My tech, Nate, was fantastic: friendly, clear about what he was doing, and clearly focused on getting it right. The whole visit took about 25 minutes and the chip looks great. 12/10 possible stars if I get the survey. This place is horrible. I was directed here through my insurance company (Erie) to get my windshield rock chip repaired by Safelite (in Annapolis). When it was over the chip looked worse and had extended into a small crack. I have gotten windshield repairs patched before and they usually look better. This one didn't look like it was repaired and now there was a little larger crack. The tech assured me that sometimes occurs b/c they had to "open up and clean out the chip" to repair it. I was skeptical but let it be. One week later that crack had fully expanded to extend the entire half of my windshield on the passenger side from top to bottom. These guys have no idea what they're doing and it's a racket that the insurance companies initially drive you to them. I'm getting my windshield replaced now (by a different more reputable company with better reviews) but I'm out a hefty deductible. read more

My husband needed to have the windshield in his Mazda replaced. Using our car insurance app, it was very easy to set the appointment with Safelite. The technician, Isaiah, was very communicative. He called me first thing in the morning to let me know my expected window of arrival and then he even called me to let me know he'd be early if I could accommodate him. Of course, I'll always take an earlier appointment! Isaiah explain the entire process to me upon arrival and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The windshield had a very, very minor cosmetic, scratch on it that I could barely see, however, he wanted to give us the option to not have it install installed if we would prefer to get another one. It was so minor my husband couldn't even see it, but we truly appreciated. Isaiah bringing it to our attention. He assured us that it would not affect the integrity of the windshield in any way and, that if something did happen, the windshield was under a lifetime warranty. Isaiah did a great job and he did it with a smile on his face and a great personality! It was an absolute pleasure dealing with him and we are very pleased. read more

Horrible experience, ended up cancelling service and requesting a refund after the 3rd reschedule. Requested a windshield replacement due to a large crack (car not drivable without getting a ticket). 1st time the Technician called out on a Saturday (understandable). 2nd time the tech tried cancelling again, but we didn't even have the car ready because the appointment date was booked without our knowledge. Manager Thomas tried blaming us for this and ultimately led to our requesting a refund. 3rd time the Tech wasn't able to work because management booked the time for 5pm in the winter and it's too dark outside. We initially offered to have them come back out, but were met with a minimum waiting period of a week. Manager Thomas also cared more about this becoming our fault for the 2nd of 3 instances than addressing the issue. My experience was with the Glen Bernie mobile repair was disappointing. I had to make my appointment for a week and a half ìn advance. There was no immediate openings, so I drove with a broken seal on my windshield while I waited for the appointment. Next, the initial estimate was much lower than the second one. It was 162 dollars more! Last, I was only liable for the 100 deductible since my insurance pays for the rest of the cost. He charged me 166.76. BEWARE!!! Had them replace my windshield in our Lincoln Corsair. Was charged $495.00 to calibrate the ADAS system. It took the technician 10 minutes for the calibration to be completed. When I questioned the cost I was told some calibrations take several hours and some only take a few minutes. I called the dealer and was quoted $136.00, which was too late after I had already paid Safelite. This is highway robbery, and amounts to $3000.00 an hour for tech time. This Safelite location is by far the worst facility in Maryland. I had an "All Day" appointment and was instructed to bring my vehicle in by 9:30 AM, promptly. I drive a Tesla, and when I arrived, they asked about the battery percentage. I told them it was at 51%. They responded that they could only work on the car if it was at least at 65%. This would have been crucial information to have before bringing the vehicle in, as it disrupted the rest of my scheduled appointments for the morning. Nonetheless, I returned with the car at 70%. The car sat there until around 1:15 PM, when I received a call from Safelite at this number: (813) 808-1545. A woman informed me that there was an abnormality in the windshield they had ordered for my car. She offered two options: they could install the defective windshield and take $100 off the fee, or they could order a new windshield, which would delay the repair until the new one arrived. I assumed the abnormality was minor--see the picture here. However, after four hours of wasted time and being without my car, I called back and asked if $100 was the best they could do for an abnormality that would be glaringly visible at night. The woman from (813) 808-1545 then began yelling at me, saying, "Well, at least I gave you the option. You had an all-day appointment, and there's nothing we can do about your lost time or the abnormality." She continued to speak to me condescendingly, as if I were a child, saying, "You do understand this, correct?" Is this the kind of customer service we pride ourselves on in 2024, when service options are endless? I didn't create the abnormality in the windshield, nor did I cause the overall problem, yet this is how Safelite employees treat the customers who keep them in business? Completely unacceptable! I received no message that they were coming, so at 5 I called to see if the technician was on the way - but Safelite was closed! I called them the next day and they tried to reschedule me without any acknowledgement of the inconvenience and when I asked what happened, they rudely just said that he didn't come, without an apology until I asked multiple times. 11/16/24 - 01/02/25 The short version: They damaged the forward camera on my BMW M5 while replacing the windshield. The repair cost me $2,078.55 ($1,338.25 for the camera + $660 in labor +taxes). Key issues: 1. After replacing the windshield, they couldn't reconnect the camera to the car's computer. 2. I had to return 3 times, spending 10 hours in their waiting room. 3. They ultimately couldn't fix it and told me to go to the dealer. 4. When confronted, the manager (Ally) denied responsibility and forced me to sign a safety waiver before returning my keys. 5. BMW of Annapolis found the camera connection had been damaged beyond repair. 6. Safelite refused to reimburse me for the repairs, despite clear evidence the damage occurred during their windshield replacement. 7. The car's computer log shows the fault appeared when Safelite first changed the windshield. 8. I tried contacting the Safelite District Manager (Markus Clark) but received no response after a week. Now I'm forced to report them to the Better Business Bureau and sue in small claims court. This has been my worst service experience in 15 years. I strongly advise against using Safelite. read more

Don't take your Tesla here, they will screw it up. I am very disappointed with the service I've received from Safelight. Because my insurance uses Safelite to handle their glass claims I scheduled an appointment to have my 2024 Tesla Model 3 front windshield replaced with the Annapolis MD location. I was ensured by the Safelite rep on the phone that this location had experience with Tesla vehicles and could complete the repair. I dropped off the vehicle and was told that it would be ready in about four hours. Five hours latter I called to check on the progress and was told by the technician that they had an issue with the software they use to recalibrate the sensors crashing, but that he thought he had it figured out and would be done soon. Half an hour latter the technician called back and told me that the job was complete and that I could come pick up the car. When I arrived I was told that they were unable to calibrate the sensors because they did not have the correct cord/wire to connect to the vehicle and that I would now need to take my car to Tesla to have them do the calibration and that my safety systems would not work correctly until this was done. Why did Safelite schedule me for service that it could not complete? Why did the service tech lie to me and tell me the repair was complete when it was not? The staff at this location were unapologetic and unprofessional about this issue. read more

My insurance policy referred Safelite after a break in. The window included a sunshade mechanism that was also housed in the same slot as the window. When the window was damaged, glass was in the middle of the door and the sunshade didn't roll the same. After I received my car back with the window replaced, wish I was happy to see. I realized that all of the glass was not cleaned out of door and the sunshade mechanism was not fixed. Really? What would it have taken to clean that out. read more

I had two appointments where I dropped off my car for a windshield replacement and they called 30 minutes later stating the windshield they were going to put in already had scratches in it. They claimed they check the windshields every morning when they receive them and because I was an 8am appointment they didn't have time to check it. When I arrived, they told me I'd have to replace the whole windshield, and said I'd have to schedule another appointment. They refused to even look at my windshield! Getting my cracked windshield replaced was the easiest process ever. You can book through their website so easily, whether you prefer Safelite to come to you, or you are going to their shop. To save $30, I opted to drive to them. I had to reschedule my appt and it was effortless through the website. I received a text confirming my appointment. I showed up for my 10:30AM appointment, was greeted, and they took my car back right away. 40 minutes later, new windshield! The lady at the front desk, as well as the guy who took my car back were both so friendly. Also, there is a feature when you can submit a pic of your damage to see if you need repair or replacement. Generally, cracks that are lines need replacement where if it's a dot, it can be replaced. Couldn't have been easier! Highly recommend. read more

I've had a stunning experience with Safelite. My windshield had a crack, and I scheduled an appointment for glass replacement on November 6, 2022. I brought in my car, expecting it to be repaired, and got a call at the end of the day, in which the service rep asked me if I was aware my glass was cracked and would need to be replaced. Why else would I possibly bring my car into Safelite? They made me come back on November 21, and I dropped my car off again, only to be called later in the day and told that they didn't have the right glass available. They told me they'd call me and reschedule when they were ready to go. I came back in on January 4, and they finally fixed my car's glass, but somehow, managed to break my car's cruise control, blind spot monitoring, crash detection, and lane departure warnings. When I expressed my disappointment and frustration, the customer rep said "Hey at least you have a new windshield!" Incredibly frustrating experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Well he was a no call no show and I haven't even gotten so much as a call back. Called corporate and they labelled it (in the system) as I have to reschedule due to bad weather (though it was a beautiful 81 degree sunny day) and still nothing. Performed all of the necessary services, and provided all of the information that I needed to know. The Technician was an example of great Safelite customer service. The Facility was clean, comfortable and easy the locate near my home. The vehicle was repaired exactly as I had expected. However, the first person that I met, when arriving at the facility, was an unwelcoming lady with an attitude not suitable for front office customer relations. Being that the facility manager, sitting next to this lady, seemed to condone this lady's attitude, he is, in this 35-year customer service manager's opinion, equally unsuited for the front office. Great little shop. Brought my 2017 Chevy Suburban in after a rock put a dime sized dent in my windshield. Called Safelite in Annapolis and they took me right in and was able to get the chip repaired in less than an hour. The staff was super friendly and the environment was very clean. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars because I was told that my truck would be vacuumed and washed and that didn't happen. Regardless of that, I still recommend the shop. They did quality work and my main reason to come in was the rock chip and not the car wash, although it would've been nice to have the truck cleaned. Either way, 4 stars for an excellent business. Needing to get my windshield replaced, I contacted Safelite through there online scheduling. I scheduled one of their mobile techs to come to my house and replace the windshield between 12-5 (which is a massive window of time to begin with). I left work early and called the local office to see if I could narrow down the timing a little better and was told it would be closer to 4. 4 o'clock passed and there was still no tech. 5 passed and then at 6 I finally called and they said the main company phone number and their response was "oh sorry, we will have the office reach out". Never heard from them. So I had to call them and they gave me some run around about how they didn't know what happened etc. I asked how they could make it right since this was essentially now going to cost me a full day of work (leaving for two five hour windows) and the womans response at their office was that she would knock of the mobile fee. That's BS and no one should use this awful service. It's the exact same cost but I'm going to GoGlass in Easton because they actually have customer service. Side note: I have used Safelite twice in the past and the reason I chose the mobile service is because last time I took my other truck to one of there shops, they damaged a ton of clear coat on the roof where they were prying the old windshield out.
