What a reprieve from the torture that is Safelite. Superior is a locally owned small business that I'm so thrilled I stumbled on to in my search. My windshield was cracked from a rock and I needed it replaced, while insurance routed me to Safelite, they were terrible, and did not know how to deal with the calibration. I didn't realize you do not need to use safelite to have insurance cover the repair. I cannot recommend enough to call Superior and avoid safelite all together. They knew what they were doing, did it quickly and got it fixed. Insurance or not I would absolutely come back here again if I needed a repair. It's hard to find (tucked back in the middle of a warehouse complex), but don't let that dissuade you. It's fast, friendly service and it will be done correctly. Highly recommend. read more

So... I bought my vehicle in February, and sometime in March I noticed a crack in the windshield. I wish I had paid attention when I bought it, because if it was there on that day, the dealership would have been paying for a new one! Oh, well - lesson learned! Anyway, since I had major expenses in April, May, June, and July (what the holy heck!!) I hadn't taken it to be evaluated for possible repair... until it was obviously too long and getting longer. A quick Yelp search brought me to Superior... I entered my vehicle info on their website and immediately received a quote, along with the assurance I would be contacted quickly. This was late in the day on a Monday, so I didn't expect an answer till the next day. Sure enough, on Tuesday morning I received a call from Ken, and we scheduled my replacement for Thursday at 0800. Vehicle was taken in promptly at 0800, and I was told it would be between 60-90 minutes. Had to drag the grandkids along, so I had them pack up their electronic devices and we walked two blocks to a Dunkin'. I'm not kidding when I say how shocked I was to receive a phone call about 40 minutes later - the vehicle was ready for pickup!! The bill was as quoted (plus tax, but hey), and I was given clear directions on how to care for the newly installed glass for the next two weeks. It was definitely worth a bit of a drive, for such amazing service. And the price was on a par with other glass places in the area. read more

Not thrilled they jacked up a body piece around my windshield. Lots of glue and reasons but doesn't line up and is not secured. They bent a bunch of stuff to make it work but still looks horrible. Not happy. Sealant left on my brand new wiper blade. I hear wind noise and pray it's not an issue. Customer service is beyond EXCELLENT. Only reason for 4 stars vs 2. It took almost two weeks to install because their schedule was fully booked. Installed at home. Took 45 minutes to complete. Installers were courteous. Explained issues they noticed from the last windshield replacement by a different company (e.g. primer on paint, too much bonding material). Reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Seriously, Ken and his team are the best!! Got a crack on my front windshield glass of my 3 months old car. This had never happened to me before so I called my car dealer to only find out they use a very average company, and they don't work with my insurance company (longgggg story...) Hubby decided to shop around and found Superior Windshield on Yelp with great views. I called Ken and he told me to bring the car in the next day. He first checked to make sure the crack was beyond repair. After listening to my super long story about dealing with the car dealer and insurance company, he picked up the phone and called my insurance company to see what exactly was going on with my insurance policy and coverage and got it all straighten out for me (Ken is within State Farm network). From that point, everything went smoothly: getting pricing for different glass (generic vs original), having it installed etc. Ken always provided updates as soon as he has one. He even told me at one point that "It'll get better" when I was so upset about the crack. It took about an hour to have my glass installed. And they use really good quality adhesive that dries completely in 24 hours (not all adhesive/glue are the same, and some shops won't tell you their glue takes longer to dry). Before leaving the shop, I was also given very detailed instructions (when to remove blue tape, when to do car wash etc). Here's a few tips and things I've learned: 1. Don't panic and dont go to the dealers when there's something wrong with your windshield 2. Call Ken 3. Mobile service available when it isn't raining (there is distance restrictions, call to double check) but even if you are out of their mobile service range, just go to the shop. I had tried using another well known windshield replacement company who were nothing but rude and refused to do anything to make up for their mistake. The replacement windshield was cracked and wouldn't schedule me any sooner then their next available appointment in 2 weeks. When I called superior on Friday afternoon they understood how not OK that was and were able to get me in that Monday morning. Which I was incredibly grateful for and appreciative of. Our 2000 Toyota Avalon had developed a leak. While sitting outside in the rain, water would develop inside the car in the foot well. Very weird. Figured maybe one of the windows seals were leaking. We dropped the car off in the morning hoping the repair could be accomplished easily and cheaply. When we picked it up later and discovered that the sunroof drain had become clogged and was easily rectified. They even tighten down the air deflector for the sunroof that had been making noises. I'm so very grateful to Bobby Olup of Superior for taking the time to assess my windshield issue. I had just had my cracked windshield replaced by another company when it cracked again in the same place. Bobby was kind enough to come to my home to inspect the damage, and within seconds, told me what was causing the windshield to crack. It was the car's strut banging against the windshield. By solving this puzzle, Bobby saved me the cost and hassle of having the windshield replaced again, then having it crack immediately after. First let me say, Ken is really nice. I assume he is the owner....he was very knowledgeable about the business. Unfortunately, he was out for personal reasons and the shop just can't seem to function without him. I showed up for my appointment last week and when I was parking (35 mins early) I was receiving a call from the shop. Apparently the glass that was sent for my vehicle was the wrong one which didn't matter because it was broken. Not necessarily their fault....yes I was annoyed but I assumed that could be resolved by simply ordering a new glass. Not so.... Here's where things get better....I call the insurance company the same day, explain the situation, get approved for a dealership certified glass because the after market glass would take months. Why...not sure. I call...leave 2 messages....no response. I call the owner and ask him to relay the message to the shop. Still nothing. It's now Monday....yesterday....and I get in touch with someone at the shop that is unfamiliar with the situation and advises he will call me back once he finds out the status. He does thank goodness....only to tell me the owner would prefer to handle the situation once he returns. Possibly 2 weeks.... No thanks. Shop # 2...Fail. read more

I have an older truck with a de-laminted windshield. Old enough that glass is expensive as hell to get for it through anyone. I found a dead stock windshield for a great price and had it shipped but never having replaced a windshield I wanted help from a pro. Last week I had set up an appointment with Safelite only to be stood up by them. This was a major inconvenience because I own a small business and I had taken the vehicle off the road for the windshield replacement. I had only called Safelite because it was the first thing that came to mind because of commercials. After they did not show up I used Google to find another windshield company and came across Superior, I called the office and the gentleman that answered the phone was extremely nice and very helpful. They came out today as scheduled and replaced the windshield on one of our work vans. I dealt with Ian and he is extremely professional and they did a great job! I have used this company twice to fix my broken side window, and now Windshield. They are always fast to respond and install, but fail to be thorough with the end process. Both times, I had to go back to the shop because they forgot to connect the fuse for the side window, and this time they didn't connect my windshield wiper properly. When I tried to use them the next day on a rainy day, one fell off while I was on the road. I can't suggest this shop highly enough. I had a rock kick into my windshield and leave a large crack while I was traveling for Thanksgiving. I tried another windshield repair shop and they wouldn't even attempt the repair. Went to Safelite on West Street. Showed up for my appointment. No Glass and no calls to tell me no glass after I had made transportation arrangements. They would reschedule my appointment and order factory glass at almost 4 times the price! Called Superior. They got clean Honda Glass for a junk yard. It was installed same day at the original price of the Safelite estimate. Safelite Pros great location, cool vans and great shirts. Safelite cons Poor communication, aftermarket glass, didn't really care about me or what I went through to get there. Quote one price then quote another almost 4 times higher. Seemed a bit bait and switch to me. Superior Pros Amazing Service. Delivered the product at the price and timetable quoted. They even delivered my vehicle to my home because I didn't have time to pick it up! AWESOME! Superior Cons Not located on the main drag. didn't have cool shits and vans.
