BEWARE - DISHONEST OWNER, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, AND EMPTY PROMISES! I came here because of the positive reviews--BIG MISTAKE. Either they're fake or negative ones are being filtered out. I brought in my imported 2000 Honda Legend (the Japanese version of the Acura RL) and explained this very clearly from my first call. I was told repeatedly they could handle it, no problem. They scheduled a home visit in early September, but the day of, no one showed up. I had to call them, only to be told last minute that a staff issue with ICE meant they weren't coming. Fine, things happen. I rescheduled and brought the car in myself a week later. They assured me they had the glass and I'd be "in and out." Six hours later, I was finally told they had the wrong part. It doesn't take six hours to figure that out--especially after I'd clearly explained it was a JDM model. The owner, Henry, apologized and claimed he'd "drive to Pittsburgh" to find the correct glass. I doubt he ever did. It became clear they were trying to cover for their mistake after damaging my original windshield even further. Eventually, they realized what I said from the start: a U.S. windshield doesn't fit a Japanese import. Henry said he'd work with my importer dealership and insurance to order the correct glass. He offered, unprompted, to pay $40 per day while the car sat in the shop and to cover my deductible--an offer he made multiple times in front of his receptionist. I even reminded him the glass could take a month to arrive, and he agreed. It then took them two full weeks just to pay the dealership so the order could be processed, despite insurance already being involved. The irony? The discontinued glass shipped from Japan faster than they could organize payment or paperwork. When the new windshield finally arrived, Henry said he'd personally drive to Richmond, VA to pick it up and have my car ready by 10/21. I confirmed this multiple times, took time off work, and paid for Uber to get there. When I arrived that morning, the car was not finished. Stickers were not remounted, the rearview mirror and sensors weren't reattached, and the interior was filthy--despite being told the car would be "covered the entire time." To top it off, when I calmly mentioned I'd be leaving an honest review, one of the employees told me I'd "ruined it for everyone" and that I "don't support small businesses." And that I'm ungrateful. This was said while he was holding a tool and talking over me-- all because he couldn't properly reinstall the mirror. Completely unprofessional and borderline hostile. Now Henry is backtracking on the $40-per-day commitment--a binding verbal agreement under Maryland law--and likely won't honor his promise to pay my deductible. Thankfully, all of my insurance calls are recorded, so this will be documented. This entire experience has been one long lesson in incompetence, dishonesty, and lack of accountability. From broken promises to wasted time and outright lies, this shop operates with zero integrity. Save yourself the stress, money, and frustration. Avoid this place entirely. Do not be fooled by the glowing reviews--you've been warned.

I then scheduled a drop off, took the day off work since i wouldnt have my car and left my car there for an entire day. They "couldnt do it because they needed a part." yet they never called me to tell me (mind you this is TWO WEEKS after they told me i needed to come in so they had plenty of time to have the part ordered). I finally called them when i hadnt heard anything and learned i needed to re-schedule again. It was then re-scheduled and thats when they offered to provide an uber ride back and forth to make up for the previous experience. When i dropped my car off there was an uber waiting. When my car was done I tried to call Aaron at Caliber who had given me his number. He was supposed to call the uber to pick me up at home and bring me back to Caliber Glass. He never answered and no Uber ever came. I eventually had to have them lock my keys in the car and had my daughter take me to pick up my car after they were closed. I would NEVER use them again. Poor communication, poor customer service, and the windshield installed wasnt even cleaned before i picked it up.

They actually deserve 5+ stars! Here's how our story went…read morethat led us here. We were driving home to Essex, MD, from a nice vacation in Virginia. We were about 1/3 of the way when we saw balloons flying about the highway. We did not think too much of it until one hit our windshield . These balloons were the size of a hardball. What was going on was someone had put stones in them, just enough, and tossed them out of an open car window. One hit our windshield, and we got an immediate star that progressed to a 10" crack. The star could have been fixed, but not the crack. We now have a safety hazard that needs to be replaced. We called Safelite because of their reputation and made an appointment. The day came, and we took the suv in. They immediately pulled it into the service area with a prediction of 1 1/2 hours. It was done in 40 min. The waiting room was very clean and supplied with cold bottled water and a Keurig machine to make your own coffee or tea, a good assortment. Before we left, the technician explained there were 2 strips of tape about 10" long to keep the windshield in place, remove them after 2 days. Ok. We drove off after paying the deductible, then 2 days later removed the tape, we'll, it left the adhesive part on the roof from the sun baking it. We took it back, and they had the stuff to remove it. We were happy! You could not ask for better staff and friendly employees, each and everyone from start to finish.

But the time went by quickly. Even better was my car insurance covered the repair at 100%! Yay! Everyone was very helpful, informative and courteous, from the receptionist to the technicians. I was also text messaged and informed about the progress of the repair. It's awesome that this business cares so much about doing a good job and treating people fairly. My car turned out great, and the tech was very pleasant. Thank you Safelite Rosedale, your team rocks!

UPDATE 7/18/2025:…read more Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my review. Last week my window failed to roll all the way up. I got it home and tried to roll it down to roll it all the way and....no dice. Since then I've been trying to contact Safelite to come out and fix the issue. It's only been three months since they replaced my driver's side window, and they have a warranty. But you can't follow through with the warranty if you are unable to reach them. I started by 'chatting' with a representative on their website. She referred me to customer service. I found a page on their website to put my information in to follow up on a warranty, but my information was not recognized. So, after receiving the error message listing a number to call, I did in fact call the number. I went through a series of prompts but was relieved that I would finally be able to speak with somebody. NOPE. After about 5 prompts I was directed back to the website, and then it hung up. Wow. I found the phone number on my phone of when I was contacted by Safelite and called THAT number. I could not leave a message because there was no voicemailset up. Wow, again. At this point I'm not getting a warm fuzzy about their customer service. So, deal with them at your own risk. I'm going to keep trying to contact SOMEBODY in the Safelite chain and I'll update accordingly.

I get a phone call and get told Wednesday morning 10/8 that unfortunately my windshield shattered in shipment. I was then told the new one would be available to be there in two days, okay no problem. Meanwhile, I get my windshield plastic wrapped and the guy at the store didn't do the greatest and didn't have the best customer service. He saw what caused it and goes "Well that's what caused it" and starts to chuckle. I don't find any of this amusing. Fast forward to today 10/14, I've been playing telephone tag with customer service trying to get the easiest resolution. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING has been easy. There has been a serious disconnect amongst the shops and the customer service call center. They need to fix this and get a better line of communication established. Just a HORRIBLE experience.

Beyond contaminants and poor finishing, the biggest issue is that the roof itself was cut into during the install. There are clear, visible cut marks in the carbon fiber--damage that was not there prior. This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of care and professionalism. A carbon fiber roof is one of the most sensitive and expensive panels on the car, and cutting into it during a PPF install should never happen. What made the situation worse was the response. There was no accountability from management or staff, and instead of addressing the issue professionally, I was met with dismissiveness. To make matters even more disappointing, one of the employees went as far as making inappropriate comments about my vehicle--completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I've trusted this shop for years, but the quality and customer service have clearly declined. I'm now dealing with damage to a panel that was previously perfect. I hope they take responsibility and make this right, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.
