Yes, this place is a bit "casual". The customer lounge is definitely Frat House Chic and I got there by walking through the upholsterer's area (where I first stopped to chat with their tech who has been doing upholstery work for 42 years!) then down a hallway lined with furniture and foam rolls. This is an old school shop where they don't worry about having a latte machine or inspirational posters on the wall. But the Manager offered me a cup of fresh Joe from his Keurig while I waited for the urethane sealant to cure and every single person I talked to their was genuinely friendly. I actually spent most of my time pestering the tech who installed my windshield because watching him work was mesmerizing. This guy was a true pro and he never asked me to leave him alone (although he may have been thinking it). I went to Clearview to get my front window sides tinted. She is a brand new, attractive 2022 pandemic car. It took 30-45 minutes for the installer to do 2 windows. The passenger side window did not show faults, but the driver side had big scratches visible every time I check my mirror to change lanes. I went back there for a second try, but the installer still could not make it smooth. There were blemishes, so I decided to go Baltimore. The installer seems confident he could do it better. One word Excellent. I recently bought a Lexus Ls430 that I purchased with tinted windows. When I went to get the Maryland inspection, I was told that none of the side windows or rear window could be tinted below 35% light penetration and unfortunately my windows were 32.8% due to windows already having a slight tint. I was not happy at all having the vehicle fail for such a small percent. I brought my vehicle to Clearview Auto glass Howard st location and the guy behind the counter took such good care of me and even came out to give me a quote to have the tint reinstalled after I have the vehicle re-inspected. I remember back in 2014 when the cops woke me up early one Saturday morning; it was misty and rainy and I had been up WAAAAY too late. "Sir, is that your car?" I stepped out into the cold Fall morning to see the entire back window of my 2013 Spark ...gone. . So I call my insurance and they use Safelite. Safelite couldn't see me until Tuesday. I called around and no one could help me. I knew just around the corner there was this Ckearview place that was by the car wash (Go to Canton Carwash, btw). So I called them and they said "come on over." Within a few hours my car was fixed. I saw they did tinting, so the following Spring they tinted my car and did a wonderful job. I bought the voucher but didn't need it. When I bought my 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ turbo, I brought it straight here. They did such an awesome job in the tint, people asked me more than once where I got t done. Unfortunately, my windshield was tinted and I was in a part of town I had no business being in and a cop pulled me over and gave me a work order to have the tint removed. Luckily, I bought the tint voucher and had the tint removed off the windshield, had a cop sign the work order, sent it off and had the tint put back on and bought another voucher. Only, a cop can't sign, it has to be an inspection station . So I had to have all of the tint removed from all windows. The inspection station at Exxon on 25th and Howard wouldn't pass it otherwise. Problem was that Clearview was between tinting specialists! So the manager did it himself. It took him a while. But he looked out for me and did a good job. I'm back for another job. Whatever I have done to my car, if they do it (glass, tint, etc) they will be the ones to do it. Go here! They are honest. They stand by their work. They will not take a job that they don't think they an do a good job on or that may be problematic. They treat their customers well. And I'm here so much, it looks like they treat each other well too. read more

I had the unhappy experience of driving on 95 at 3PM on a weekday, when some object from the road bounced up and shattered my windshield. I determined it was probably unsafe to drive without a solid windshield and with tiny pieces of glass all over the dashboard. As I was being towed to the shop on Benson Ave, one of their employees was already on his way to pick up my replacement windshield. The job was done before they closed that night. Amazing service! Not to mention they replaced a wiper (without upcharging it 200%!) and even vacuumed the shards of glass from my interior. Would not go to the Benson Avenue location again for upholstery work on my car. Pay the extra $60 and go to a competitor. After only 5 weeks the headliner came loose in two places already. Broke the bracket surrounding the incline leader of the front driver seat when reupholstering the seat and cannot get it to reattach properly. My daughter recommends this place (but Howard st) to replaces my windshield. (My insurance company didn't cover windshield) so I have to pay for it. Clear View's price was very reasonable I think. After its complete, the technician (Robert Park, whom replaced the windshield for me) told me that Clear View also replace my mirror. (I have 2015 Lexus NX200t and I had a little accident but don't want to go through an insurance company) So I call the Clear View again to estimate the mirror price (I already had one estimate from the Lexus dealer) The price they call was less then half from Lexus dealer and the parts were from the Lexus. Don't take long time to replace the entire passenger side of mirror. Thank you so very much for helping me.
