional manner, and he's got a customer for life. I would recommend this vendor to all my friends when they are in need for these services. read more

I was looking to troubleshoot a speaker and have some speaker wires routed through the wall. I contacted a few places on Yelp and Abbey was one the quickest to respond and was very easy to communicate with. After scheduling an appointment one time where he was unable to find parking (make sure there is parking space for his big van) the second time he came out it was a breeze. He was super knowledgable and straightforward, explained what he could and couldn't do and never tried to upsell or pretend to do things he couldn't. He installed and routed the speaker wires, troubleshot the broken speaker, and also rerouted another cable I decided to have him take a look at. His work was high quality, he had all the tools and parts needed, and he was dependable. I will definitely be using him for any similar jobs I need help with in the future and would definitely recommend him. read more

The set- up-----Asked for a quote from Rum Av Solutions for fixing my surround sound system and possible WIF extension. Abdallah contacted me within the day and scheduled a visit. At the visit he diagnosed the problem, did an interim fix ( got surround sound working) and said would send a quote for a permanent fix. He sent the quote a day later and we scheduled the service. He also looked at my WIF situation and suggested an extender fix that took money from his pocket and gave me the fix I needed. Abdallah and his assistant came out and in less than 2 h I had the system working and me trained. I have worked with several AV groups to try to keep my system running and updated ( 22 years and counting). I can say without reservation that Abdallah was the best experience yet. When he left, I had a working system with up-to date software control--AND I understood the system and once again have whole house sound and full use of my very expensive sound system. So if you are like me hesitant to engage AV solution folks because you have had not the best experiences-- based on my experience I would tell you don't worry - take the jump- Abdallah and Rum AV Solutions. quality service! Thanks Abdallah!!! read more

The attention to detail and obsession with perfection was not what I expected given the reasonable price I was quoted. I would absolutely recommend this company to friends and family. I know I'll be using their services in the future. read more

Awesome, awesome service. Before I jump into my experience, I just wanted to preface this by saying that these guys are super professional, very reasonably priced, and extremely good at their job. If you need anything home theater-related to be done, no matter how big or small, don't hesitate to give these guys a call. So here's what we needed done. First, we needed ethernet to be wired throughout the house. I reached out to about a dozen different companies; most of them either said they wouldn't do it, they couldn't do it, or they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the job. Abbey came in to the rescue with a great quote and was able to schedule an appointment within days. He really impressed me with how well he knew his stuff - he was very knowledgeable and explained everything that was wrong and needed to be fixed. He originally quoted me about 2 hours at his hourly rate, but he was done in a little bit more than an hour and only charged me half of what I was expecting to pay. Here's where they really went above and beyond. The week after they set up our ethernet wiring, the speakers we have built into the house gave out. I messaged Abbey on a Saturday night and got a response almost immediately - really shows their dedication. He was able to set up an appointment really quickly, and he found out it broke due to some faulty wiring that was not their fault at all. Again, this was NOT their fault, the wiring was just bad and coincidentally broke. He spent about an hour diagnosing the problem and even used some of his own equipment to help fix it. The best part about this is he fixed all of our issues as a courtesy. I felt bad and offered to pay for his time the second visit around, but he politely said no, even though this was unrelated to the first job. Again, awesome work, and I'll definitely be using them in the future for any of my home theater work. Highly recommended. read more

This is my second time using RUMAV, and Abdallah is great, he is easy to work with and he understands all your needs and budget, he will provide different options for whatever you want. Both times I used Abdallah I was getting a home theatre setup and each time they did a great job never left a mess and amazing customer service. I had a few minor issues each time the setup was complete, and I contacted Abdallah and he came back a second time to resolve all my concerns. If anyone is looking for a home theatre, I would definitely recommend RUMAV, and I am sure all the other services they provide are also amazing. read more

Communication and service is 5*. They did a great job in our commercial space (a new restaurant buildout). Other contractors made excuses - these guys made results. Thank you! read more

Best TV and Home Theatre people you can work with! I had a couple jobs done needed included mounting a 60 inch, hiding wires for a 55 inch, and fixing a terrible job done by Mr Handyman on a 32 inch. First off, Abbey arrived on time to the minute and carried in his tools and vacuum and you can tell this guy was prepared for the job. He also completed everything much quicker than I expected (probably less than 2 hours total for everything) and it looks super professional and clean. He also went above and beyond and fixed all of Mr. Handymans mistakes on my 32 inch which i had done the week before. Also, very affordable. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your TV/AV needs. I made the mistake of getting a handyman and non specialists to do one of my TVs and you see the difference with their work and Rum AVs. They do this stuff for a living and you wont be disappointed. I'll work with them for all my audio visual needs in the future!!! read more

I was in need of having five in-wall speakers relocated to different walls for my surround sound. After comparing several quotes I hired Abdallh due to cost and the positive Yelp reviews. What a great decision! He provided a quote within 20 minutes after I provided a description of what I needed. I then sent him several pictures to confirm the cost and he said the price would not change. The day of the work his earlier appointment cancelled so he was able to arrive early (after checking with me). He and his partner brought all of the necessary equipment and were incredibly detailed and careful throughout the process. They asked me questions and provided options and recommendations (VERY knowledgeable) while they worked to make sure everything was just what I wanted. They ran into a few challenges but found solutions for everything. For example they discovered a PVC pipe and gas pipe behind the wall that had no extra space around them. They found ways to get the wires around by making small notches in the drywall. They were also able to minimize drywall cutouts by using pre-existing wires that they found (and they tested each one to confirm they were in peak condition). There were also studs in inconvenient locations but he made everything work without jeopardizing the structure of the wall interior. Perhaps most impressive, after installing two of the speakers, they discovered that three of the speakers were more powerful than the other two (slightly different model numbers). They uninstalled them and placed the three powerful speakers as my front channels and the two others as my rear speakers (they didn't need to mention this to me and it would have saved them extra work - shows how honest they are and they really take pride in doing everything correctly). As an added bonus, after they were done, they cleaned up and organized all of my HDMI, Ethernet, and other wires that are connected to my receiver. They do not patch or paint the drywall but none of the other quotes I got would either. They did secure the cut drywall back in the wall so there aren't visible holes. I asked Abdallh if he works with anyone and he said he will provide their contact information (you need to ask - he won't provide otherwise since he doesn't want to seem likes he's pushing anything into the customer). I give Rum AV Solutions my highest recommendation. It is such a breath of fresh air to work with people that are punctual, competitively priced, friendly, knowledgeable, and do an awesome job. If I need more work they will definitely get another call from me. read more

First time reviewer! I contacted Abbey to do a couple of TV's in my house and he was very responsive and did a great job. Explained his prices to me (which were very reasonable) and was very flexible about coming to my house to hang the TV's. I even had an old TV mounted on the wall that he took down free of charge. Very happy with the service and quality of the work, would definitely recommend him to anyone. read more

Use this company if you want a pain free process that is highly professional. He did an impeccable job. He was quick to communicate with me from the start and maintained great communication throughout the process. He even ordered and brought the mount I needed with him. This saved me time and stress. His prices were a huge value taking into account everything that was included. He also made a reasonable recommendation about the height and kept us from choosing too high of a position. He knows his stuff. I would absolutely use Abbey in the future for any of our mounting needs. He used a vacuum and left the space clean upon completion. Five stars all the way!!! read more

Would you like your TV mounted at the best price AND see an impressive feat of strength? Then you should contact Abdallh at RUM AV solutions. After contacting several Contractors on Yelp, he had the best price and did the work efficiently and perfectly. Others were charging almost double than what RUM was. Things you should know: From everyone I got quotes from, they all said you will have to repaint after they patch and put cords behind the wall. This was no different. So you may have to sand and paint your wall the day after depending on the kind of service you receive. Finally, that feat of strength. Abdallh arrived alone. I had a 75 inch TV that needed to be mounted above a fireplace. I offered to help it up, but my assistance was not needed. He hoisted the TV alone, walked up the step ladder, and just like that, the TV was mounted. It was amazing. When he left, I felt the need to do some pushups. Instead, I watched TV. read more

I had Abdallh install 2 tvs on my wall, an 86" in my family room and a 70" in my bedroom. In both instances, the install came out fantastic. Abdallh is very detail oriented and made sure everything looked perfect. Like me, he doesn't like any wires showing so he makes sure to hide everything. He will install new electrical and cable outlets and he'll hide small receivers (DirecTV and Apple TV) behind the tv. He also installed a 102" floating wall shelf and that came out great. Can't recommend Abdallh and Rum AV Solutions enough! read more

Amazing! I just had my TV mounted by Abbey and he did an incredible job. He is extremely professional, efficient, courteous, and the service was very reasonably priced. Top notch. I wanted to install a full-motion TV mount on one of my walls, and although I found some studs, my studfinder was also detecting AC signals all throughout the entire wall. The studfinder was working properly but the wall has some metal framing behind it, so I figured I'd hire a professional to do it right the first time and avoid drilling any wiring. Found this company via Yelp around lunchtime on a Friday, and less than 6 hours later, my TV is fully mounted and set up at a reasonable price. So, already a great job for doing what was needed on such short notice and without any hassle when scheduling. Beyond that though, lots of fine details as to why Abbey did a 5-star job: he was courteous and polite, took great care to avoid damaging my car when bringing his tools in through the garage, wore shoe-booties and laid down floor covers to protect my flooring, and of course, did a fantastic job with the installation itself. He measured MULTIPLE times, made careful adjustments, cleanly zip-tied up any visible wiring with the appropriate amount of slack, and verified that the TV worked and that it was set up perfectly straight, level, and in the position that I had wanted. All of this took less than 45 minutes at most. HIGHLY recommend! read more

Very knowledgeable, very clean and very courteous. I highly recommend these guys. They built my "floating" shelf, installed it, ran all of the wires behind it and through the wall to the tv. The price was very competitive. Additionally, they made changes throughout the project at my request whenever I would change my mind. I also liked that they provided recommendations when I was unsure about a few decisions. Very good work. I will be calling RUM AV for my bedroom and basement as well. read more

I highly recommend Rum AV Solutions. Abbey booked our appointment within 48 hours of our initial call, showed up on time (called 20 minutes in advance to confirm he was on his way), completed the job (installing a power bridge, threading some cable behind a wall, and moving a coaxial cable outlet) in under an hour, and charged a very reasonable rate (cheapest rate I found among a handful of local competitors, as quoted over the phone - so, no unexpected charges). He was totally pro, brought all the right gear, wore a uniform, booties, cleaned and tidied up. Just fantastic service, and job well done. read more
