Buyer Beware Our experience with The Big Screen Store and its President, Jason Brager, was extremely disappointing. We purchased two Parker House "Parker Living" genuine leather chairs, and one arrived with puckering leather on the arm. Despite repeated requests, Mr. Brager refused to send anyone to inspect the chair, replace it, or offer a refund. His communication was combative and unprofessional throughout the process. Only after several days of continuous emails and filing a dispute with our credit card company were we able to secure a full refund. I also reached out to the furniture manufacturer, and they confirmed that it is not the quality that should be expected. Be aware that this company is not customer-friendly. Their approach seems to be to wear customers down and keep as much of your money as possible. Mr. Brager even stated that used floor models are the "barometer" for new furniture quality--meaning if you see flaws in a used floor model, you should expect the same flaws in your brand new purchase. We would never do business here again, which is unfortunate since we were long-term customers purchasing more than 6 high-end televisions and a leather Palliser sofa before this experience. Found this same brand/color chair at Homegoods for $399.99 without any damage, which is more than $100 less based on their "sale" price plus delivery! There are so many places to purchases TVs but the big screen has better pricing than Amazon and big box stores while still answering the phone when you call. Not a Bose or Monty even the same brand as the tv (Samsung). I believe the manager name is Mike. We'll accept accountability on our end. Our grandfather shouldn't have been out trying to buy a TV by himself at 70+ years old. But the way they tried to get over is demonic. We went up there a day later, and I had to put my foot on their neck in order to get a full refund. Overall had a great experience from order to delivery. We had not bought a new tv for 10+ years and so when we decided to get a gigantic 98" Samsung to finish our basement reno, I looked at a lot of different sites. The Big Screen Store not only had the lowest price for the specific tv I wanted, but was in constant communication about questions and logistics. Because the TV was so large we had it delivered. The two delivery guys clearly knew what they were doing and worked with me to get the tv in our basement door instead because of how large it is. They were patient as I had to remove a gate in the yard that wouldn't open due to the snow! They were careful and conscientious, testing the tv before they left and taking all of the packaging materials with them. I hung the TV myself but likely would have trusted them to do it based on my experience. Would definitely consider future purchases from them. read more

We went to the Big Screen Store in Towson, MD to buy a 32 in Samsung Frame TV because it was the only place that had them in stock. We get there and we're greeted by a friendly gentleman who we told "we were here to buy a tv" he pointed to the TVs and off we went. As we knew exactly what we wanted we waited patiently for someone to become available. We were approached by Josh Wiley, we asked if there was a Samsung frame TV on display he pointed us to the display and went to see another customer. A few minutes later Josh came back to us and we asked is the TV was connected to cable. Josh said "No these are pictures of my golfing trip". We said okay and asked about a 32 in Samsung Frame TV as that is what we wanted. He took us to his desk. My husband was asking a few questions about the Direct Connect. We were being hurried along. Josh then said "You know this sale isn't putting food on my table" I looked at my husband in disbelief. As we paid cash for the TV and the install. I asked if it came with a frame to which I was assured by Josh that it was. Well it wasn't. Not only was Josh Wiley rude to us as paying customers his demeanor was very dismissive like we were wasting his time because "this sale wasn't putting food on the table". The sad part is we were going to buy a couch as well but left without buying one because of the poor service we had received by Josh Wiley. We have a small space and wanted to replace our 55" Samsung with another. Even though we loved the larger TVs, we did still want the 55". Dennis understood our wants/needs and wasn't pushy nor did he make us feel uncomfortable about wanting to purchase the 55". Dennis was friendly, knowledgeable, and we would recommend him and The Big Screen Store. The delivery was a fast turn-around. The salesman who helped us here was nice so I'll leave that alone. I'm rating so low because we paid a shit ton of money for a tv stand and surround sound bar. The tv stand itself was $964-ish. That's shy of $1000 for the tv stand alone. It's bigger and heavier than the average stand so figured maybe we were paying for quality. Well when it was delivered I realized that was a pipe dream. I had noticed small chips on a handle that most likely occurred while the delivery guys were bringing it into our house. I wrote it off as a necessary casualty. Well not even a month into owning this and it's gotten even MORE chips and from what I have no clue. I got close to the handles used a light and realized the "finish" on the handles is super thin and cheap. No wonder it's flaking off easier than a pie crust. Next I discovered the wood parts are also chipping paint now. This is pathetic for the price we paid. If you want quality, buy from somewhere else. There's chips and dings in so many places on this thing I'm pretty upset we wasted money on it. I'm gonna have to sand and repaint it to give it REAL durability because this was a total crapshoot. If you value your money spend it elsewhere because this is not the place. At least not for tv stands. @jason: no this is not a "rustic" tv stand. I am familiar with that design and that is not what this was in store. Nor is that the case when Iook at the piece in it's entirety. It's a smooth color all over and there were zero signs of intended distress on the example in store. This is a far cry from rustic. And why am I going to call you so you charge me for more handles? (The photo is just one of 4 that are chipping with that cheap finish) So the new ones can chip again? How much do I have to pay to get the quality I thought I was originally paying for? Just accept that you are selling cheap low quality tv stands. I spent a lot of money there. I love the surplus's sound bar and amp I purchased. We were looking to furnish our newly finished basement. We wanted a movie room. Walked in the big screen store and were immediately approached for help. Me, I am hesitant to trust salesman. Mike ended up being very knowledgeable and let us browse. We were looking for theater style seating and a BIG tv. We ended up getting a good deal on both. I usually install myself, but with the size and price I paid the extra 200 to get install. Install was great. All wires pulled through wall and hooked up. I read the review from 2021 from Jeanine M from Cockeysville below... She sounds like a karen, LOL. I was in the market for a 75". I stupidly bought a nice 55" a couple of years ago. It's a great TV but it's way too small. I saw a commercial for the store that said they had a surplus of Samsungs & was offering a lower price than their competitors. I came in & dealt with sales manager Josh Wiley who provided excellent customer service & was very knowledgeable. He showed me the TV I was interested in & the model above it. I wasn't in the market for a soundbar but he showed me two & explained the benefit of Dolby Atmos along with pairing a Samsung TV with a Samsung soundbar. I wasn't ready to pull the trigger yet so Josh printed out some paperwork for me along with his card which had his mobile number on it. Over the course of the next week and a half, I had some questions so I texted Josh who replied back in a timely manner. I ended up buying a 75" Samsung QN90B & a Samsung Q800B soundbar (with a subwoofer). They offer free deliver if you live in the area which made it easy not having to lug home a huge 75" TV box. I also paid to have them mount it to an existing mount & also wall mount the new soundbar. Their guys delivered the TV on Friday 3/10/23. As per their policy, they check the TV to make sure the screen is fine & the TV is in working order. The contractors came the following Saturday 3/11/23 & did an outstanding job. They ran into a few small issues but they handled them with ease & an extremely high level of expertise. I'm so glad I had them mount the new equipment. The contractors were spectacular. I would've been yelling & cursing the whole time especially the issues they ran into. All in all, I'm extremely happy/satisfied not only with the new TV & soundbar but the extremely high level of customer service I got at every turn from Josh & the contractors that mounted the TV & soundbar. These guys are great.....until you have a problem. Purchased two identical Mitsubishi DLP 70" televisions. Within 3 months of use on the first unit, it begins to shut down for no reason. I call the store, and they forward me to Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi forwards me to a local repair facility that keeps my television for over 30 days to repair (which they originally told me it would only take 5). I call the store for assistance and they constantly tell me their hands are tied. What do you know, but the 2nd television starts to do the exact same as the first. I am not sure whether I can live with the television shutting down for no reason, or do I have to go through the entire process again and lose my television for 30+ days. I place a note on their website to call me about the issue, and they don't ever call me. They forward me directly to Mitsubishi customer service. Thanks again to the Big Screen Store for selling me televisions and trying to close me with the "hey you better buy this tv before the next model year comes out and the price goes up." Guess what! There is no new model year. Mitsubishi is no longer producing televisions...... I bought two lemons, and The Big Screen Store does not care. I was going to buy a Sonos system from them. That will NEVER happen and I will NEVER return. And since they are the same company as The Sofa Store, I will not be returning to purchase my media room furniture from them also. Take my advice. Please beware of any purchases that you make from The Big Screen Store. We purchased the Big Screen Store 2 For 1 deal over the weekend. The TVs were delivered on Monday and the delivery team opened the box and plugged in both TVS to a white screen. The delivery people were in our house for less than ten minutes and did not examine the televisions but conveniently took pictures of a bright white screen from a distance to show there is no damage. Less than 5 hours later, the 70 inch TV was hooked up to cable and we could see a line to the left and bottom of the screen only when the screen is dark. We took pictures and sent them immediately to The Big Screen store. Mike called us back and immediately told us that this was damage caused by us and they will not be replacing the TV and he refused to allow us to speak to an owner or manager, telling me that no one can help me anymore than he has. I can assure you this was not damaged by us and was delivered with a defect. Is this why they are selling them 2 for 1 right now? During this time of a global pandemic and quarantine, it is sad that we have been scammed out of money that was spent on a TV that we can't use. I bought a Samsung 7100 from Mike and his team a few months ago. The TV was great except for the fact that it had a bad wifi board on it (kind of a bummer because that takes away much of the functionality of a SmartTV). This is really the only reason I give a 4 instead of 5 - but ultimately these things happen, and you judge a company by how they respond to a problem. I called right away and Mike and his team helped me work through the problem with Samsung. Samsung agreed to replace the set. At the same time as this was happening, I was planning a wedding, honeymoon and a move and the replacement fell through the cracks a bit timing wise. I called a couple of months later and Mike picked up the ball right away and got back with Samsung to have the TV replaced. The TV came this morning (72 hours after being on the phone with Mike!) and the delivery guys were great - very nice and they even hung the new TV for me. There are a few reviews on here that show negative customer service, but my experience thus far has been very good and Mike has been great. The double warranty and low price guarantee was the reason I chose the Big Screen Store, but after having these issues addressed quickly and the replacement provided so hassle-free; the best part of the experience ends up being the customer service. read more

Over the years I have bought four televisions and 2 Bose systems from The Big Screen Store in Towson. I'm preparing to buy a fifth. May even go today. I honestly wouldn't think of buying anywhere else. Their prices are identical to internet pricing (BTW, they are now exclusively Samsung, and those are price fixed). Why wouldn't you take advantage of the top notch service they offer? Their team knows televisions. The kid at Best Buy probably doesn't. They offer free delivery, set up, and they automatically give you double the warranty. I can also vouch that they stand behind their warranty, and then some. I had two Mitsubishi sets that I did have trouble with. The store took care of everything in getting them fixed. I also purchased a Bose Lifestyle system from them years ago. It broke twice within warranty, which they took care of. It also broke once outside of warranty. I paid Bose to fix that, but here's the cool thing. When I went back to them to buy another television, I just mentioned to the sales person that I wasn't happy with the Bose system. It wasn't a dig at the store. It was a dig at Bose. The salesman was shocked, and said he would make some calls. A couple days later I got a call from a Bose rep. They offered me a totally brand new Lifestyle system (This was four years after I purchased the original system), and they sent out a team to custom install it. I'm talking hiding wires behind walls and everything. All of this was at no charge. This speaks volumes on the customer service of Bose, but it is also a good reason to buy from a place that has solid relationships with the manufacturer's representatives. The kid at Best Buy would not have called anyone if I was unhappy with a Bose product. When you go to The Big Screen Store, you know you are getting a quality television. So many sets that you see out there are made specifically for big box stores so they can sell them for next to nothing in door buster sales. The stuff at The Big Screen Store is top shelf quality. You won't get junk there. A large television is a major investment, but if you buy a good one, you won't have to make that investment as often. They also have a great selection of furniture. On the 24th of October 2014 I was on a mission. I had hunted all over to get me a Samsung UN55HU8700! I was even willing to drive as far north as New Jersey or as far south as Atlanta. Best Buy did not carry it in their stores and delivery was 3 - 5 days (not an option for me). Big Screen Store came up in a google search and I had a very pleasant experience with them when I lived in Atlanta, so I pursued it. I drove to the one in Rockville to learn that they didn't have them in stock but I could take delivery tomorrow... I called to the location in Waldorf and the guy told me they had them in stock. I drove down there to learn that they didn't have them in stock. I left Waldorf upset, so while driving back home I decided to call the corporate location in Towson, MD and got a hold of Shane, who listened to my saga and suggested that I order it from him and have it delivered in the morning. I thought about it and determined that all this running around this may be my best bet. I placed the order with him and told him that I wanted delivery as early as possible. He emailed me the receipt and indicated that someone would be calling me around 7am to give me a 3 hour window. I received my call at 7am and the two installers were at my door at 7:23am. The installers were quick, professional and thorough. What a joy to leave everything to a great company and have it all come to fruition even better than one could expect! For so long I have just done everything myself and didn't realize there was actually joy in leaving delivery and installation up to someone else! Shane was extremely knowledgeable about all things Samsung and guided me through several decisions, before and after the sale! I am not the easiest person to please, so the Big Screen Store in Towson, gets big kudos from me!!! I can't stop without the icing on the cake, The Samsung UN55HU8700 is an awesome Ultra High Definition television in every sense of the word! The 3-D is by far the best I have ever seen. This was my first time purchasing a TV from the Big Screen Store and from here on out I will buy all my TVs from the Big Screen Store. Let me explain why. I stopped into the Big Screen Store to check out their TVs and see if they had more to offer than stores like Best Buy. Joshua was really helpful and I decided to purchase TV there. Eventually I noticed the TV had an issue with the picture. It was still under the manufactures warranty, so I needed to deal with the manufacturer to get issue resolved. To make a long story short that didn't go very well. Eventually, out of desperation I decided to contact Joshua and ask if there was anything he and the Big Screen Store could do to help me. He helped me out and my TV was replaced in a timely fashion with little effort on my part. The replacement TV works flawlessly and I'm very thankful for Joshua's help. I don't think I would've been given the same courtesy and assistance anywhere else. Bad Customer Service Thank you, for getting back with me regarding my unfortunate experience with one of your outlet stores. I'm in the Glen Burnie Md area and my wife and I have just purchased a new home. We went to the Big Screen Store in our area just to see what was available for purchase. We saw a beautiful Joshua Creek 63" Fireplace Console that we wanted. We did not buy it on our first visit but I went back for a second visit and purchased the item. I was instructed by the sale person who was great of the delivery process. It was stated that I would not receive a call during the weekend due to it being the Super Bowl weekend but I would receive a call on Monday regarding the time of delivery for that day ranging from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. I informed the sale person that it needs to be around the 9:00 am time period or later due to me having to take my daughter to school. As we do not have a bus service and she is in private school. He acknowledges that statement and the transaction moved on to completion. This morning while driving my daughter to school around 7:30 am I received a call from the Logical Logistics Company stating that my delivery was going to be between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. In addition, I was told that I was first on the delivery list since I'm local. I indicated that I was driving my daughter to school and I will be home in 30 to 45 minutes. The delivery person stated that they had to go down to Southern Maryland and I would have to reschedule. I said that is unacceptable and I want to speak to his manager. I was given over to another person who I thought was the manager that gave me the same information. I stated that it was not good customer service and unprofessional to call 30 minutes before a delivery to tell the customer that a delivery is coming in 30 or so minutes. I asked for the name of his boss and I was told that he was the owner of the company. So, I asked for the name of the company and I was given "the Big Screen Store" I said I thought you didn't work for the " the big screen company" and he I don't and I said you just gave me the name of your company and it's the same? He stated no so I repeating my statement and I asked again for the name of the company. Mr. John said my company is called "Logical Logistics". I then stated that I would call the "The Big Screen Store" and inform them of our call. Mr. John ended the call. Around 9:30ish am I did a chat online asking for the corporate headquarter contact information and received a response stating that I would receive an answer soon. Just as I finished reading the information on the chat box, I received a call from the sales person at "The Big Screen Company". I was asked "what happen with the delivery"? I stated the information listed above and I was asked "what can we do to make this situation better for me"? I stated "either delivery later today or in morning tomorrow". I was told "ok let me get a hold of the delivery person and I will call you back shortly. After, 1 hour I called the "The Big Screen Store" and cancel the entire order and asked for a full refund. I stated that I had found the same identical item for a lot less and I have decided to purchase it due to the treatment I received this morning. My refund was processed and the call was conclude. Around, 11:22 am , I received an email from a Jason call from a Jason Brager, General Manager of the The Big Screen Stores. We went over the above incident and he stated "What can we do to resolve this"? I stated again, to be put on the backend of the deliveries for today or a morning delivery tomorrow. Mr. Brager stated that it was impossible to put me on the backend for today and tomorrow there are no deliveries in the area. I stated that nothing is impossible maybe inconvenient but I'm made to be inconvenient as the customer so I don't see it as an inconvenient. Mr. Brager became a little flip with me and so I stated that's ok due to the treatment I received it led me to research other companies. I found the same product for a lot less. Mr. Brager stated that although, finding it cheaper there will be problems with the product as others have found and they came back to The Big Screen Store. I'm very disappointed because I went to that specific store because of new technology that I have never used. Instead of educating me and showing me how things work, they took advantage to sell me something extra - a sound bar that has such booming (heavy bass) sound that half the time you can't tell what people are saying. As I said, I went to that store specifically and the first thing I asked was if they would show me how the new TV's work. They said yes, when they were delivered. The salesman seemed to be under the impression that the delivery men did that. No, they do not, and they were concerned that I didn't have a serge protector. They were under the impression that I had been told told to have one when buying the TV in the store. No, I was not! I told the delivery men to take the one off the small TV in the bed room but they did not have the time. They set it up without one. I asked about the channels such at Net flicks, Hulu, You Tube etc., but they needed to leave to make their deliveries. They did take their time to wait for it to be connected to the internet system even though they stated they didn't have time, and I thank them for that. They had many deliveries to make and they aren't trained in education about the TV's. Their job is delivery not education. An internet tech man who was here the next day didn't really know how to use it and it wasn't his job. He looked at it briefly. The education about the remotes and what you find on screen should be The Big Screen store's job. They should show you instead of trying to sell something extra that isn't even appropriate for that customer. I did call the store after I became frustrated. I'm sorry to that young man that I sounded frustrated, and he did help me slightly. He also told me that I could have someone come for $99.00 per visit to show me. They should have done that in the store while I was shopping for the TV rather than taking advantage to sell me a sound bar that doesn't even have good sound. I was led to believe that this would help me since I have hearing aides. No, the sound bar is horrible! The background music booms and you can't hear the people speaking clearly. Finally, the next day a young man from Comcast came. Finally someone who knows what he is talking about! He was very competent and he was patient with this non tech person. I defiantly wasn't frustrated when he was here! I didn't ask him if the sound on the sound bar could be changed because I really hadn't used it that much - for obvious reasons stated above. The small older TV in my bedroom sounds better than that sound bar. I would like to keep system, but if the sound bar can't be modified, it must be returned. I really don't know how to deal with salesmen of this type because I feel I have been taken advantage of by selling me the sound bar rather than educating me. My husband and I went in to purchase a sound system for our tv. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in choosing the right system for us. Now the amazing part. After we got it home, my husband tried setting it up, but something wasn't quite right and it wasn't working. We called Josh on his cell number that he had given to us in case we had any questions. Despite the fact it was his day off AND his anniversary, he offered to come over and help us sort it out. He spent over an hour and a half working on the issue and didn't leave until it was resolved.
