I had this company come out and wire my home for network and CCTV a few years ago and they did great work. Unfortunately, when I reached back out to them a few months ago to perform some maintenance on the cameras and provide a design for a larger smart home with AV, Doug strung me along for months before finally coming out to take a look and has since gone dark again. I saw some of the recent negative feedback about no responses for small jobs, but it doesn't see they are interested in any work . At least respond that you're not interested or don't have the capacity. I can respect that. But don't waste people's time. I thought I was being gracious over the holidays and hung in there based on their past work, but something has changed and I would not recommend them anymore. read more

Practia sent two sharp and knowledgeable guys over to my house to do an estimate. My house is wired for ethernet, patched for phone, and needs a few hours of work to upgrade the patching and move a fios setup to the patch closet. The estimate guy said I'd hear back from them within a day or two, but despite several calls and unanswered emails, no one gets back to me. Avoid these guys if you have a small job "few hundred dollars". The guys who came led me to believe they could fit me in the next week, but that was early December and no call back. read more

For three months they strung me along only to tell me a day before the installation that they have not tested the equipment so go with someone else. Marissa and Doug are pathetic and have no decency to even call and speak with you. After 16 text messages and calls, only response was the office decides, we don't. I highly recommend Practia for your residential TV mounting needs! My experience with them exceeded my expectations! My husband and I just moved to the area and needed help mounting our 65" curved TV in a tight space above our fireplace. I used Yelp's feature to receive quotes from about 10 of different companies, Practia being one of them. Doug was quick to respond and over the course of my work day, I was able to confidently pick Practia over the other companies because of their promptness to responding, their price for the job, their experience, and how soon they could schedule the service (the next day). Doug was very professional and pleasant and let me know what time to expect them to arrive. I also had the cable guy installing our cable and he mentioned that was a good thing so that they can also assist in directing where the wiring should go. Doug came by with Matt, a few minutes later than I anticipated, but within the half hour. Since we didn't have our own mount, Doug mentioned they can supply us with one which was a big convenience for us. Doug and Matt were skilled professionals and were able to mount the TV in last than an hour. Additionally, they took the time to make sure it was perfect in my eyes and they even offered to plug in our DVD player and neatly secure and tuck away the wires for a more clean look! I was very happy about that. And since my cable was just installed, they even made sure my cable was working properly. Finally, they even packed my TV box back for me to store, which was no easy feat! These guys really made me feel like they take pride in what they do and care about making sure the customer is satisfied. Practia visited my home, which is under construction, on 7/27. It was a very positive walk thru that I left thinking we were on the same page. Practia promised to provide a proposal for me to review. However, 4 weeks later I have received nothing while Practia has not answered or returned numerous calls and emails on the subject. Now I'm in the middle of my renovation and have to find another company due to Practia's inability to follow through. read more

Practia recently installed an unusual TV mount over my fireplace with a bracket (that allows the TV to drop down in front of the fireplace) only available from one small supplier on the internet. They were the only company in town that had any experience with this installation and were able to get the bracket at a discount that they passed on to me. They also salvaged my Bose sound system by splicing extra wire into its unique wire harness, creating enough wire to allow the wires to be installed inside the wall. They came when they said they would come, did what they said they would do, for the price that they quoted. They even encountered some unexpected problems inside the wall and with the speaker mounts that they handled with only minor expense (even though it required a follow-up trip to my house to complete the installation. When one small problem emerged later from one of those wire splices, they quickly came back and addressed it for no cost. They were careful to not create a clean-up mess from their work I found them quite knowledgeable and very professional. I would use them again without hesitation. read more

This is the go to company for any audio video needs. They mounted my 65 inch TV, did all the wire management perfectly, set up universal remotes in my tv room and bedrooms, installed app based lighting and garage door access. They also ran cat 6 network cabling throughout the house. Patched and painted all the work to the point that I could not tell that they ever made a hole. Set up access points so that my wireless is crazy strong throughout the house and even extends to the back yard and garage. Doug and his helper were very professional and exceeded my expectations for this kind of work. Very knowledgeable on all things. Pricing was on par with the three other quotes I received, however they came to do a free estimate and spent two hours perfecting my plans. I had a requirement for a "simple" installation of a flat screen TV in my home. I had purchased the TV and the wall mount at the same time from the same store, but could not get the installation to work. To get some help, I checked on-line prices and also got phone quotations for the installation. I selected Practia due to Practia's very competitive price and because Doug McClelland sounded as if he had the experience and expertise to do the job. Doug and his assistant showed up on time to do the work, and quickly identified that the TV was not compatible with the mount that I had purchased. Doug went out, purchased a correct mount and returned. In a few hours (from initial arrival to clean-up) he had the job completed. Total charges for the new 3-way adjustable mount AND the added time required to get the correct mount was less than one quote I had received for labor alone.
