Floy'd Landscaping was hired to address a jungle of a 1/4 acre yard that had been only minimally…read moreattended to in a few years of poor health. The landscaping challenges included out-of-control vines in front, back and side yards; overgrown mint and wild bushes in the rear and all but neglected flower beds in the front. The owner Froyland "Floyd" came out right away to provide an estimate, walked the property to discuss what was needed, gave a clear estimate and once hired had the crew out within a week. I appreciated Floy'd's thoroughness - for example, he wanted to pull back the vines from a woodland side a few feet more than I suggested, explaining that otherwise the vines would take over again quickly. (Another landscaping contractor had proposed to cut corners and simply weed-wack the tops of Virginia creeper which would've been a complete disaster and might've lasted 2 weeks before looking the same). Floy'ds crew showed up in the morning, worked diligently until end of day and the yard looked dramatically improved. Few things in 2026 feel "affordable" but Floy'd charged a man-hour rate that seemed fair. Would definitely recommend.
