It was freezing temperatures with snow fall in our area when we started noticing the leak. We called David Sade, per our condo management companies direction. David sent out a wonderful technician, Jon. Jon arrived on the weekend around 10pm and him and my bf cut open the ceiling to verify if it was in fact a pipe leak. It was determined that it was not a pipe leak, which then lead the brainstorming to take place of what is sitting on the second floor over that area. It was in fact a leak coming from the HVAC unit. Now we are pending the HVAC warranty providers to come and look at it. We are very appreciative that Chesapeake Systems Services and Jon was able to come out on short notice to look at this serious issue. The leak has already started spreading to the upstairs hallway and the guest room, but now that we identified it was not a pipe breakage, we are able to address it with the correct warranty people now. Thank you again for your wonderful service!

This was soup to nuts. They were consistently professional, honest, clear and helpful. But more importantly, they have remained so whenever we have needed them over the last 5 years. We have called on them for help when we mess up or set off an alarm by accident or need some other assistance. Recently I called because my wife and I could not even set up a new TV and set top box ( sad). I asked for their help. Sam Splaine the owner answered (as he often does - even during the evening when I call) and said I didn't need him to send someone out for a service call, he would just connect me by phone with Sean who installed our A/V. Sean called me from his car and spent almost a half hour on the phone walking me through the process. At no charge. Sam also answered my questions about how to check carbon monoxide detectors and battery change for our control box. I absolutely LOVE working with a small family owned business. I love reaching someone I know who answers the phone and not having to fight through an online chat or answering service. I highly recommend Splaine without any reservations.

I can't recommend Alex highly enough. Not only was his work excellent, but what really set him…read moreapart was his quiet professionalism, positive attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond. I had been putting off a few electrical projects for far too long: (1) Installing a Nest Doorbell Camera (wired) (2) Removing an old ceiling fan and installing a new one (3 Replacing an overhead light fixture I had gotten a quote from another electrician about 18 months ago, and they made it clear I'd be on my own for any drywall repairs or cosmetic patching related to wiring the doorbell. So, I had zero expectation that Alex would help with that kind of work. But from the start, I was impressed by how Alex handled everything: (1) His pricing was clear, fair, and refreshingly reasonable--especially after a recent experience with a plumber who charged me way too much. (2) The doorbell wiring was not a straightforward job, but Alex got creative. He figured out a clever way to route the wires using an old security system, saving me the headache of more invasive installation. (3) The ceiling fan ended up being trickier than expected. I assumed a wall switch was connected to it, but it turns out it never was. Alex spent nearly two hours troubleshooting the setup, but never once complained. He figured it out and got the fan installed beautifully. (4) There was a mix-up on my end with which light fixture needed replacing. By the time I noticed, Alex had already removed a different one. He quickly and graciously reinstalled the original and replaced the correct one--without any complaints or extra charges. (5) What should've been a 2.5-hour visit turned into nearly 6 hours of work, but Alex stayed calm, focused, and professional the entire time. He didn't try to renegotiate the rate or push for anything extra. He just got the job done, and done well. And then came the part that really stood out. After a long day of work, Alex accidentally left behind a few tools. When I texted him the next morning, he not only came back to pick them up, but--entirely on his own initiative--he offered to patch and caulk some of the drywall around the doorbell camera. I had absolutely not expected this. Even more impressive? He didn't plan to charge for the labor--just the materials. I insisted on paying him for his time too, because it was only fair, and the work he did made a huge difference. While I still need to do a little painting, the result is clean, tidy, and better than I could've done myself. A few final highlights: - Alex went the extra mile to deliver a result that looked good, not just worked well. - He was kind and patient, even when my 5-year-old came home and started asking him questions, and when our yappy little dog barked at him. - He was professional and low-key, communicating with me via texts and calls so I could stay focused while working from home. It's always a little awkward having someone in your home for several hours, but Alex's demeanor put me at ease. Bottom line: This was one of the best contractor experiences I've had. Alex was polite, skilled, fair, and genuinely cared about the quality of his work. I'd enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work--and will absolutely reach out again for future projects.
