Working with Absolute Audio was a great experience. I took my 2008 Mercedes into the shop and asked for a quote to have an Airplay compatible head unit and a rear back up camera installed. Stan was very friendly and worked with me to crunch all the numbers and explain to me any pain points that came with the install. He was knowledgeable and patient when answering my questions. After receiving the quote, he had to order a few parts and the dash kit to make it all work. We scheduled an afternoon to drop off the car and he called me by lunch time the following day, letting me know my car was ready. Had a special situation with my Volvo XC70 that I wanted to install a new Kenwood DMX47S head unit into. The vehicle had a dealership-installed Volvo/Motorola bluetooth phone system in it (2006 model) that had to be taken out first. I spoke with the owner, Stan, and dropped it off, only to get a call about 45 minutes later stating he wasn't comfortable working on it because of the current setup, which I have to say, I respected. I came back and picked up the car, disappointed.....temporarily. The next day (a Saturday), I got a call from Stan stating that he contacted a Volvo mechanic who'd sent him the wiring schematics for the bluetooth system, and that he would be happy to take care of installing the new stereo head unit. Well, suffice to say, I couldn't have been happier with the results! The install looked like it came directly from the factory, and sounded twice as good!! I am totally satisfied with Absolute Audio and will wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.  Their prices and quality workmanship are amazing. I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner and finally decided to upgrade my original equipment radio to HD and Bluetooth compatibility.  As a seasoned citizen, I am not as up to speed on newer electronics as younger folks.  Stan patiently walked me through the different radios that would fit my vehicle and meet my needs.  With Stan's expert advice, I decided on a Kenwood Excelon DPX793BH.  I did not immediately buy it, I wanted to check online reviews and pricing.  The reviews were great, but my biggest surprise was that I could not buy it any cheaper on the internet !!! When I pulled the trigger, the installation was completed exactly when Stan told me it would be.  When I picked up my beloved 4Runner, Stan was busy and one of his colleagues took me to my vehicle, ran me through the basic operations and stayed with me until I was comfortable.  That level of service is very rare today.  The radio fits like a glove and looks as if my 4Runner was born with it. Absolute Audio has done installations on 5 vehicles for me and they exceed expectations every time. These guys will actually listen to what you want, how much you want to spend and what kind of sound you like to achieve. And guess what? They will be honest with you and treat you right! No surprises. No hidden charges. No problems. Just great work and great service. The last couple of installs they did for me involved changing out speakers, amps and sub in a Grand Cherokee as well as a more custom install in my 69 Chevelle. Both are beautiful. Sound fantastic, look fantastic and work seamlessly. They did quite a lot of custom work on the Chevelle as well as a 2009 GT500 convertible. These were a heck of a challenge because Stan does not like to modify anything that does not require it and he wants to deliver the best product and service. I have not been disappointed. I love to work with businesses that show pride and professionalism in their work and that for sure is Absolute Audio. They are honest, legit and stand behind their work. They installed Xm/ Sirius sat radio in the Lexus. Lexus wanted $800 to do the same. Just an FYI to Sirius customers- all quality (non portable and wires all over the place) built in sat receivers are XM. You pay more to get all channels with XM. Install very clean and still use's the steering wheel controls. They also do installs for the local Toyota dealerships. They did such good work I had them replace the stereo in the Trans Am. Thank you I now can hear the stereo and talk on blue tooth. The stock 300w monsoon was horrible now I can hear clearly. Also still use factory wheel controls. :) read more

I was recommended to use Absolute Audio. I own a 2006 vehicle and needed to see if my stereo was shot or could be fixed. I expected to need an appointment. To my pleasure Stan came out to the vehicle and did a quick check. He needed a few minutes with the vehicle and took it into his shop. Few minutes later he indicated the stereo was broken and I needed a new one. Again, I thought I would need an appointment but he indicated he could put a new one in for a good price right away. 45 minutes later I'm off and running. Nice new stereo for my 2006 Pilot! These guys are awesome! They did everything that they could to help me and were super nice about it! I purchased a new car radio from Best Buy in Towson in February 2019, they do free installation when you buy something like that so I thought "perfect!". The soonest appointment available for me to get it installed wasn't until April. So I showed for my appoint and the Best Buy tech realized that I didn't have the right harness for my radio. So we returned that one and he sold me the correct one but since my car is a hybrid and needed a special one they didn't carry it in their store, so we had to order it and reschedule the appointment, the next one being in May. So a month later my brother took my car to Best Buy to get the radio installed since I had class. He got there on time and walked into the garage on the side but the tech wasn't in there, so he went around inside and waited in line for about 10 minutes and was told that the tech should be out there. When he went back out the tech said he was late and refused to install it, claiming that he "didn't have enough time" and that it "would run into other appointments". So they refused to do it. No one at the store was willing to do anything for me except make an appointment for June 2nd and give me a call if anything opened up, which I wouldn't have even been able to go to because I couldn't just drop my plans of going to work or going to class because they screwed up. At this point I was fed up with them, so I got a friend who's a mechanic to install it. He's not an audio technician so he mostly knew what to do but upon installing it he realized that the AC wouldn't connect to the new radio. He called Best Buy's customer support and they told him he would need a resistor to connect 2 wires in order for it to work but they had no clue what type of resistor was needed or which wires needed to be connected. Unfortunately a resistor was not included in the parts sold to me by Best Buy. My friend recommended absolute to me, saying that if anyone could fix it it would be them. So I brought my car in to them, they took a look and said that using a resistor didn't make sense, that it was the harness and they if anything it probably needed a different one. They however do not sell JVC radios (which is what I had) because they don't work with the harnesses that they use. After trying several different things they discovered that the radio Best Buy sold me wasn't even compatible with my car; in fact it's not even recommended to replace the audio unit in my car at all. They're only suggestion was to put the original radio back in and see if I could return the JVC radio to Best Buy. Which they were glad to do and only charged me for an hour of labor (far less time that they put in to try to figure out the problem. When I went back to Best Buy I ripped them a new one and was able to get all my money back, rightfully so, especially since they falsely advertised on their website that the radio was compatible with my car. So even thought these guys weren't able to fix the problem, they were able to conclude that there was no fix and gave me everything I needed and then some to return it to Best Buy and were happy to put my factory radio back in. I highly recommend Absolute Audio, all the guys really know what they're doing and they offer great customer service to those who didn't receive it from Best Buy. read more

Stan and his group do rock star work. He built a custom TV bracket for the roof of my jeep, installed Hertz stereo equipment all over and connected the TV and front to the playstation in the Jeep. Ok, this is the first of two reviews I will give Absolute Audio. I found them through Google and had them install a POS (I'll let you figure out what that acronym means) stereo I bought from Amazon. I worked with the owner, Stan. He was gracious and installed my stereo for a very reasonable price and didn't try to up-sale me. So, Two weeks later I realized what a POS this sterio was and I re-contacted Stan. In the end he had his crew install a very reasonably priced system that to this point has excellent blue tooth and is overall excellent. Their prices were very reasonable and the customer service even in amongst his team in the shop was exceptional. In and out the door in about 45 minutes and with a good tutorial on system operations. Outstanding experience!!! Highly recommend. I will write another review in about six months to let all know how the system is holding up. read more
